I loved walking when it was snowy as long as there was little wind. The crispness is refreshing and invigorating. Can exert more energy without overheating.
It is nice to not sweat a ton! Most days are beautiful here!audreypawdrey wrote: »Today was a good exercise day! I went to yoga this morning and managed my first headstand! It was in my forearms, and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be! I am going to try to practice more than when I am at that class! I also walked 3 miles today. There was snow on the ground still, but most of the sidewalks were clear. There were some icy spots, and it is snowing again tomorrow!
Congratulations - that is quite a feat!
@dmfaler Thank you! It is a mini goal that I had!BonnieHosk85 wrote: »@audreypawdrey, cute walking buddy! 🐕looneycatblue wrote: »Beautiful photos! How did that person get onto the rock to fish???
It is a statue! Somehow the rod was bent this past summer. I don’t know if someone waded out there or it was the heat!3 -

130 was my goal but at 130 I wasn't where I wanted to be. So, I moved my goal to 125 but I still don't feel this is it. I'm not where I want to be fitness-wise or weight-wise. My lowest recorded weight was 102 lbs. which, in retrospect, was not a healthy weight for me. Looking at pictures of that time, I can see I was obviously not in a good head-space.
So, a teeny loss is great. I'm eating back nearly all of my exercise calories, my endurance and pace are improving and I am learning to like running in the cold. Next up - core strength and upper body need work.
I am thinking 125 will be my ultimate goal! Good job on getting there! Do you have any good core workouts?3 -

@shewhoismany. You sound like you are doing fantastic. As you approach or reach goals, you determine where you need to be.
When I originally got to 154.3 (70kg) at age 50, I worked out this was not my optimum so kept going. 70kg this was the weight I had been when competitively skating at 30. I though this was a low as I could go. I was wrong. It was only when I got there that I realised this.
After over a year under 140 (63.5kg), I worked out that this is best for me (strength, endurance, fitness, self-image). I'm still 5lbs North of that, but working to get there. I am not as fit as I would like (yet) and not as strong as I would like (yet).
In the end the weight is less issue than how you feel. If you are strong, healthy and confident and happy with you in your own body (and mind), then likely you are the right weight.
Strive to be who YOU want to be, not a weight, nor a size, nor an achievement.
Sounds like you are now in the right head-space. You got this.5 -
@fe452436, your week 4 weigh-in for November was 204.5 so you actually have a 1.5-pound loss this week.

Hi team,
sorry this is late in the day; we are having some struggles in my family (everyone is ok, I think the holidays are just...hard...) so I am a little off. Actually, I will be honest. I am off all around. I've been doing a lot of emotional eating (candy, sweets) and not exercising at all. The good news is...these things are changeable. I know I am in control of them and will feel better changing them. Love the support of this group. I always read, even if I dont't always comment.

@Keepingtrack1234. Can completely relate to this. Keep being there for your family, and we'll keep being here for you.
Remember to always treat yourself well. A little time off exercise will not hurt overall strength and fitness, just be kind to yourself and get back on track as soon as you feel you can.
Hope the struggles are resolved soon and you can get back on track as well as have a great festive season.2 -

Exercised?: Yes (5 km in 40 mins - hills)
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Better walking pace today. Made the sub 40min for the 5km fairly easily.
Also good fun drone racing today. Flew OK for the lack of recent practice. Only damage was props (expected) and a camera (cameras are more fragile than support poles when the 2 meet at speed ).
Running a drone race tomorrow for the club I am secretary of.2 -

Thanks, @craigo3154 . You are correct. Keeping the head screwed on right will help everything else work out in the long run.
I was signed up to run my first 5k today but at the last minute my 12 year old decided he wanted to go too. Ticking running a 5k off my fitness list took a back seat to being a supportive and encouraging mother. Ultimately, we walked most of it. However, he had a good time, not once did he complain about the cold, and, to my big surprise, he never wanted to quit or even stop to rest. He just kept plodding along at his own achingly slow pace (he must take after his father). So, today instead of reaching fitness goals, I was making memories.
He wants to practice more, so he can go faster, so we can do it again. He has tried in the past but his asthma has gotten in the way. This week, I'll talk to his doctor and see what we can do for him.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes.

Tired, but still made the sub 40min for the 5km although not easily. Walked after dinner although tired as not enough exercise setting up and packing up drone racing event.
Beautiful weather for drone racing today. Event went well. Equipment failures cost me more heats than usual (need to replace some cameras that go black mid-flight). What I did fly I enjoyed.2 -
Good Morning Y'all! I just love waking up early on Sundays, when the house is quiet and I can be along with my own thoughts for a while. Time to plan out the week, thinking of what we want to eat this week, looking up new recipes to get some inspiration. I found a Turkey Sausage & Zucchini Lasagna one that looks really good and healthy, will probable add some mushrooms too (we love mushrooms). Now to work on a grocery list.1
