Happy Saturday...I'm out on hike.
I love the name of this trail...Lost Dog Wash Trail in Phoenix, Arizona
I'll look for the dog while I'm out there...

Beautiful photo @RangerRickL hope you had a great day!
Today was a yes x3 which is a massive personal victory as I had mentioned yesterday that I have my "feeder" mother in law in town. Thanks so much to @Hollis100 and @LoriAnna62 for your support. She kindly brought 3 bottles of wine with her to our house (which remain unopened as 2 were consumed by the group at lunch anyway) and really kindly brought a box of chocolates (which remains untouched as once opened she declined one). I'd agreed to go out for lunch. There was a bit of sulking when I said I wouldn't share garlic bread as a side. It's a gorgeous family run Italian. She nearly always chooses it yet always makes a fuss about something. Today apparently her main meal was too salty so she left half. I wonder whether actually she just only wanted half as she's always watching her weight. Mine was delicious and with minimal eating the rest of the day left me within my allowance and I declined a dessert. The baby was fed up by this point so I was able to take him out for a walk leaving my husband, daughter and father in law with the pressure on them to have a pudding - not that my daughter needed any convincing! Anyway, rant over but I'm pleased with my choices today and it's given me the strength and confidence that I can do it again tomorrow. And taught me the lesson that Ill try to avoid turning crazy myself on this journey by force feeding others what I don't eat myself and I won't make a scene in restaurants when I don't want to eat all of my plate.12 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Yes ! Did 35 minutes of full body strength training, 10 mintlutes of abs and 15 minutes of kickboxing cardio workout !
Though I did NOT stay within my calorie budget for the day and did NOT keep track of everything I ate and drank.
Planned which days I'd pass this month. Today's a pass day !
Pass days left : 2/38 -

Planned-ahead Intentional Pass days are a terrific strategy.3 -
March 5th & 6th will both have to be pass days - didn't log, exercise or stay within calorie budget either day (work stress).
Today was better with yes's to all 3 .9 -

@RangerRickL, the desert is beautiful this time of year! Hope the hike was awesome.
@am_change, it sounds like you handled the MIL situation just fine. Keep up the good work. I have a lot of trouble understanding other women, or anyone for that matter, who want to undermine our efforts! I have to think there's some jealousy and a bit of a "center of attention" syndrome going on with her.

Checking out a little early tonight as I'm tired and dinner is in the works. I very rarely eat after dinner..............more of a morning eater here so I'm sure the diary will stand.
Exercise: Yes, walked, hip PT and strength training to the tune of about 60 minutes
Calories: Yes, easily 200+ under goal
Tracked: Yes, even with a turkey burger for dinner...............with bun!
Hope you all have a great Sunday and please stay healthy and wash your hands...........a lot!

@am_change Glad to read about your success! It can be a battle to perserve good relationships and stand up for ourselves. You've helped me, too. I won't see my feeder friend for about a week -- she's busy with family -- but will face her in the future with a better battle plan.
@RangerRickL stunning photo! Thank you for sharing such beautiful nature photos with us.7 -

Tracking: Yes
Calories: under
Exercise: Yes, just a walk. Still tired.
Flying tomorrow. It will be good to get back to warmer weather. If someone could please explain to me why we feel the need to bring so many snacks on a four hour flight as though we might starve mid flight, I would truly appreciate the insight.
Pass days to date - 2
I have been reading the posts about feeder friends, and mother-in-laws (whole other dimension added there!). I have always been a female people pleaser. Which is really weird because in my professional life I am effectively intimidating and somewhat scary. The opposition tends to hire me for future needs. Not so in my personal life. I have always been the last one to stand up for myself. If someone gives me a compliment, I point out one of my many flaws. I need to learn to accept compliments without shame. I have found that my heavy friends want to eat. I’m their eating buddy. My alcohol friends want to drink. I’m their drinking buddy. As long as I fulfilled my role, everything was great. They were all quite angry with me and hurt when I up and changed the rules. So I look at it more that I threw them a curveball rather than their not accepting and respecting my needs. My bad. I would give them time to adjust. Unfortunately, few do and I was replaced. We had very little in common after my decision to change. I have accepted that this happens. I seek out like minded people now and am assuming my old friends have done the same. As for mother-in-laws — she created and raised someone you love so try really, really hard not to kick her in the shins - no matter how much you may want to and no matter how much your jaw hurts from the fake smile frozen on your face.6 -
Yes x 3.
Walked over an hour, moved a vanity, medicine chest and ceiling fan from the truck to inside, took down the dining room chandelier and helped install the ceiling fan. Finished dinner late, so no VR for me.
Ate light throughout the day so I could have seconds of the delicious roast my sweetie made. Lots of fruits and veggies today, and still came well under.
Logged everything.
Painting the bathroom tomorrow. 🥵7
