Welcome Fat2Fit Challengers

Here is your Team chat room for April 2020. This is where you weigh in every week, post your goals and progress, discuss any issues or topics of interest, share ideas, support your teammates, receive help when you need it, and dream big. Try to post every day, and help each other succeed!

We have six great teams. The group and team leaders are as follows:
Our Moderators:
Liselyn - @jugar
Beka - @beka3695
Lisa - @cafelelia
Teresa - @TeresaW1020

Our Team Captains:
Mission Slimpossible - @broncobuddee and @TeresaW1020
Trimstones - @mulecanter and @jessicakrall8
Weight No More - @sleepymom5 and @cafelelia
Waist Aways - @jugar and @micki48
Shrinking Assets - @Boehle and @beka3695
Downsizers - @lindamtuck2018 and @mari_moulin

Our Team Motivators:
Mission Slimpossible - @AustinRuadhain @katmary71 and @raleighgirl09
Trimstones - @Angmarie28
Weight No More - open
Waist Aways - @Terytha and @conleywoods
Shrinking Assets - @TheMrWobbly (Fitness Captain)
Downsizers - @UTMom81 and @Kres567

HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, every week without fail! At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!

We also track those small, steady losses with the Green Week count. If you lose, however small an amount, it counts for 1 week in the green. The total will be by month, and cumulative - so you can really rack them up and get to your goal even if you never hit the top of the leader board.

If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captain here on your team chat page. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off.

In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love!! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin.

THANKS!

Hi all! I am Linda and I am the one of the team captains. @mari_moulin is the other captain. She is amazing. We have two awesome motivators @Kres567 and @UTMom81.

I am 55, married, mother of 3 and have three beautiful granddaughters. I also have 3 fur babies. You will probably hear me mention my granddaughters a few times during the month. I live in Southwestern Ontario.

I started my journey in February of 2019. I have lost 55 pounds so far and I owe a lot of my success to this group. The accountability and support from teammates is awesome.

    My goals for April
    1. Lose 4 pounds
    2. Walk 8000 steps Monday to Friday
    4. Walk minimum 30 minutes a day
    5. Drink 8 cups of water a day

Look forward to reading your introductions and goals for the month.

Very surprised as my diet wasn't good this week. It's hard eating healthy when in lockdown. I'll try my best this week.

This new reality is making it tough on weight loss. I am glad you had a loss. Pop on in here if you need any support.

Good morning all! Being stuck in my house all the time is really making my body do weird stuff. I moved so much more when I went into work. I am still weighing myself at the same time in the morning with the same clothes and from day to day will see a 3-6 lb difference on the scale. I don't know if it's stress or just routine change or what but this is driving me nuts. Maybe I'm not getting enough water. I am so frustrated! I need to really cut down on salt and heavy carbs, I think. I do have my home gym downstairs so I need to be working out consistently and I'm not doing that right now. I also think I am going to have to be super diligent about tracking.

The scale can be very frustrating. I find making sure I get lots of water helps me. If I have too much sodium I see a big jump on the scale.

HABIT TRACKER! Did you know that we have our own habit tracker that is here for you to use? It’s on the main group page, under the announcements called the F2F Habit Tracker-April 2020. Habit tracking works because it gives you a visual representation of your progress. You get to see all the times you’ve done the habit lined up as an unbroken chain. Once you can see your progress, you’re much less likely to skip the habit.
Just click the link and follow the easy instructions and start tracking your habits today! Habit Tracker

    TIP:
I like to bookmark my team's page at the beginning of every month for easier access. Happy Tracking!! ;)

Hello again, everyone! I was quite busy yesterday, and I want to give a proper introduction here when I'm not so rushed.

I am a 30 year old female. Have struggled with my weight throughout my life. I've been 90 pounds heavier than I am now, and had a VSG at my top weight. I never want to get up there again.

I tend to be an emotional eater. I thought for a while that I had gotten over those tendencies, but with our country turning upside down over the last couple weeks, I am realizing that I have to be very intentional about how much food I consume and likely even more intentional about how much I don't consume! Suffice it to say, the emotional eating continues.

Hubby and I are dealing with infertility. We'd very much like to have a family. He has Crohn's Disease and loses weight without needing to, (even while trying desperately to gain!) I have endometriosis and hypothyroidism and some adrenal issues and other hormonal imbalances, which I am working with my Doctor on getting leveled out. I think we're getting close to the sweet spot, because I am starting to have a lot more energy and motivation, which is super exciting! It also allows me to put more effort into my health and fitness.

I have done a similar challenge with friends over the past year. I really loved the structure and support, which definitely seems to be something I need to be successful. However, most of those friends have lost enthusiasm. I was so delighted to find this group. Looks like it will fit my need quite well.

I'm 5'6", and my weight seems to have leveled off in the 186-188 range for the last month or so. I would like to get the trend going down again. And I know I need to put more effort into it. I don't have an ultimate goal. Right now my goal is just lower. I'm hoping I will recognize it when I get there. I feel like in the past I have set my goals at unrealistic lows for my frame, and got discouraged that I could never attain that number. I'd love some input from any of you decided your own goal weight.

Thanks for reading! Now you know that I love to talk, too!
