I would like to get us up to a million steps a week so anybody wanting to join would be great. Just type the date and number of steps on a posting here and I will log them in the tracker.
Those that normally submit that are missing November dates are;
@boehle 25th-30th Nov
@LaurieWrobo 24th & 27th Nov
@ngk2000 26th-30th Nov

December is a difficult time either peak summer or peak winter in many placese. Don't let the weather put you off your stride . It is a time to enjoy good company and good food & wine so mix it with some good workouts and come out smiling in the new year!
Congratulations @Luciicul on a fantastic achievement of getting into the healthy BMI range. Very, very impressive - hope to follow you there next year!

Laid out on the couch feeling sorry for myself so going to do this week's Sunday and Monday challenge to keep me on track!
Sunday: I found this group by chance having a look through the forums and was drawn to it because of the accountability it would bring. In the beginning I think i was also drawn to the idea of it helping me to lose a lot of weight, fast. But, that soon changed to a longer term goal, and even now, when I'm not on form or on track, having the group to check in on helps me stay accountable!
Getting to know you guys and share your in your stories is a real motivator, too!

Hello
I am Julie. CoCaptain to my bestie, @beka3695. We actually started this team sometime this yr lol
We were on Workout Warriors together.
I started at 237. I got down to 132 and now I am back to 170ish. I am NOT happy with it but life happens and I have had one crazy yr.
I bought the man and I calendars for 2020 so we can count each workout and then I will show a number for how many days I worked out that much. I have a thing for checking things off, so I hope this helps me to want to see I worked out a lot at the end of next yr.7 -
Well, this is interesting. My bathroom scale is either broke or just needs new batteries. I shall buy some batteries this week and find out.
Please just forward my same weight from last week. This is probably good as I have been eating a bit much since Thanksgiving.6 -
HELLO SHRINKERS!!!
I am Beka, one of your Team Captains and Group Moderator. My counterpart and bestie is @boehle.
I am 43, married and mom of 2 daughters and 3 fur babies. I will be a first time grandma AKA Mimi in February 2020!!! I live in the beautiful mountains of Northern Georgia. FEEL FREE TO READ MY POSTS WITH A SOUTHERN ACCENT.
I started my journey 2 years ago at 242 lbs, lost down to 174 and maintained almost 9 months before gaining back to 232 in July. I did a complete reset as of August 1… Cleared my +1000 day streak and started over. It has been VERY liberating!
My MOE is CICO. I cannot stick with anything else. Keto sounds good to me, but so does bread.
My Stats:
5'7' and 43
220 ish lbs
December Goals:
-Make it thru the Holidays non medicated...
-be more active on this thread.
-limit the "because it is Christmas" excuses.
-be GREEN for the month, even if only a little.
If you have not already, feel free to friend me.5 -
Long over due check in.....
HI TEAM! I hope everyone is well and motivated for December!!!!!
I had safe travels to see my daughter. I got to feel my grandson move. What a surreal feeling to feel the unborn child of YOUR CHILD! I cannot even explain! Hard to believe that in less than 3 months he will be here.
I totally indulged on Thanksgiving. No regrets!!! I have not weighed yet, but my jeans feel ok. I know I was on sodium overload. This seems to have dissipated - glad I didn't weigh while it was still around.
I am feeling motivated for December - LET'S MAKE IT A GREEN MONTH!!!!4 -
GOOD MORNING
TEAMS AND MEMBERS
I HAVE BEEN WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES EVEN MORE THAN THE OTHER MODS KNOW. I AM DEVELOPING NEW PROGRAMS TO INTRODUCE INTO THIS GROUP IN 2020. I WILL ROLL THEM OUT AS I SEE FIT AS NOT TO OVER WHELMED ANY ONE,OR TEAM. AS A PROGRAM SPECIALIST FOR A NATIONAL NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION I WORKED ON BRINGING NEW PROGRAMS TO MY BRANCH.
HENCE I CREATED A NUTRITION AND FITNESS PROGRAM FOR KIDS AGES 7-18. THAT IS IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM DOING NOW FOR THIS ENTIRE GROUP. ALL TEAMS ....ALL MEMBERS ...ALL AGE GROUPS... AND ALL ABILITIES NO ONE LEFT BEHIND NO ONE LEFT OUT... IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN IT NO WORRIES I AM BULLET PROOF.
I AM GEARING IT TOWARDS ALL PHYSICAL ABILITIES, I AM TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION ALL TYPES OF MEALS THAT EVERY ONE IS ON EVEN INCLUDING THOSE OF YOU ON MAINTENANCE. I AM GIVING IT MY BEST SHOT TO MAKE IT USER FRIENDLY.
I AM GOING TO CALL IT "FROM THE COACHES CORNER" I HAVE RECRUITED SUCCESSFULLY A CANADIAN PRO ATHLETE. COACH FRENCHIE COMPETES IN WEIGHT LIFTING AND OTHER VARIOUS THINGS SHE IS SPONSORED BY SOME MAJOR NATIONAL SPORTS COMPANIES. I HAVE ALSO RECRUITED SUCCESSFULLY A REGISTERED DIETICIAN. JESSICA KIM WORKS FOR ATI PHYSICAL THERAPY IN LAKEWOOD WA . SHE HAS BEEN MY NUTRITION COACH FROM THE GET GO OF MY OSTOMY SURGERY (5 YEARS). THEY BOTH ARE PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR CHOSEN FIELDS. I WILL ROUND IT OUT AS YOUR CHEF WITH NUTRITION TIDBITS AND EXCITING RECIPES. I ATTENDED THE CULINARY ARTS ACADEMY OF CALIFORNIA GRADUATING WITH A MASTERS CULINARY ART CERTIFICATION WITH THE MAIN FOCUS OF BEING A SEAFOOD AND SAVORY CHEF THEN I WAS INVITED TO ATTENDED THE SOUTH SEATTLE FRENCH BAKING/PASTRY ACADEMY AT SSCC AND GRADUATED FROM THERE AS A CERTIFIED PASTRY CHEF
I WILL WORK ON RECIPES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD THAT WILL FIT INTO YOUR MEAL PLAN WITH THE SIMPLEST OF WAYS FOR YOU TO MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU. I WOULD LIKE YOU SUGGEST CUISINES THAT YOU LOVE, BUT ARE AFRAID OF BE CAUSE OF CARBS,SUGAR, ALL TYPES OF FAT SO ON SO FORTH.
AND YOU SAY TO ME WE CAN GET ALL OF THAT ON THE INTERNET GREG, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS GOOGLE IT.... YES YOU CAN HOW EVER THIS IS GOING TO BE ON A PERSONAL LEVEL. YOU GET TO ASK US THE QUESTIONS THAT GOOGLE MAY GENERALIZE OR MAY NOT BE UP TO PAR ON IT. YOU GET TO REACH OUT TO 3 INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE DEDICATED THEIR CAREERS TO BE THE VERY BEST AT IT. THIS IS ABOUT YOU THE MEMBER NOT ABOUT WHAT GOOGLE CAN DO .
I AM IN THE FINAL STAGES OF THE PLANNING FOR THIS PROGRAM AND I WILL ROLL IT OUT IN 2020. SO STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THIS AND OTHER PROGRAMS THAT I AM CREATING AND WORKING ON.
GREG

Happy December to all members of Shrinking Assets!!!!!! I am happy to still be here. My goal for this month is to finish at no more than I am now. Christmas is the most indulgent time of the year for me, I will admit. I am just gonna try to lose what I can before the holidays so that Jan 1 I can re-start. It's the most realistic approach for me.
Best of luck to everyone this month! It goes by quickly every year with the holidays coming! I hope to get lots of exercise with all the extra shopping!
Have a fantastic December!

Week 1 group challenge
Tip Tuesday
Fitness Tip: Start slowly and build yourself up when starting a new fitness routine.
Nutrition tip: Log everything, the good, the bad the ugly. Also, if you want a treat buy a single size severing instead of a family size serving.4 -
Ended up binging tonight so I definitely logged the ugly! Doing that a little more often than I like.6

I was happy to have a loss this past week, given all of the pie and rich food. But also a little disappointed in myself, looking back at my lack of progress on my non-scale goals:
December Goals:
- Cardio 5 times a week (3 of 5)
- Strength 4 times a week (0 of 4)
- Water 96 oz (avg 80)
- Increase protein to 80 grams/day (avg 47)
- Meditation 3 times a week (0 of 3)
- Continue intermittent fasting at 8/16 (7 of 7)
Looking to turn this up and get ready for the holiday parties and other temptations coming our way!
Also, my work gym is being renovated for 6 weeks starting 12/15 and I am looking to get a spin bike for my home. If you have one, please let me know what you recommend!5 -
Hey all sorry missing in action, was in Florida from T-day to Dec. 3. Today is a rest day before I head back to work. Vacay was good, I was up 1.5 pounds, it is salt for sure. I am back on the treadmill starting today, pre-logging and drinking lots of water. Goal is to be same weight before vacation this Saturday. Then December back to a plan. Holidays are hard but I plan on enjoying in moderation with exercise cancelling out the calories.6
