I thought that after we set up all the Q&A lines in GA, I would be done for a while, but then they just sent me to neighboring states to help with the rural com lines. I am at a tiny cabin, in Pierre Part, LA (the middle of the bayou) I have limited satellite access and no air conditioning....also, I had to climb out of the back window because there was a huge gator just chilling on the front porch this morning. I always thought the movies were a little over exaggerated, but no, no, I expect to hear banjo music at any minute. Just kidding (the folks here are really nice...at least the 1/3 of them I can understand). I am really trying to keep up with at least the numbers here, but if anyone wants to be captain or co-captain for a while it would be really appreciated. I can't weigh this month because I have no access to scales right now. I'll try to upload a picture or two when I get to an actual place on the map. I am loving it though!

You are brave going outside at all with a big old gator lounging on your porch! I work two jobs, so I already know I can't take on any more responsibilities as far as co-captain goes. How long will you be in the cabin?

I'd be willing to help out as co-captain. Just let me know what you would need help with.

Well, apparently I am a city slicker. The gator's name is Roy and he has been chilling on that porch every morning for the past 15yrs. The guy who owns the cabin just pushed Roy to the side and opened the door....yep...not me...no thanks! I can deal with snakes, spiders, and crawlies (not mosquitoes) but a big NOPE to pushing a gator out of my way. 1 more day here and then I go down to Morgan City (also in the bayou)

@lorianncorrea Thank you so much! Most of it is just reading the daily post and trying to keep people motivated and talking about their goals. I'm pretty much keeping up with the weights, but I will get Ashley or Craig to send you an invite to a working spreadsheet so that you can enter numbers too if I'm not here.

@lorianncorrea Ashley would like your email (gmail is best if you have one) for access to a working spreadsheet. Her screen name is @AB0215 (that is a zero, not an o{scar}) There is also a place for captains to ask questions/chat: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/comment/44977476#Comment_44977476

I came off a high last week and I’m pretty upset with this. There were a few events that kept me from going on MFP and next week I’m working on correcting this by losing two pounds :)

Me: Okay, fat. I am going to track you down, kick your *kitten* and you are going down. I don't want to see your pal 300+ around this neighborhood by the end of the month, understood? This body isn't big enough for both of us.

    Fat: >:)

Me: You heard me. I know you're stubborn, but I'm getting rid of you and your pal 300+ and I plan to do it by the end of the month!

    Fat: :o:/:|

@TypingToaster it does feel like it takes forever. I started at 315 and then lost down to 215 in one year, but then had to gain some back because of all the problems that caused (hair loss, parchment skin, overdeveloped/underdeveloped muscles pulling bones apart, hormonal issues, etc.) Now that I have been given the go ahead by a doctor to lose it again, it seems so hard! Hang in there! Kick that kitten!!! Meow! Be nice to real kittens! :p<3

I fell off for a few days as I had a long road trip back home and a couple of fast food pit stops 🤭, and emotional eating beforehand 🙄 But today I had a nice chicken wrap and then took a 1 and a half hour walk, up hills. It was good to get my heart racing AND some sun during a time where I haven’t seen much of either. I’m looking to make this a habit to help improve our overall weight loss score! Congrats to our top three :) Keep pushing everyone! I’m really hoping the scale shows that I have lost three pounds. Fingers crossed !

@victorious55 I'm still around some. I had to step out of the weigh in this month because I don't have access to a scale. I am in rural LA right now setting up com lines for the 911 systems with the new covid response. I have very limited access to internet and wireless phone service. I expect to get to go back home by mid June. @lorianncorrea is helping out as a co-captain, but yes, this is a very quiet group right now and it is partially my fault for not being here to keep people engaged. I'm very sorry. I hope you're doing well through all this too!

OMG, it is not your fault. I also know that @lorianncorrea is helping out as a co-captain. It is not @lorianncorrea fault also.

I was just feeling a bit sad that not many people are posting. And wondering what is happening to everyone. :)

What can I do to help or motivate others?

I was thinking that people have been struggling with the lock downs. Even looking at the monthly grid we have a very small group participating this month.

I haven't been making much progress lately, according to my scale app I'm only down about 1lb in the last 2 months. On the other hand I'm still logging all my food, I'm exercising regularly, and I'm doing a great job maintaining my loss so far  . I'm happy with that for now!

This lock down isn't easy, I hope everybody is doing well!
