@Meghan509 I am glad you realized it is a new month, because it snuck up on me!
I am just chugging along with my chubby self. I am doing a longer/lower calorie fast today and tomorrow. I also joined one of the MFP challenges for exercise. Gotta get moving!
Have a GREAT month! Stay healthy!0 -
I'm trying to extend my dry fasts, the past few days have been Ramadan style, having a meal and water at night. I want to be losing a little faster, gonna try to go the next few days before breaking0
-
Hey, all! I am almost through my fast. I ended up having a small salad for dinner and then one Voortman wafer cookie. I regret nothing. I also got a small project done yesterday. One of those things that you put off for no good reason and then when you finally do it, you smack yourself because it was really easy. Today is clean out the fridge/freezers day. I have no idea what all we have in there and we are completely out of freezer space.
Have a great day! Stay healthy!0 -
Good morning all!
@KateNkognito congrats on the fast. I call it a win! Yes, we need to clean out our freezer too. Trying to keep eating stuff from it before buying more stuff, but that never seems to work.
@cgcrutch good for you! I have been dealing with slow weight loss at times, but I am not ready to change things up yet and do a longer fast. Sticking with my 3pm to 9pm eating window and planning to ride it out for now. I need to let my body adjust. Been losing lots of inches.
Not much else going on here. Sticking with my six hour eating window and keto WOE. Drinking lots of water!
Have a nice one and see you guys soon.2 -
Didn't get the fridge/freezer done yesterday, will do today. I get to get into my classroom to put things away and sort stuff on Friday, so I am planning on fasting again then.
We have had some protests not too far away. It is kind of tense. There was a police shooting a little while back and now all of this. We are staying out of the city for now. 2020 is one crazy year. Stay safe! Stay Healthy! Keep loving each other and try to find the helpers!

Hi all!
Crazy day so just dropping by to say hi.
Went in to the office for a few hours and next thing you know the work day is almost over!
Hope all is well. See you soon.0 -
Good morning all.
Hope everybody is good!
Not much to report here. Rocking and rolling along with Keto. Tomorrow AM is weekly weigh in day. Fingers crossed.
Have a good one and see you soon.0 -
It has been a day!! I am not going to eat my feelings. I am not going to eat my feelings...
Have a good day everyone. I am going to go take a nap and start fresh later. Stay healthy! Have a lovely day!0 -
Good morning all.
@KateNkognito hope you didn't eat your feelings! Hugs.
Happy to report that I am down 1.4 lbs which brings me to a total of 50 lbs lost since starting Keto in August of 2019. 20 lbs to go until goal weight.
Hope everybody has a great day and a nice weekend. I am off on Monday. We are planning to spend as much time as possible outside and at the beach.
Have a good one and see you all soon.2 -
Just checking in with you lovely ladies. I completed my 10 day fast with only one day that was a bit rough. I lost a total of 13 lbs over the whole fasting protocol I was doing and 6lbs over the last 10 days. So results wise it has been super productive. I hit the 150s so that's super exciting and uncharted territory. I've 13lbs (I think) left to my goal weight. I've moved my goal several times already so I'll reassess once I'm close and see if that's my ultimate number or not.
Today I'm back to eating, and honestly it's a struggle. 😂 I psychologically want to eat all the tasty food, and my body is like... You're doing what now? Make up your mind crazy lady!
Glad to see everyone is doing well @Meghan509 congratulations on another stellar loss, @KateNkognito hope you're having a better day today!0 -
Hi. I'm new to the group- been doing a 16:8 since Jan.1 and lost 40 but have struggled the last few weeks. I want to step it up so want to try the 5:2 and see how it goes. I still have over 100+ to lose. I see this group has been around a while so wondering if you all have any tips/tricks for starting out this new journey?1

Good morning, all!
Welcome, @Achieve135Now! It is nice to see a new face! There are a ton of resources on this page. We are also a pretty friendly, encouraging group.
@A_Dabauer I hope you got your brain and body all in step. Congratulations on being so close to your goal!
@Meghan509 Congratulations on the loss and enjoy your day off!!
I didn't eat my feelings, but I didn't do very well, either. I am going to keep changing things up until I find what works for me. I am doing well with the longer fasts. I think I need to start weighing in more often for the accountability. Also, I need to start exercising. I pretty much have the eating part in hand, but I have to get this flab in shape and also do some cardio to burn more fat while I am fasting.
@mamainthekitchen, @orlcam, @cgcrutch, and everyone else: Hello!0 -
Hi all!
Had a great day off today. Quick hello!
Will check back in tomorrow AM.

Morning, all! I am just stopping in for a quick hello and then I am off. Things to do, places to go, people to see. Have a good one and stay healthy!0

It is so windy today I am glad I am still a fat girl! I was going to fast today but the dog was jumpy all night because of the wind, so I am tired. Tired and hungry do not go well for me. I will take a nap and try for tomorrow. Our garden is making peas and lettuce, so I see a salad in my future! I am going to grill a whole bunch of stuff tonight for the rest of the week. I got a new accessory for the grill that will let me boil stuff, so I can make pasta and rice side dishes outside when it is hot. I am super excited! I hope everyone is having a good week. Stay healthy!!0

Hi all!
Too funny @KateNkognito!
Just spent a few hours this AM at the office and then went to an eye doctor appointment that had been rescheduled a bunch of times from end of March until now. About to have lunch.
Things are good here. Plugging along. Sticking to my Keto WOE and hoping for a loss this Friday AM!
Speak to you all soon. Have a great day.0 -
Good morning all.
Hope everybody is well.
Going well here. Not too much to report.
Hope to report a loss tomorrow AM when I check in. To all of those fasting - have a great day!
See you soon.0 -
Random add... I am going for a hair cut and highlights tonight and can't wait!!! Due to the pandemic, my last hair appointment was in early March. Good thing is I really don't have any grey hair but it is so LONG and driving me nuts. :O0
-
Well, I wasn't going to fast, but then I walked the dog without having had breakfast and I decided to see how it goes. Accidental fasting for the win?!
@Meghan509 Enjoy your haircut! I missed my annual appointment because of the virus, but now I am thinking I might just skip this year and see how long it gets. Great excuse for new hair accessories, right?
Have a great day, everyone! Stay healthy!0 -
I'm feeling hopeless I do all this fasting and it seems any time I eat ANYTHING I go right back to square one! Yesterday I dry fasted all day and ate 2 boiled eggs, some quest chips and 2 cups of green beans with a tablespoon of fat to cook... HOW am I gaining weight from that?? I merely THOUGHT about ordering takeout but decided not to backslide so I wouldn't gain weight. Still gained weight, over a pound. Like the fasting did NOTHING and the keto food was the pizza I wanted it to be. UGH!2
-
Even OMAD dry fasting isn't working. I'm gonna have to fast continuously until I reach my goal weight.. probably have to fast forever1
-
Hi all!
Weighed in this morning and am the same weight as last week. S'ok I will take it. We measured recently and I have lost several inches since two months ago, when we last measured. Sometimes I have to remind myself that the Keto WOE is not about the number on the scale but losing fat which means inches.
@KateNkognito my hairdresser kept my longer length which I am happy about. She just trimmed up the layers and side bangs and freshened the blond highlights. Just these small tweaks have made me feel better in general. Weird.
LOL.
@cgcrutch hang in there. I would try a reset. Try a couple of weeks of simple 1200-1500 calories a day, CICO - calories in, calories out and see if that will get you losing and back on track. Track it here via MFP. Try not to go crazy with processed ingredients and faux foods. Simple eating. Drink lots of water, take a multi vitamin, etc... If you exercise a little keep it simple, such as walking. Don't eat your exercise calories back. See if that gets you losing again. If it does, then dry a fast here or there, or Keto if that has worked for you. Don't beat yourself up.
Hope everybody else is good. I am planning to spend Saturday and Sunday at the beach. Beautiful weather here on tap. If I don't see you, have a great weekend and see you on Monday.1 -
@cgcrutch I agree with Meghan. Maybe your body thinks it isn't going to get any calories, so it is storing everything you eat. I would try a week or so of normal (break even) calories and then another week of more traditional 5:2 to see if that helps. And hydrate. You can't burn fat without water. Good luck!
@Meghan509 Glad you feel better with your new 'do! Have fun at the beach!
Not sure what is in store this weekend. It is really hot out again, so I am considering filling up the kiddie pool in the back yard and setting my lawnchair next to it. With a cool lemonade to accompany it. Have a great weekend! Stay healthy!0 -
Happy Monday, Y'all! I am just dropping in before I head out into the heat to run errands. Have I mentioned that I disliked grocery shopping before the pandemic, but now I LOATHE it? And the teenagers seem to want to eat us out of house and home.
Have a good week! Happy fasting! Stay healthy!0 -
Good morning all!
@KateNkognito hope you had a nice weekend! I can imagine how your grocery bill has looked with teenagers at home eating all day long. LOL Even our little family of two can't seem to walk out of a Costco for less than $150.
I am good here. We had a nice relaxing weekend with beautiful weather. Went to the beach on Saturday and it felt nice to recharge. We play music via a little blue tooth speaker and we have lunch and basically people watch. The beach is quiet and it is capped at a 50% capacity level. Nice and peaceful.
Feel grateful to be healthy, employed, and to have found a way of eating that is working for me. When I look back, the last time I weighed what I do now (160) was in 1992. Yep, a really long time ago. Feels good. Size 8 pants are fitting comfortable, might even try a size 6 when the fitting rooms open up again. Tops are small most of the time.
Hope everybody had a great weekend. On tap for me is working from home every day except Wednesday. Will be in the office in person for the first time since March, for a full day. Might be the only one there. LOL We shall see!
Have a nice Monday and see you soon.0 -
@Meghan509 It sounds like you had a lovely weekend! I am really glad you have found something that works for you and you are feeling healthy and happy.
I didn't intend to fast yesterday, but then I didn't have anything to eat until 2 in the afternoon. I ended up with not a fast, but definitely a low calorie day. I got a new accessory for my grill that lets me use one of the burners like a stove top. I was able to grill on one side and boil a noodle side on the other. It was fantastic! It is so hot out, I hate to heat up the house cooking inside. Now I can make a nice meal and not stress the AC. (The sad part is, I have reached the age where a new grill accessory makes me this happy.)
Have a good rest of the week! Stay healthy!1 -
Good morning all!
@KateNkognito thanks! I am happy too. I have to say I am liking the shorter eating window a lot and have adapted to it since being home due to Covid-19. Today I am in the office, but am still planning to stick to a 3:00pm to 9:00pm eating window.
Hope everybody is good and well and have a nice June. Jeez, we are half way through June!
Have a great day and chat soon.0 -
Just another day in paradise here. Today is going to get really wild when I give the dog a bath!
On the weight loss side, I had been forgetting to take my vitamins for a while. I started up again and I can't believe the difference it is making in my mood and how I feel physically. I don't remember ever having this much of a difference before. I must be getting old. But I will take the lack of hunger and the weight loss that will come with it. I have been below my calorie goal every day this week. I am just not hungry anymore.
To everyone that lurks: Shout out to you all! I know you are there!0 -
Good morning all.
@KateNkognito I know what you mean about vitamins. I take A LOT and I like the way they make me feel. Also have been reading how important it is to keep your Vitamin D levels high, during this pandemic. Supposed to help you fight the virus, should you get it.

The month and week has been flying by!
Survived a full day in the office yesterday. Funny thing is NOBODY was there except for me. Got a lot done, that is for sure. Next week I volunteered for two days in.
Keto WOE is going well. Managed to stick to my eating window just fine yesterday. Nice to know I can do that even when my routine is a little different.
Have not really been exercising at all. But, the good news is our gym was able to open back up yesterday. Lots of Covid-19 safety protocols in place. We will probably check it out sometime soon.
Planning to stick to my Keto WOE today and hoping for a positive weigh in tomorrow AM.
Have a great day all!0 -
@Meghan509 That sounds like a good day at the office. A lot of the local gyms are having trouble since reopening because people discovered all the free options that we have around here.
Not sure what today will look like, diet wise. I finally ordered a hybrid smartwatch. I am excited to see what it says as far as VO2 and such. A brisk walk is in my future when I get it all set up.
Have a nice end of the week! Stay healthy!!
