    Happy Friday!
I'm really happy to see the good news - a pound down for @Gidgitgoescrazy , 2 pounds down for @Steph1498 , fantastic steps from @eyezbydiana and everyone else (myself included!), and @Terytha heading for the miles with kilos of courage. @micki48 with a trainer! This is all great news.

I walked so much yesterday in Montreal that I'll probably never be able to make that many steps at home, but it was great. I simply did not take the bus or metro system anywhere - only walked. And when I got home there are a few inches of snow on the ground! This makes me very happy. Not enough for snowshoeing yet, but it has begun.

I'm really glad your husband is OK @Gidgitgoescrazy - that was quite a scare. Have fun working on a Friday :grimace:

I'm off to get my flu jab after doing Pilates for today. How is it going for anyone else doing the Pilates for a Purpose challenge? Today's the last day already!

    Steps: 11/07 :9683
11/7 Workout: Superman Workout #1: Chest/back/Traps/calves and swim pool walk for 25mins.

    SW: 107.0
11/8: 106.0 (scale at the gym was old school ...I didn't have anything else to weigh on since I wasn't at home. )

Perhaps it was yesterday's workout that I am feeling...wowza...I do feel my back now that I think about it. Tonight my hubby and I scored tickets to a free concert at a casino that is about an hour drive away from our apartment. I am NEW to Memphis, after living in South Dakota for ....well, 48 years. Nice day out today...32. I can get used to this!

@jugar Snow...YUCK... how much of it do you want? Its good that you live in canada - seems you like the weather more than I did. I'm a beach girl.

I logged my food yesterday. Looks like I forgot something...its only 1400 calories, I think I had more than that. I need to work on accuracy as well as logging in a timely manner.

Nutrition tip: I was reading Jim Stoppani's Superman Workout Meal plan and noticed just how many times a day he has a protein shake. It got me thinking....maybe I could use a protein shake more often as my 'water' and that would help fill in the want for a 'chocolate mud batter' from swiss miss. I'm going to try it. In any case, the protein will be healthier for me. and it should reduce my sugar cravings, at least that's what I've read....sugar cravings can be from not eating enough protein.

I need to start work. I'll try to read posts as I get time.

Yes @Shexio I love snow! I have always been a winter person. As long as it snows a lot. I also would put in a word of caution about protein - I think it is possible to go too far and really tax your kidneys. You are a small person and do not need anything like the amount of protein of a Superman, so just be careful if you ramp it up. And a protein shake is not a sub for water! I have found that sugar cravings are from sugar itself. The more you eat the more you eat... My 2 cents' worth to take or leave! But also a reminder to weigh in today, or let me know if you just want to carry forward your starting weight. Since you started part way through the week, it is up to you. Thanks!

@micki48 - If I drink tea, I want a ton of splenda in it, so I don't drink any.
newest idea is to use chocolate protein shakes / watered down for the sugar cravings.
AND, I could nuke it for a hot cocoa if I want also.

@Cory17 Passing on Halloween candy! WIN!!! I used to keep a salt shaker on my desk and douse food with it so I wouldn't eat it.
In a pinch, soaking treats in water works also. then its easier to toss them, because they are destroyed. I should do this more often come to think of it.

@evangsimmons170 & @Terytha - you write? I helped my daughter publish a piece on ?Kindle? or something. its easier than you think if you do it online, it was free if I remember right. She was 13yrs.

@Jugar - thanks for the cheering up on my food. Once I get back into logging it will be a no brainer. Yes, the fiber was excellent. Do you like my protein shake idea? This group seems really fun. Its been a while since I found a group that was active and all.

I'm low weight on purpose. 102/103 is my ideal. #3-4# isn't a LOT right now. But, if I let that go and each year gain 4 lbs. in 10 years that's 40 pounds when I'm 59 and 80 more pounds when I'm 69. If I stop it now, It will be EASIER than if I wait until later.

    Nice job on Montreal.

@micki48 Thanks for helping with the spreadsheet! Honestly, I had never looked at it before. I signed in using my desktop instead of using my phone and the site is easier to read. Especially the community blog! I checked on the spreadsheet layout and my steps. I got a new phone last week and my watch (that previously caught all my steps) wasn't paired correctly. Could you update the spreadsheet for me for the last week with these steps?
    11/3: 10,685
    11/4: 13,113
    11/5: 14,338
    11/6: 10,486
    11/7: 11,852

Lastly, its awesome to see the people in our "Waistaways" spreadsheet it helped to reaffirm that we all are in this together and there are so many other people that want to improve their fitness too. I am feeling connected and committed!

@jugar Here's my Friday weigh in
    CW: 167.8
    PW: 169.8

@steph1498 steps are updated. Congratulations on a great week. Awesome loss too. Way to go!!! 🎉💪🏼👏🏼👍🏻

Well Husband is fine and back to work, apparently all the tests came back just fine.. I noticed on the one med the dr told him to stop taking that there is an FDA warning that stopping this medication suddenly can cause angina and other side effects... and that you need to reduce the medication to stop... So WHY would his dr tell him he can stop taking it and not have him lower doses 1st ??? stuff like that irritates me to no end... Anyway, he got home yesterday before I got off work, so all is back to normal... Well except for the fact that I am working on a friday, that's weird, but my new normal for the next 4 months... Today was my weigh in... drum roll please....

1lb.... I am super happy with that, between the weekend away, the stomach virus, the hubby in the hospital, and not smoking through any of it... I am taking that 1lb and holding it up like the greatest achievement ever!

    Have a great friday !

Fantastic news about your husband. And way to be successful!!! You are inspiring taking on so many things. Congratulations on your loss! We’re proud of you. 🎉💪🏼🚶🏼‍♀️👍🏻👏🏼🤗

Seattle was foggy so we landed in Spokane. We've been stuck on this plane for an hour and I hear we're probably getting kicked off to fend for ourselves. I'm hungry, exhausted, and potentially stranded in the middle of nowhere in a foreign country.

So there's a reasonable chance we'll miss the funeral after all this.

Guys, if ever there was a time to flip this diet the bird and eat a whole cake with a bottle of vodka as a side, this would be it. -_-

    Hi All!

Seems like it’s been chaos for most of this this week. I’ve managed to go out and socialize and keep it in calories range...Will be focusing more on water, veggies and proteins..and getting in my gym time.

Going to get to the grocery store and get some greens for smoothies...think I need a greens -pick me up.

Working to post a loss on Sunday....I’ll keep the next few days 💯 percent on point to get to the goal.

Ugly happens - it seems you are far from the only one to have struggled with Halloween! And to add a birthday on top of that, you KNOW this was very special = not to be repeated often, right? Don't get mad, get even, as they say  But no matter what, you're here, we're going to know, and we'll all have a great happy dance with you next week.

I'm in SLO MO today, but I think I'll blame the flu and the pneumococcus vaccinations I had this morning, ok? Really I feel fine, but just not like doing much.

@shexio - you are right about how those 10 pounds add up and up! I am so glad I got rid of a good lot of poundage before 60, and now I'm cruising through my 60s feeling pretty great. You have taken my place as smallest F2F person though! I don't think I'd want to go below 110 - but who knows? I find it always takes a while to adapt to each new level, and I am in no hurry.

@Terytha ! I hope you'll make it! Getting stuck at some airport is the pits. Usually the airline people are good at helping you figure out what you can do to make it to such an important event, though. Good luck! And if you are really stuck, I agree. Flip some birds and put your feet up. Hugs flying your way...

We made it. Actually we got moved to first class for the last little bit and I got a free mimosa, so that could have been worse. Mimosas are my favorite.

It's tough being around a lot of grieving people. The food is all comfort food like, cupcakes and crepes and stuff so I think I'm just gonna have to accept some weight gain.

Which, whatever. I'm here to support my family not be selfish.

Wow! It seemed like everyone's posts got way more intense over the last 24-48 hours! It was like reading a novel I couldn't put down!

@Terytha Welcome to the US! I'm glad you made it so you could support your family during this loss. And thanks for the info about NaNoWriMo.org. I'll check it out.

@jugar You frequently mentioned about the amazing amount of walking you did the other day in Montreal. Did you track your steps? The competitor in me would love to see your numbers if you did.

@Shexio Thanks for the info about online publishing with Kindle.

Not what I was hoping for I really wanted to see the 180's this week. On the positive side my scale did show a increase in Muscle weight and a decrease in body fat so even though the scale went up a pound overall my body responded the correct way, muscle up fat down.
