Daily Check in: Thursday
Food: no control
Water: 25 oz
Exercise and steps. 13635 steps
lets start with the credit worth acts from yesterday. i did not fall asleep at work, i got my steps in, i had a great counseling session. i took a walk outside with my pooch and put up my new frog flag.
lol, when i redid my frog i gave him a butt crack. lol it just really makes me feel good. not the but crack but the whole frogs welcoming you on our front steps!!
i over ate yesterday, but before i did, i took some time to really think about what i was feeling and why food was the answer. baby steps but progress. so just for today, i will not binge. it stops here. the will not spend another weekend over eating. i will use my self soothing techniques and if all else fails i will reach out to a friend. have a great day. i will check in a little later. going to be a long boring day at work.

Love the Frogs!
I know this is late, but thought I would post my work in progress or starting point for my weekend gardening. We have a small property, in a very populated area, so I don't have much to do, but really need to find some plants. Hopefully perennials to replace all my awful weeds..

I also bought a book, I’m on page 2.

It’s not going down. Stayed in deficit all month long. Unless 1400cal or less is not my deficit anymore but hell I refuse to eat less I’d be too hungry.
Well let’s see what June brings but I’m losing motivation here... to try to lose the last 9-10 pounds and just starting to maintain.
Sorry I’m not around too much. I try to read some at least at night. It’s just a busy time of the year and I usually fall asleep around 10pm with phone falling on my face

Thursday Check in
Food - good ended up over as I had a snack after I closed my food diary
Water - great
Exercise - 11,000+ steps
Working on my June challenges. One thing for sure is to prelog all my food the night before. Only one day I can't do this as we will be at a wedding and who knows what the food will be! I also need to be more consistent with Yoga (have you ever heard me mention this before HAHAHA!!) min - 3 days a week! So a total of 12 yoga videos or more in June! And I want to get out on my bike. I haven't been out once yet this spring!
Tomorrow will be a fun day - I got tickets to Antiques Roadshow up in Fargo, ND. Day trip!! Wait...LONG day trip! It's a 3 1/2 hour drive from our house, but we figure we can do it! We're still deciding what to bring to be appraised. One for sure is my grandma's decanter. It's worth nothing, but I want to know a little more about it and the age of it. I think I heard it was a wedding present, they were married February 14, 1922
@sleepymom5 - I'm sure you just being there for your friend and her husband is a blessing. Just to have someone visits that cares about them. You are a good friend!6 -

This is good & have been feeling increasingly in the zone. Yesterday was on track & hit 10 k steps. I am off for a 5 k run as part of a virtual race. I have my leg taped up & will do a run walk if I need too. The race time is irrelevant as long as I can just finish pain free!
@sleepymom5 - I am sorry about your friend. It is good that you are staying in track in a stressful situation5 -

I ran my virtual 5 k! One of my slowest times ever but did it pain free! In my dark times this winter, I did not know if I could ever do it again. I chose the virtual race so there was no pressure, but they still sent me a medal, bib & shirt. A very nice way to end the month of May!

just a small gain. I was down to 164.9 on Tuesday then had lots of salty food since then. Got in a water aerobics class today and plan to work in my garden this afternoon cutting down all the weeds.7 -
@Cafelelia that must have been painful. I know one time I had poison ivy and I got a secondary skin infection. ughhh. I am glad you found a doctor that could help. and omg the pic with your son holding the bird is wonderful. it truly makes my heart sing!! and that is a really nice loss!! wooo hoooo. and you did it. you made the run. I am soooo proud of you. you never gave up. what a wonderful nsv.
@Shirin_K maintains are good. you got this. and you are right. you should not worry about it. remember weight loss is not linear and the scale is not a reliable indicator of you daily progress. ohhh and base ball with your little one. soo lucky to have the energy. look how far you have come. what a great NSV
@eyesopennow I have the same picture you have hanging on your wall in your office. lol. and your office is not that messy. you are always so busy. what are the balls in the pan for? and omgosh you have another great loss this week. happy dancing helps you lose weight. grab wifeys had and get jiggy with it!! I went to the main page and I still see the may spreadsheet. try again.
@twyla77 thanks have you looked at my new picture showing the frogs back side? lol he has some butt crack itis. that will make you smile!!
@ljdanny ohhh yea that's the way to do it! good job lady. and your right young love is so beautiful and innocent.
@carlsoda well it hasn't rained today yet... maybe I got some of your weather! thanks. I didn't know you could fedex weather. and consistency is the key. you can do it. I just love that trail. it looks like the woods behind my house, except there is no trail. you have to mark your own as you walk!! and maintains are good. remember weight loss is not linear!! and I think it is time for your to get your calendar out and put it on the frig. make your exercise days with permanent marker. no excuses. what to or not it is on the calendar, you do it!! I would love to go to the antique road show. I think that is awesome you get to go. the history behind the decanter will be very interesting. please share when you get back.
@kirsten11872 yayay I am glad you are track. I am just glad you stop by and let us know your still working your plan. you keep that up. ohhh girl and you got your sweat on!! sooo sooo proud of you. you look amazing.
@lennoncpa I bet you clogging burns a lot of calories. have you every tried to estimate it? I know you have been struggling but there is no better time than june to kick your goals in the but. get out your paper and put a plan in motion. no more excuses.
@amsandos I am go glad you find comfort here in our group. it always amazes me how unkind we can be to ourselves. I am working on positive self talk. it really is helping break the cycle of negative cyndie bashing. every time I go to the bathroom, I look in the mirror and say out loud positive uplifting things. I look myself right in the eye and I don't pull a way. then at the end I tell myself how important I am to me and that I love me. I know it sounds sappy but why? we love our friends, we love our family, we must love ourselves. people who have disordered eating have crazy body distortions. the more you tell yourself good, positive, loving, things the more you will start to believe them. it really truly is worth the practice. and I love your 24 hour plan, how did you do?
@sleepymom5 you really are a kind and good friend. I am glad that this trip didn't derail you. ohhh yea! I am doing the happy dance. look at the new pam go. wowow. I am proud of you.
@Julie8468 that is just a small gain. how are you doing? I love your cute cozy back yard. hey and dandelions are a flower!! let me know how you like your new book. sounds like a fun self help book.
@lenka1 well at least, no matter how small, it is moving in the right direction. good job. we do miss your input. are you doing your 24 hour plan, drinking your water, getting your sleep and eating when your hungry and stopping when your satisfied? maybe it is time to tweek your plan a little. not necessarily food.
@hkfleming nice loss. how have you been doing?
@hope002 hey at least it is the right direction. how is everything going?
@pacsnc6 yup that baby gain could be explained by water retention. your lucky you can get in your garden. I am going to mud in my plants this weekend. lol

@Cafelelia and I forgot to tell you "you are sooo stickin cute" I just love that beautiful smile!2

Weekend eating schedule.
One strategy that really helps many dieters to gain control over their eating during the week was following a set schedule of eating. This enables members to cut out the all-day grazing they used to do because they had defined times for when they would eat and when they wouldn’t. Initially, people resist following this schedule during the weekend, saying that they want their weekends to have more spontaneity. However, not having an eating schedule on the weekend led members back to constantly grazing in the kitchen and continually asking, “Should I eat now?” This meant that they struggled with whether or not to eat more often than they did during the week – and it also meant that they took in more calories. Members realized that it was worth giving up eating spontaneity (but not necessarily the activity spontaneity) if it meant a regained sense of peace!5 -
Hello & TGIF!!!!
I am feeling good, have stayed on track for quite a while, I am feeling motivated! I got on the scale this morning, I am within .4 of last Saturday's weight, I am so happy! It is sunny & warm here today, so I am going to the gym tonight. With tonight's elliptical workout and tomorrow morning's workout, I should definitely be back to where I was last week, maybe even a loss unless my body does something out of whack. The WW / IF combo is really working.
@cyndiesstuff thanks! Love your frogs! The frog's butt crack made me laugh, too cute!
@Cafelelia great job! Cute pic!
Have a great day & weekend!2 -
Friday's photo is supposed to be something extraordinary. I offer this:
Heart shaped eggs. Aren't they the cutest? The extraordinary part is not that they have been engineered to look this way, but that after all these years Wyfe still sends me love letters like this. I'm so lucky.7 -
Picture of something extraordinary...this amazing sandwich OMG!!! It’s marinated tempeh, fermented apples, grated carrots and vegan secrets sauce on fresh sourdough bread. I ate 1/2 w a salad and just now ate the other 1/2 for my dinner. I was so sad when it was gone. It’s my fuel before my 10K tomorrow.3 -
Enjoying everyone’s posts but super bz! Great check in @cyndiesstuff !1

Went out to eat for my son's birthday, I ate half and brought the rest home and only had 2 beers. That is a good night for me. My husband also went out when we came home and I didn't go. Yay me!! Tomorrow I am meeting my aunt's, cousins and sister for lunch so hopefully another good day. Starting Monday my son starts a new job so everyone needs to be out of the house at the same time. We have 1 bathroom, yikes!! I figured I have to have all my food planned out the night before because there will be no time in the morning. Next week I have something to do every afternoon so I am going to try my hardest to get up early. Let's see how it all goes. Maybe the scale will move a little more by Thursday.4
-
Sorry I am just too tired to write and tomorrow we are getting up and out early. I have over a 6 hour drive back to Florida so I want to get on my way. I will try to catch up tomorrow night or Sunday morning.6

Quick reflection on May:
- Lost 5.3 pounds, need to continue to find a good way to get to closer to 0.5 pound per week loss. I have not been successful at this slower rate of loss. I guess this a good problem to have, but I don't want to lose muscle mass and I don't want to get side effects from too rapid weight loss (I had some in the early parts of my journey and it was not fun).
- Have been to much less yoga since looking for my dog, packing, and then caring for my very ill found dog have taken over my life lately. I miss it. I am getting much more exercise in my daily life than normal due to packing, moving boxes, cleaning, searching everywhere (by foot) for the missing dog, etc. But I miss my yoga classes and can't wait to get back to them soon. Hopefully in another 2-3 weeks things will be more status quo.
- Looked in the mirror several times this month (including this morning) and was really happy with what I see. I love my new hair cut and my new glasses and my new outfits and my new thinner look. Really was a weird feeling. Today especially I was looking really good (in my eyes).
- I now get comments several times a week of others commenting on how much weight I have lost / how good I look / etc. Maybe even a few times a day this week. It has been good to see that others see the changes I see in me too.
- I have walked away from my prior routine of STRICT logging including weighing every item and every ingredient in every recipe. It was giving me some anxiety ( and still is) but I have continued to lose weight at about the same pace. I am trying to stick with my previously established routines which is what allowed me to stay in my prior range when I was logging. Things like - I drink my chai tea with higher protein skim milk each morning and then eat a "snack" of about 150cals around 10am. I aim for ~400 calories for lunch. I eat about 500 cals for dinner. I snack on same higher protein and other snacks I have been eating such as cottage doubles, noose yoghurt (LOVE this stuff), jerky sticks, single serving cocoa almonds, raw fruits and veggies plain, etc. I am still using lower calorie salad dressing. I am still weighing a serving of some foods (like trail mix) but not logging the individual items as strictly. I eat dessert not more than once a day and eat smallish quantities. Overall, I have been happy with the transition. Still not completely settled in seeing how this will go for "the rest of my life" since I am not on a diet - but a life style change. But I am hoping this looser routine based method will prevent me needing to log every single thing for years.
- I got rid of the final pieces of clothing that I was holding on to from my larger size. I now have a few clothes that fit pretty well. Some are already getting somewhat loose but most are still perfect fits - and the looser ones are far from hanging on me. It feels good to have clothes that fit. And I don't have to worry about mooning a much of strangers while I walk through the grocery store.
- Made it past 60 pounds lost. Less than 20 pounds till my initial goal weight (am being flexible with this depending on how I feel and look). 15.7 pounds till a normal BMI. Wow! I am 75% of the way towards this initial goal. ~300 days in on the journey.
Plan for June
- Maintain my sanity while getting moved, settled into the new house, this current house up to snuff to be listed, and then sold. Ugh - just typing all that makes me wish it was July.
- Lose about 2-3 pounds (not more than this!)
- Get to at least 4 yoga classes this month
- Relax on my planned vacation for last week of June, consider buying a new swim suit. This is one piece of clothing that I still think I have from the "old" sizes.5 -
My something extraordinary. This sweet almost 14 yo dog being able to stand and eat from this food bowl. She is even walking short distances today. And the best thing - she wagged her tail this evening for the first time since surviving her harrowing week lost from home. When she was found she was very near death. I have been giving bags of fluids from the vet and meds and bowls of food /drink right up to her mouth and carrying her weak body wherever it needs to go. She is going to pull through and that is extraordinary to me today.8 -
Daily Check in: Friday
Food: some better
Water: 48 oz
Exercise and steps. 14868 steps
yesterday i drank more water and got in some good steps. i got a phone interview Tuesday morning for that job i applied for. i have sooo much to do this weekend. today, going to the folks this morning to mow grass (if it don't rain, they are calling for scattered showers). i also bought her a blood pressure cuff, i am going to see if i can show her how to use it. i want to get some planting done and give muttly a bath. lots to do, no time for compulsive overeating! lets hope. it may look like i am just spinning my wheels but i am not. i am learning ever day and putting what i learned into practice. but it is called practice for a reason! i will not be perfect but as long as i never give up this is going to be the last time i lose this weight.5 -
this is my grand daughter sophia. i don't get to see her except thru pictures. she has the most beautiful smile and it warms my heart.
this is my extra ordinary. the lord gave me this breath taking sunrise this morning. now please please please, no rain.
