    @nbbaby - No worries about the hour! We are just glad to see you checking in. Hang in there, and keep up all the work you have been doing! The scale may tick up some weeks, but with your steady efforts, we know you'll get there! 👍🏽

    Thank you, that was so nice. The scale and I have been fighting for the past week, with 2 ozs up it seems daily. So I stopped fasting and am just still concentrating on my keto instead of both. I need to get back to drinking my water, been drinking diet pop instead of all water. I'm thinking that might be the culprit.
    Thanks for the leeway on the hour, I appreciate it.

    @leonadixon inflammation can definitely cause weight gain but it still sucks to see on the scale. I hope your doctor has some helpful news for you, good luck tomorrow.

    @vegan4lyfe2012 you got this, and your lunch sounds delicious!

    @sunshineplace I'm glad you're starting to feel better and can post! I can't imagine how hectic your days are! Nice loss!

    @Jactop great steps!

    @TeresaW1020 congratulations on the scale being down!

    @its_cleo good luck with your arm workout, I hope it goes well and doesn't increase any pain.

    @raleighgirl09 I hope your son is doing well and has a swift recovery.

    Calories- under
    Exercise- stair treadmill, weights, yoga
    Water- over

    Habits
    Weights 3xs a week- today was 2. Full disclosure- when at my parent's gym waiting on my dad I tried my arm routine with less weight and only 1 set each, flared up a little but icing helped.
    Cardio 30 minutes- done. That stair treadmill is going to kill me, I'm trying to go faster earlier into my warmup to beat my stairs climbed total and have barely increased flights to hit my goal but the extra increase is even more exhausting! I don't think I'll hit goal Saturday, hopefully soon!
    Core- on hold
    Yoga 3xs a week- today was day 3
    Decluttering- tossed 1 magazine
    Recipe- finally made the cassava! Spark people sauteed cassava, basically jalapenos, onion, garlic, and boiled cassava sauteed. That stupid thing is a lot of calories, thank goodness I used recipe builder as it was way more calories than the recipe said so I made it 4 servings instead of 2. It was pretty good, I'm glad I made it, but similar in texture with less calories would be an entire potato.

    For those of you wanting a Fitbit Sam's Club has them on sale right now, I ordered one today. Amazon had the Versa on its daily deal but not sure it was the same and less of a discount.

    My chest is doing better. Had something happen where I either babied it or helped someone in need and chose the latter and am doing ok tonight. Looks like I'll be able to start adding in stuff next week if this keeps up and may give Tiger Balm a break! BTW, I picked it up at Target so I'm sure any pharmacy would have it.

    First week down -- which is good. Next week is a travel week for work. Dinners out are always scary but I can do this....

    @mlhopp93 - 🎈 Brilliant weigh-in! Congratulations!
    As for eating out while travelling - you CAN do this! Plan as best you can, make the best choices you can, and be kind to yourself! However it goes, you are on a roll and you will get through that challenging week! 👐

    @KatMary - 👍🏽😊 I am SO glad your chest is doing better! Hurray for that Tiger Balm! (I love that stuff, too!)
    And also a hooray for that recipe adventure with cassava! I love me some Vegetable Adventures, and love hearing about yours!

    @nbbaby - 👐 Hang in there! 👐 Even if the scale is not currently cooperating, you are doing great work to improve your health -- eating carefully, observing results, watching and analyzing to see what's effective for you. Your care and commitment are SO inspiring!

    @prowell57 - Great Thursday check-in! Keep logging those great food days! 👍🏽

    @raleighgirl09 - 🎈Wow! 🌟 Great weigh-in! Congratulations on making those readjustments!
    A big hug and a salute to you for taking care of your fitness while also helping care for your son! I hope his recovery continues smoothly.
    I hope the allergies ease up soon!
    These words of yours to @prowell57 so speak to me!
    My most successful habits have been those I approached slowly and with patience (and grace, as needed).

    @Sunshineplace - 🎈🌟 Great weigh-in! Congratulations!

    @TeresaW1020 - Hurray for all your great work on health and fitness! Whatever today's number, I am super impressed.
    And that said -- I am SO pulling for you to be in the green this week!
    P.S. How is your pastor? And I apologize if there has been a recent update I am not thinking of. Anyway, I hope he is doing well, and all of you supporting him in his recovery are doing well!

    @Jactop- Great stepping! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

    @vegan4lyfe2012 - AWESOME job dusting yourself back off! THANKS for sharing that victory with us -- not quitting in that moment really was a victory! It's all day by day. Be kind to yourself!

    @leonadixon - Arg! I am so sorry about the uncooperative number and that pain in your side. 👐 Hang in there! 👐
    Keep doing what you can do, and be kind to yourself. Sometimes the journey to health isn't as speedy and linear as we would like, but you will get there. Your determination and energy and so SO impressive!

    @mrmcgrath - SO sorry about no gym, and SO inspired that you walked in place anyway! Way to own it and make it happen! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
    And thanks for reminding me to #FeelAlive! 😊😊😊

    Off to the gym soon! I'll be humming Staying Alive this morning, as my silly brain reminded me of it! It's a great weight-lifting song. Even my teenager confesses it's a good song.

    Friday Weigh In
    Week1

    This was a rough week for me as I was sick with a cold that started last weekend and I am just now starting to feel back to normal. Next week's weigh in will be much better. I will have my nutrition and exercising back to where it needs to be.

    Steps:

    2/1= 2,790

    2/2= 3,954

    2/3= 2,956

    2/4= 11,817

    2/5= 4,306

    2/6= 10,594

    My goal next week is to reach 10,000 steps every day.

    Official Weigh In

    196.3

    Up .2 from last week. Not sure if this still counts as “Green” since it is a slight margin but I don’t feel like it should be “Red”. Lol. Maybe a light greenish yellow????

    Good morning everyone. Happy Friday! Sorry I haven't been setting habits/goals for myself lately. It just gets so depressing when I can't meet them. I've been on a roller coaster with my smoking. Some days I do good and other days I fail miserably. There's so much stress going on in my life right now. My husband is battling depression because of his cancer, our finances are a mess with all the medical bills we owe, I've had to take over doing everything inside and outside the home...it gets tough! I feel so alone at times. I've been having trouble sleeping, I wake up several times a night and just lay there thinking about everything. I try not to but that seems easier said than done! Usually when that happens I go outside and smoke but lately I find myself in the kitchen snacking instead of smoking urg! On the bright side though I discovered a way that will hopefully help me with my water intake, flavored water inhancers. We buy bottled water cause our tap water sucks. Each bottle is 16.9 oz so all I need to do is just add the flavor inhancer to it. Now if I can just get my stress level down.
    Thanks for letting me vent and talk about things that's bothering me. I'm not looking for sympathy, just needed to vent a little.

    As I mentioned in my check in earlier this week, my son has been sick. We ended up in the ER Tuesday night and he has meningitis. We will be in the hospital a couple weeks and I won’t be able to weigh in. Will post again when I’m able.

    @wwood008 - You, your son and your family will be in our thoughts. Take care of yourself as best you can. I hope he recovers soon. 👐👐

    @davors19 - Great job holding steady! 👍🏽

    @prowell57 - Hang in there, and do the best you can at taking care of yourself. The changes that you are tackling are so big, and you have so much going on. I'll echo what someone else ( @raleighgirl09 ) said earlier -- make little baby steps changes, maybe just one at a time, and offer yourself as much kindness and grace as you'd offer a deal friend with this much on her plate. 👐👐

    @mrmcgrath -- Hurray for basically holding steady this week! I like your idea of calling this one a yellow light! 💡🚦

    @Kpaige428 - How great that you are on your way to feeling better! Take care of yourself this weekend! 👐👐

    @raleighgirl09, yes it does kind of feel like your drowning but now I like it! :D Glad you are feeling better and you are a good grandma to take care of the baby for your son and DIL.

    @prowell57, if you are interested in doing IF then starting 12/12 is perfect. That is how I started and then I slowly worked my way up to 17 to 19 hrs. I want to fast longer but at least I’m finally doing clean fasting which is huge for me to give up my precious creamer. I really recommend Gin Stephens's book, Delay, Don’t Deny. She also has FB groups, a blog and a podcast that is great! Here is a link if you want to check her out. http://intermittentfastingstories.com/ I am also so sorry that you and your husband are going through so much right now. Please feel free to vent anytime you need to. <3

    @Katmary71, glad you are feeling better! I’ve never tried Tiger Balm but just looked at their website and think I should pick some up. I would be curious to see if it would help that one little stop in my lower back that likes to hurt all the time. :/

    @mlhopp93, welcome to the Team and congrats on the weight loss. Please feel free to post often or whenever you can. We are a chatty bunch of people and all are welcomed to join in! :)

    @AustinRuadhain, thanks for your support! <3 I wanted to be in the green too and I’m super happy I got there. Thank you also for asking after my pastor. He is doing well except he still has an issue with his vision, and it makes it very difficult for him to read. He was going to a specialist today so hopefully, he will start improving. He is hates being limited in his abilities and we really do need him back to his old self. HaHa!! I just listened to Staying Alive. I’m such a huge fan of the Bee Gees fan. Thanks for that moment of joy!! :D

    @Kpaige428, so sorry that you have been sick and I know that the scale wasn’t what you wanted but it wasn’t up much and you will get that off in no time. Take care of yourself! <3

    @mrmcgrath, heck yeah that shouldn’t be red!! A nice shade of pale green is all it is. :D

    @wwood008, ohhh so sorry to hear about your son! Take care of him and yourself and weigh in when you can. :)

    2/7 Accountability (Habit Tracker)
    Track Every Bite-Yes, I tracked it all and I was right at my calorie limit but wayyyyy over on my carbs. But that is OK! Sometimes a girl needs a big plate of brown rice and veggies! :p
    NO gain on the scale-I lost a pound this week so I was very happy to be in the GREEN!!
    Workout and steps-I did a 60 min. 80 Day Obsession AAA (Arms, Abs, and A** 😉) It’s a killer!! When I first started BOD I couldn’t do a weighted sit-up and go all the way down on my back and then back up again, but today I did 3 sets of 10 weighted sit-ups holding a 12 lb. weight and going all the way to the floor and then back up. Major progress for me!! Still working on those stupid push-ups!
    Steps for 2/6-6336
    IF (17+ hrs)-18 hrs. 17 min.
    Thoughts for the day-I was looking back over the weight tracker that I keep for F2F in Excel and saw how close I had come to Onderland back in October. And then the holidays came, and I quit doing Keto and up went the scale. I can gain weight just thinking about food! I want to reach my goals but I am not going back to Keto because I feel so much better with just watching my calories and eating whole food. I’ve done 78 Beach Body workouts since the end of September and I know that weight-bearing exercises can make it harder to lose weight in the beginning. Hubby tells me all the time that he can see my body changing and firming up so I’m just going to be patient and believe that with hard work and determination I will see Onderland one day soon! :)

    I started lifting weights this week. Monday, Wednesday and this morning just to get it out the way as not to do it tonight. Not heavy. Today my carb cravings were out the roof. I was wondering if the weight lifting has to do with it. I dont plan on stopping just need to get it under control. Today was over the top with Noodles & Company for lunch and Pho for dinner.

    @wwood008 your son and family are in my thoughts.

    @TeresaW1020 good job on your loss this week! Wow you're killing it with the workouts, I get out of breath and feel the pain just reading about it 😉. You've got this 👍🏼 Thank you for the link to Gin Stephen, I'll definitely check her out!

    @wrknonmedaily oohhh I love Pho. My husband and I enjoy stopping at this little restaurant we discovered. They have the best Pho!
    Lifting weights could be the reason for carb cravings, it takes a lot of energy to lift. Most weight lifters I know eat high carbs on their lifting days.

    @sunshineplace hi. I worked at a daycare for a while, it is extremely demanding at times but so rewarding at the same time. I was in charge of the 2-3 year olds. It was so fun watching them grow and discover things.

    @mlhopp93 Welcome to the group! Great week!

    @AustinRuadhain great job achieving and planning goals! LOL about Staying Alive, I still associate that song with strutting over the town bridge imitating John Travolta after making sure no cars were around! Hope you had a great workout!

    @TeresaW1020 a solid pound down!

    @Kpaige428 I'm glad you're starting to feel better. When sick it's tough to eat right, I hope this week is better for you.

    @prowell57 I'm sorry you're dealing with so much right now. Definitely try to congratulate yourself for all you ARE doing, it sounds like you're a lot stronger than you're giving yourself credit for. What kind of water enhancers did you find? Good luck on your goals tomorrow!

    @davors19 good job maintaining!

    @wwood008 prayers for your son and his recovery.

    @TeresaW1020 Your workouts sound pretty hardcore, I know it's common to retain doing new workouts. Those situps sound awesome, you'll have Abs of Steel in no time!

    @wrknonmedaily How do you like weights so far? I wish I'd started earlier than I did! Some exercise makes me hungrier, ever since I started the stair treadmill I drool over the waffle restaurant wanting a strawberry waffle and I normally don't even notice it. Luckily I leave my wallet at home! Pho for dinner sounds awesome!

    Friday
    Calories- under
    Exercise- recumbent bike, back yoga
    Water- over

    Habits
    Weights 3xs a week- technically did but tomorrow is legs day 3
    Cardio 30 minutes a day- done
    Core- on hold
    Yoga 3xs a week- today was 4, the back yoga workout has all my physical therapy stretches plus additional good ones so I'm doing it often.
    Decluttering- over-achieved today, yesterday was garbage pickup and the can is full and recycling is almost full. Little discouraged as I feel like I'll be working on this forever though I'm trying to just focus on one box or space at a time.
    Recipe- did cassava saute

    My brother's repairing my street bike for me, I haven't used it in over 15 years if not more. My Fitbit should be here Tuesday! Discovered when cleaning my old rings fit again, yay!

    Guys, I think I need to drop out. My life is so stressful right now that I'm barely putting one foot in front of the other. I just can't keep up. I'm wishing you all the best on your fitness journeys. Maybe I'll ask to join again if I ever feel like I can do it without letting all of you and myself down.

    Want to check in but kind of in a down mood.

    Exercises- I'm on track for this week. Two to go today- a run and an upper body workout. It's cold here, like -13c but I'm going to try to go out anyway. I also don't feel very energetic but I will give it a shot. I don't mind the cold but one year my phone wouldn't work in -10, so if my phone dies and I have no music I don't like to run. I have a new phone so here's hoping it will be ok.

    Calories- I set a new goal for myself a couple weeks ago and really struggling to meet it this week. Depending what I eat today I will just barely squeak by.

    But I checked my weight today and it was up by 2 lbs which really discouraged me though it may just be water or something I don't know. My official weigh in day is tomorrow. But it was hard to see that and not just throw in the towel with the calories. But I have three good meals planned for today so I just need to stick to it- chicken wrap for lunch and/or a chickpea soup if I get it together to make the soup in time. Dinner is roast beef.

    Or I might do something totally different and go out and do a bit of shopping to pick me up because my mood is low.

    Also I have a crappy meeting on Monday to look forward to. Lol- see I'm just grumpy today.

    @mrmcgrath makes sense to me. What about lime green?

    @Kpaige428 yeah a cold can knock you back, but you're right once you recover you can get back to where you were pretty quickly.

    @AustinRuadhain Staying Alive is a great song! For working out or running I also like the Rocky theme, I Need a Hero, Eye if the Tiger. 80s were the best.

    @TeresaW1020 congrats on the loss.

    @mlhopp93 welcome!

    @Katmary71 glad you're doing a little better. I've had cassava but only on vacation. Sounds like an interesting recipe.

    @bethanie0825 Way to go on surviving the run! Your steps are amazing, I'm scared to see how small mine will be!

    @kayla7303 hang in there! It sucks to see the scale go up but you'll get it back down!

    @rachelleahsmom shoot, I hate seeing you leave! Do what's best for you, I hope you're back soon!

    @its_cleo I'm so sorry you're struggling right now! I admire your dedication to working out, does it help at all? Props for working out in the cold, I'm cold all winter and it's 40-60 degrees! I'm the same way without music, when my WiFi drops I last 5 minutes if I'm lucky. Hang in there with the scale, I know it's discouraging especially when working hard. Chickpea soup sounds awesome! I'm not an experienced cook but accomplishing making a meal always makes me feel good. I hope your day looks up, be extra kind to yourself today.
