Are we supposed to be posting our steps every day? Is so, today I ended with 10,295.1

@Mrsbell8well thanks for sharing your story, it is inspiring.
Haven’t been good at tracking my food or water but I’ve been motivated to walk everyday and I’m getting my steps in. I’m trying to work on my sleep. I wake up every two hours. Right before this stay at home started I finally had gotten into a good sleep routine. And I truly believe the lack of sleep is hurting my weight. I had a tele doctor appt today and I’m trying to get back into some sort of routine sleeping, exercising and eating. It was motivating.3 -

Hairy moment midway through when a Chinese takeaway caused me to gain over 5 lbs - but that went in 2 days, and then I lost a little more :-) Been skirting around the 190lb mark for a while now, but I think this is the first official Wednesday weigh in when I have been under it.7 -

Check in for yesterday:
Had to postpone my lower body Workout bc I got bad sleep and was extremely tired plus my calves still hurt from Saturday.
Got some stretching and abs workout instead at night after kids fell asleep and was able to hit 6k steps again.
Food: good, avoided junk temptation:)
It’s just hard to process the fact I’m “fat”
Again. I worked hard last year to lose pounds and was so happy with myself - now I’m back where I was.
I know it takes time and consistently good food choices and being active to get back to it and I know I’ll get there again - so I def need to work on being patient.
@Mrsbell8well Nice loss! And your food from yesterday looks delicious, just like i remember from last year oh and cute shoes!
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx yes I was def in shock! as my first labor lasted around 14hours lol and I had an epidural so it was very relaxing
This time not so much lol I literally was laying there thinking well there’s something wrong with me and I’ll die but I was praying in mind that baby will be okay Bc I ain’t gonna make it for sure. I guess that’s how natural birth is supposed to feel lol
But I have to say my recovery was really good. I felt so much better mentally and physically this time around so that’s good Just lacking the sleep

This week I am determined to practice intuitive/mindful eating along with my IF. I have all kinds of food goodies packed for my eating options today. I started my morning with a very small cup of acai juice. For breakfast I thought about my options and what sounded best. I chose a rice cake with sunflower butter and chai rooibos tea. Normally I would have 2 rice cakes. I am really eager to pay attention to my fullness level. So 3/4 done with rice cake I stopped. I thought about it but definitely thought I could be done. I set it aside for a few minutes. Mistake number 1...it was still in my line of vision. I ate it. Sooooo going forward if I think I am done I will wrap it up and put it away. Wait and go eat it if I still want it. If not leave it until I am hungry again. This can be a big game changer for me. portions have always been an issue. If I serve it I eat it. Has never had anything to do with hunger.
But I am a new me and ready for success!1 -
Steps yesterday:5138
Food was still over my WW points but much better than last several months
Water was also much better2 -
Tuesday check in
Food- on plan
Water - 2l
Exercise - 90 minute walk, 11,518 steps
Yesterday was another good day. I am weaning myself off of all of the snacking this week. When I was sick, it was hard to eat regular meals and I could only snack. So it is time to get back on my regular schedule. It has been so sunny, we have been taking daily hikes outside with our younger son. I managed to give my husband a haircut with clippers on Monday with was a huge success. My husband cut our younger son’s hair and I hope to do my older boy’s this afternoon. We have had a few distanced visits with neighbours lately with the nicer weather, and it feels so good to socialize a bit (outside of Zoom).
@jedachultz - Glad that your food and water are much better!
@Mrsbell8well - Nice loss, congratulations! I loved the photos of your food & shoes!
@lenka1 - I know it is frustrating to regain weight, but you had a beautiful, healthy baby as a result. You are doing great and the weight will come off again. I totally remember the sleep deprivation still and for me, it was the hardest part about having a baby. You are in the midst of it, but this too shall pass!
@freeglerock - Nice loss and congratulations on the new weight decade! I knew that the Chinese take away was the culprit. I looked back at the January spreadsheet and you started at a little over 200 lbs, so you are doing great!
@JillyBT - I think it is a great idea to look at your sleep and speak to your doctor about it. There is that phenomenon of “quarantine” sleep with many people having weird dreams, waking more and just not sleeping well.
@kenzierenzieroo - The step challenge is optional. If you want to participate, you can post your steps daily, or you can post all of your daily step tallies in one post at the end of each week. The challenge runs Sunday to Saturday so you can post your steps the following Sunday morning.
@hope002 - You have done so well with your IF approach!! With our many new and returning members, if you have the time, can you explain a bit about it in terms of how many calories you eat in a day? Thanks!
@bburrer30 - Such a lovely place to hike! Great day yesterday!
@tryingagain5 - You have such nice neighbours!
@sleepymom5 - You are doing great! Shopping is so exhausting (even with my delivery service). Shopping went from being one of my most favorite activities to my least favorite!

Yesterday:
Good on food - had more than my 1 allotted margarita. Oh well.
Today got up and went for a 2 mile jog around the neighborhood. Drinking lots of water.
Gonna venture out to Hobby Lobby to get yarn so I can finally finish my son's blanket.

So far this week, I have gotten all the yard work done, went on a walk every day except today and colored my own hair ( my hairdresser is not going back til june). Hopefully she is not too mad, I used professional color and not box stuff from the supermarket so she shouldn't be too mad. I am hoping they come measure for my new pool liner soon, the pool company is getting on my nerves. I haven't paid them yet, I told my husband I may go somewhere else. I also went food shopping and bought more fruits and veggies hoping to eat them this time and not let them go to waste.3

Tuesday check in
Food- on plan
Water - 64 oz
Exercise - 50 min walk, PT, stretching and strength.
Another good day! I feel like I am back in the swing of things finally. The mornings don't always go as planned, that is why the past few days I have been checking in late afternoon. I just have to adapt as I go along. This won't be forever. Sorry I have to run. I just wanted to check in quick.
@tryingagain5 Nice day Tuesday. You really do have the best neighbors. I have a feeling you are a pretty good neighbor too!
@bburrer30 Looks like you had a good Tuesday too! 36oz is great especially considering you aren't much of a liquid drinker to begin with! Maybe this is a good number to aim for until you get used to it and then increase from there. It is awesome that you not only get out to exercise but you involve the kids too. Lead by example. Pretty picture too. You must have some beautiful scenery during your hikes.
@hope002 Thank you for the information. I actually sent you a message too. I am a pain Lol!
@kenzierenzieroo @brown6267 Nice stepping!
@JillyBT Sleep can absolutely have an effect on your weight loss. I know that you had a sleep routine that you were getting into. I am not sure if you got away from that or if you are just having trouble sleeping. If you got away from it, maybe you can ease back into doing the things you were doing to get back into it. I am glad you have been successful with walking and getting your steps in. Now work on the sleep. When you are ready add in the water and food. Baby steps add up. Also be kind to yourself, you have had a rough time with all that is going on with your parents. Plus you had to get your son home... This is a crazy time and you are doing great. xoxo
@Freeglerock Whoo hoo! Good bye 190's!! Look at that loss girl! You have had a great week! Yes, that Chinese food has a lot of sodium so I am not surprised that weight came right off plus some! Keep up the good work!
@Mrsbell8well Nice loss there!! Even though you ate the rest of the rice cake, you learned from it. Next time you can put it away and see if you are hungry enough to finish it. You may be hungry and have it. It is all a learning process.
@lenka1 I wouldn't say you are fat...I am trying to think of a way of putting it...yes you are not where you would like to be but you just gave birth. You are still nursing and your body is still healing. Your body just created a beautiful little girl. That isn't easy work. You are already getting back to your healthy lifestyle and exercising but it is going to be a little while before you are going to be doing the kick butt workouts you were used to. I know that you want to be there now but be patient, you will get there. I think you are being smart with your goals and listening to your body. I also think it is normal with wanting to be back where you were before you got pregnant. You are a busy Mama, be sure to be kind to and make time for yourself. xoxo
@jedaschultz You are off to a great start to May! It is important to start where you are at. You will get back into your WW points. Even though you went over, you are closer than you have been. Give yourself a pat on the back and keep it going. You will be back in your WW points before you know it! Great job with the water too!
@Cafelelia Nice day yesterday and look at that water! Good job!! Isn't it funny how quickly we can fall into old habits. I know that eating smaller snacks rather than meals is better when you are sick. I know for me at least I start grabbing for things when I am feeling better plus my meals. Good job weaning it off and getting back to your normal eating routine. Sounds like you are making the most of this nice weather. The exercise and the social interactions are so important during these times to help us stay sane and healthy. xoxo
@GingerPwr That is why I allotted for 2 margaritas yesterday Love the quote, so true!
@tryingagain5 Nice loss this week!
@annliz23 Wow! You are kicking butt today!!
@ljdanny What a productive week you have had! Did you do anything fun with your hair color this time? I am sure the hairdresser will be happy you went with professional color at least. I am anxious to get the pool open here too. It looks so much nicer outside when the pool is open and not covered up. Do you plan your meals each day or do you just figure it out as you go along? Maybe if you plan the fruit/veggies into your menu you will have a better chance at eating them. I have to admit, I am not the best with getting the fruit and vegetables in that I should be.5 -

I feel like I have been so out of touch for most of this quarantine. How are you all doing? I know some people have really taken off and are doing well. I know others have not done well but are recommitting to their goals for May. I know there are also others who aren't doing well during this difficult time. Feel free to share what you are going through. If there is something that really clicked and is working for you, tell us about it. If you need help or want some advice, don't be afraid to ask. Many of you already do this, please continue. That is what is so nice about having this team. I learn so much from all of you. However, for those of you who hold back, please feel free to jump in and ask anything or vent if you need to. We want to be a source of support for you all. Hang in there everyone, we will get through this.

Checking in! (For last few days)
Food: Have been on plan since Sunday
Water: not great, but am getting better at having a water bottle nearby
Exercise: yesterday was a rest day other than a walk with the kids.
Starting to feel a little less motivated to exercise. I have been doing some workouts in the evenings, but last few times I have either decided I could not be bothered, or begrudgingly done it but really wanted to just sit on the sofa! I keep thinking that I'd prefer to do it in the morning, but kids generally wake up before my alarm and they like to hang out in my bed until getting up time (used to be a weekend treat, and now with lockdown it has become a bit of a habit). Though, really that is probably just an excuse. I am not a morning person - have always been someone to roll out of bed at the last possible minute, but in my heart I know I would lo e to change that an be someone top skip and jumping out of bed at an early time getting stuff done before the day hits. Unfortunately, although the 10pm me thinks that way, the 6/7am me just wants to stay in bed (preferably sleeping longer!).
Out of curiosity - when do you all exercise? What time works best for you getting it into your routine?
Headed to the allotment this evening to water, and now seeing the first fruits appear on the strawberries, raspberries, tayberries and loganberries. This makes me happy!
Looks as if there is little risk now of a late frost, so this weekend will be a busy one finishing prepping the ground to get everything planted out asap!5
