    Dec 20:

Anyone else feel ready to just give up and try again in January? I’m kidding. But really. The busy and tired of this month does not make anything easy! Our trip to see family at Christmas got canceled. I’m disappointed, but also looking forward to relaxing at home instead of traveling.

My exercise has been a bit spotty, but still moving forward. I started my cycle yesterday and I can feel that I’m bloated and retaining water, so the scale was a pleasant surprise this morning. I’ll take it.

    Happy weekend everyone!

Goal: get back to maintenance between 69 and 70

    1. Keep on logging every day
    2. Keep up the push-up challenge (I finally started again, mostly thanks to the perseverance showed by @cayenne_007 !
    3. 10.000 steps a day + 2 long walks & 2 dives a week

Ok, so I got a nasty weight number this morning - gained 2 kilos in one week. No suprise there as I've been mindlessly stuffing myself with everything in sight. I even went back to a very old habit to purposefully go to a bakery to get my "fix", aka danish pastries. I didn't have danish in some years, and now the two last weeks I had one every other day + a load of other sweets. I also had seconds, and I've noticed that I just loved feeling "full". Needless to say I haven't been doing well and I need to snap out of it.
I find this the most difficult thing about maintaining. Losing weight is ok (no fun but doable), gaining is supereasy, but somehow maintaining is a balancing act that I don't master (yet?).
This weekend, we'll go to London to do our Christmas shopping with some friends. I'll do my utmost best to eat mindfully, and I hope that the next checkin here will be better.

Well, my mindfulness went out the window the minute I stepped on the train to London. 2,5 days of full English breakfast, churros, gluhwein and all kinds of street foods. Luckily, we walked more than 30.000 steps. That why I think my weight is also water weight from my sore muscles !

    1. I kept on logging
    2. Couldn't do pushups as I also had to move 1 ton of wood for our burning stove. My arms were really sore!
    3. 87.100 steps and 1 dive

Current weight: 71.8 - back to veggies and fruits this week !

Almost at the end of the year, and it seems as my energy levels are blinking in red. The weather isn't helping as last week we had some storms going on, keeping us indoors. Next week, I'll have three days off and that will be very much needed. As for now, I'm not giving up but the only reason is that hubbie is doing great and I don't want to sabotage him. I'm having a big Christmas lunch this week for work (the kind of lunch where you can't eat dinner anymore) and a dinner party on Friday. So, I'll just be happy to stay at this weight for the rest of the year, and then start again with fresh energy in January !

    1. I kept on logging (and in 2020 that won't be a goal anymore, as it really comes naturally to me now)
    2. I'll start the pushups in 2020
    3. Only one long walk - 58.000 steps and no dives as the weather didn't permit

    Current weight: 71.1

    Height: 176cm (5'9")
SW this month: 66.9kg (147,49lbs) - The highest I've been in months unfortunately, after a 2month stable 66kg weight

    MEASUREMENTS
    Stomach: 82cm (32,82")
    Waist: 75cm (29,53")
    Belly: 92cm (36,22")
Hips: 99cm (38,98") - the only thing I'm actually trying to grow isn't budging :p

    GOALS
#1 Get a grip. Been letting it slide a lot, usually when it's free (office treats, dinners). This has to be reigned in, NOW, especially with the free-food month of the year starting.
#2 Try to lose the kilo I gained (including the cm on waist, belly, and thighs)
#3 Do NOT let myself go during the holidays
#4 I've started a powerlifting program because I really want to become stronger. First goal to aim for is being able to do at least 1 actual pull-up (or chin-up if need be).

    WEIGH-INS (7-day averages)
    2 December: 66.9kg (147,49lbs)
    9 December - 66.7kg (147,05)
    16 December - 66.2kg (145,95lbs) BMI 21,4

Yay I finally feel I'm getting a grip again! I also must say that I think the dog really contributed to the weightloss this week; without a social life I had a lot more homecooked meals and a lot less wine. So hopefully I can keep it up by myself. Because, don't get me wrong, on no level do I regret that the doggo is gone 😆

I did have a heavy food-weekend: Saturday was my cousin's birthday party which I attended from 16h-23h so that meant one long stream of cakes, crackers, pizza, & wine. Sunday I worked in a kitchen to help out a friend and even though that also meant snacking on little samples all day long, I think the overall tally was fairly low + lots of walking and being on my feet probably helped.

    Last stretch for 2019!

Same boat here! Feel like sleepwalking. Can't wait for Saturday to pass when the days finally start to grow longer again instead of shorter.

I'm going to be strict this week before going on vacation! I'm going to "try" I.F. 8/16 fast.
But in my case, I am doing Breakfast and Lunch and skip Dinner. I'm always thinking about food during the day and have an appetite. But I can forget about dinner (Although I cook for everyone) as I am busy and not sitting around like I am at work!
I hope to see and feel a difference in a week! Happy Monday everyone! 16 more days of 2019✨✨💨

quick update on my IF from yesterday.
So I went home, made dinner for kids and took my son to his practice. I ran 3miles and did core exercise- felt good. I wasn't hungry. I had a protein drink and that was it! I think I can do this for a week. Will keep you posted :)

I know, but I don't mind the dark mornings so much, it's the evenings that get to me. And those are getting longer as of now. See the positive where I can I guess

@Antiopelle Thanks! I live in OH/CLE so the majority of the day is dark! I appreciate any light! I don't like it when it completely dark when getting out of work!

OK, so day 2 of skipping dinner went well.
Made kids dinner after I got home, got ready for OTF and off I went. It was endurance day which was H A R D... and the fire alarm went off there so it was a crazy night.
Afterwards, I made and had a cup of protein smoothie and that was it! Took a shower, watched a bit of tv and in the😴💤 land.
The best part of it? I am back down to 109.2! Don't feel bloated! Tonight is mammogram night. So no working out but sticking to my plan😘👌
