Fitbit Charge 3 had an update late in April. Many of us who have Charge 3 and installed the update are having problems, I have not synced since 4/29/19. Today is 5/16/2019. Very frustrated. The last suggestion was to go to some other person's house and see if I could sync on their computer/device. (So I might have to visit this person every day?) I tried to use my husband's desktop computer, but he does not have blue tooth and I don't have a dongle. We don't have a lot of devices here to choose from, we are very rural and get our internet and telephone service via satellite. Wireless phones have no signal so I own the cheapest possible mobile, just enough to call home from town to see if the spouse needs the red whatsit or the blue one. Not willing to pay $75 a month for that call.0

Be aware that app updates sometimes change settings.
On MFP side of it, app setting for Step Source has to say Fitbit to sync the accounts (after the accounts are linked already).1 -
I had to delete the app & reinstall - so far its OK (charge 3).2

Sorry it worked for about 12 hours - now it's stopped again1

Same here! Thanks for the confirmation. I sent in a support email but got boiler plate AI email. https://status.underarmour.com says Partial Service Disruption.0

My sync isn't working, tried disconnecting/reconnecting, force closing app, restarting phone, no luck.2

With a main point that really should be followed if you want to get out of it:
Our team continues to investigate to isolate the root cause of the issue. At this time some users will see no data syncing, while some may see some data syncing sporadically. We are working on resolving this for all members.
During this time, please do not relink your accounts, as this will further increase the backlog of sync requests.

Here is the reply I received regarding the syncing issues with Fitbit -
Fitbit Sync Issues
Tuesday, June 4, 2019, 10:21am PST
Our apologies for any issues with your connected Fitbit account.
Yesterday at around 11:45am we noticed an issue with our Fitbit sync causing a backlog which would affect the data syncing between the two program. Over the course of the last 24 hours we've seen improvement in our backlog of sync requests, only to see the backlog grow again, and thusly sync issues returning.
Our team continues to investigate to isolate the root cause of the issue. At this time some users will see no data syncing, while some may see some data syncing sporadically. We are working on resolving this for all members.

We will continue to update this article as more information becomes available. Please check back for further updates. Thank you for your patience while we work on getting things back in order.
All the best,
MyFitnessPal Staff
Thank You8 -

I've not been able to dynch for a few days1

I'm having issues with the apps syncing and then saw the generic message today saying to to reconnect... oooops I definitely tried to reconnect twice last night before I saw this information.
Fingers crossed they resolve the issue soon x1 -
I meant 'saying not to reconnect'!!0

Yes.
link given in thread for those interested - just need to read the responses to find it.1 -
So I'm curious. Does the API degraded performance alert indicate that sync is still down? The reason I ask is because it indicates that the Android app is operational.0

Syncing is between accounts, not involving the App - the app is merely access to your account.
It had it's own issue with food entries.1 -
Ah gotcha. I honestly never use the website but I checked it and now understand what you mea0

My Charge HR isn't syncing for some reason.1

Sure would be nice if there was a notice sent to our email account or to the app alerting us of the issue. I've followed the standard advice of unlinking and re-connecting several times over the past few days only to learn that this exacerbates the problem!4

I can sync but it doesn't reflect exercises calories in MFP. It used to and I haven't changed any settings. Is this part of the problem?0

Exercise calories was never brought over to MFP.
Fitbit sent daily calorie burn. (and steps, and weight)
MFP compared that to what it estimated you'd burn with no exercise.
Your Fitbit Adjustment that happens to be in the Exercise Diary is only the difference between them - which could be some exercise and increased daily activity, no exercise, or some exercise and decreased daily activity.
It was never just exercise calories.
How do you know you are syncing?
Food showing up in Fitbit?
MFP showing steps that is somewhat current?0 -
Do you know when this issue going to be resolved1

read the responses in the topic - you'll find a link to keep updated. This isn't an update topic from MFP - no such thing.0
