July 4th is the Independence Day holiday in the United States. There are always patriotic parades and fireworks.
I’m in Kansas City, MO and there is a famous group of Navy pilots that perform high speed and high altitude acrobatics.
Yesterday, I saw this group flying in preparation for their upcoming performance. They are called the Blue Angels

Happy 4th America!!
I am taking an intentional pass day today. I will still workout and choose healthy foods but today I won't track calories because I will be eating other people's foods and it is so hard to judge what is in them without asking a bunch of questions 😂9 -

I did TWO workouts today, an hour in total. Plus I burned lots of calories while vigorously cleaning my house and MarieKondo-ing my bedroom.
I would love to say I found my motivation but if I'm being honest I was procrastinating and avoiding doing boring adulting stuff, paperwork and phonecalls are not my favorite. But I could have binge watched Netflix while eating chocolate to procrastinate so I'm patting myself on the back (and I'm NOT rewarding myself with food so extra pats!! )

Feeling a bit melancholy because one of our police officers here in Nashville was killed by a 17-year-old driving with a suspended license. She ran a blinking red light and t-boned him and then he hit a pole. His car burst into flames. Only 28 years old with an 18-month-old son. So horribly sad. Also, heard the news about California. Hope all are okay there.
We opted to stay home today. Youngest son got in about 1 p.m. from SC. We grilled out and since I made the food I was able to track and measure.
My oldest son and his wife are still in Ireland but we still have Toby, their Brittany.
My pup Ollie was very sick yesterday and I was very worried about him but he is so much better today!! Almost back to normal.

Back home and back to routine today. Went to the hotel gym every day and did my best to track while I was away, but it was mostly not my own food/portions, and I didn’t eat as carefully as I could have those last few days. Really enjoyed myself but know that I need to keep working on how I eat in those sorts of situations. Planned my meals and went grocery shopping today, so I’m glad to be back to it.

@BonnieHosk85 sorry your day entailed sorrow for the fallen police officer, John Anderson, in Nashville. Our heroes in blue often face insurmountable challenges. They give their life for our protection and are commended for their service. Glad you were able to share your afternoon and evening with your younger son. Also, pleased to hear that Ollie is feeling better!

Feeling kind of old and perhaps guilty today. My one son wanted me to go to see fireworks in DC by him, my other son wanted me to go to Inner Harbor Baltimore to watch and my daughter wanted us to go to Solomons Island and view from a boat. lol I told them all no I hate traffic I'm just going to walk the dogs and stay home. I feel like I should have gone (missed opp and all) but if you knew how bad the traffic is in this area ugh! c-r-e-a-k10 -

Today, it's a YES to all three. My exercise was 30 minutes of mowing the lawn and 15 minutes of powerwashing the deck. I know those aren't technically exercise, but when the Real Feel is 108 and the humidity is 93%, just stepping outside takes real effort!
