I just have to say I am heart broken by the recent senseless deaths of men in our country. And the hatred displayed by the men who perpetrated the crimes. I am also saddened by the violent protests that are still taking place. As Kathy one said to me, "we are better than this". We need change. It starts at home. Do something kind for others when ever you get a chance. Be part of the solution every moment of every day. I had to say that.

Lets lose some weight and make some changes to our eating habits, again!

Went up to the mountain this weekend. Had a good time. Weeded in my garden beds. I have a lot of beds. So that took up a lot of my time on Sunday. Did get in a 30 minute walk.

Forgot to mention. DH made an 8 foot long picnic table. When we got it up to the mountain property he had to hold it up off the tail gate for me to get it opened. He let it down on the top of my head as I was getting out of the way! Ouch! That hurt!

Shelley - I’m with you and so devastated by what I am seeing. The raw I’m, hate and violence hurts my ❤️. Particularly violent in Philadelphia so close to home.

    Chris my head still hurts!

    Karen it is truly sad.

Protesters were in my city today. Most were peaceful. Some not. We planned for the worst. Hoped for the best and got something in between.

Got in my steps today and even went up onto the roof of our building. A great view of the people marching.

    Stay safe, Shelley.

Wish I could say 145.4, but I can't. And I can't get myself to exercise. We are walking but that's it.

Chris he sure is growing quickly. What a little man he is turning into. Are they going to have another one? If you know.

Kathy I took a rest day also. It turned into a two day one! Muahahaha

    Karen nice work.

I have been playing in my gardens and walking around lots. But since it is not at a faster pace it does not always count on my fitbit!

I feel your pain...having the same issue! We will get it together. No more crackers, chips or cheese-it’s in the house! :(

Kathy so true. My loving husband needs to stop buying for me. He loves to feed me. And the dogs, and the cat. And now my mother is also being spoiled by him.

Almost all the chocolate was out of the house two days ago. I get home last night and there is an entire drawer full of it again! He is trying to kill me. And yes I have told him to stop. Can't count the times I have told him to stop.

My daughter is going to do the South Beach diet. I think anyways that is what she told me. So I ordered a copy and am considering doing it with her. Not a crazy fad type of diet. And they have cook books also. I need a change so I think this would be helpful.

Shelley - I did the South Beach diet a couple years ago and found some really good success with it. Plus I think the food is really delicious!

I had a really stressful day yesterday and snuck it in my has been start of chocolate. You all know how that ended LOL! Yeah I didn’t feel very great with all of the stuff that I ate. But here we are at a new day. So hard when the stress takes over and we just want that immediate relief isn’t it? I am wearing a pair of jean shorts today that are almost too big to wear but I haven’t had a chance to do any laundry LOL! But these are shorts that I wore last year they were pretty tight. So that feels good.

Counting the hours till Friday is over. Really excited about this evening. Bella is officially done school! Well it has been hard to do this homeschooling virtual piece. Especially for kids on the spectrum like Bella, learning in this type of isolated environment is not ideal. She did such a fantastic job of course with a lot of support from us. But she got all A’s for the first time in middle school and I’m so proud of her. So tonight we have a virtual Zoom honors ceremony that she will attend. I need to think of something really special to do to celebrate how well she’s done with this.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Nice to know Karen! I have heard lots of negatives from parents here about the virtual schooling. I am sure there are those who like it also. I am glad she finished doing so excellent! She has to be excited and proud of herself. :)

I was able to visit a granddaughter who is moving to Georgia on Saturday with her mom. I hate that they are moving. I hope she moves back n a couple of years when she turns 18. Today is a hot one. Tomorrow will be in the 90's. So we will probably head to the mountain. Funny how close it is. About 20 minutes and we are on our property. We have rights to a well up there less than 5 minutes away.

It’s been a busy week. I had to have a new heating/air system installed upstairs in what will be my parent’s living space. Repair was not an option. There’s a living room, bedroom and bath in the bonus area. Not a large space so the system didn’t have to be too big...still $3800. Last week I had 2 set of shelves made and installed in the garage and bought a huge cabinet for overflow kitchen items. My handy man is awesome. He also installed closet racks that had never been done upstairs and completed their linen closet. Im a little poorer but I’ve accomplished so much. Both my mom and I are in the donate, giveaway, throw away stage to merge two households into one. Thankfully when they sold their home of 30 years two years ago they got rid of a lot. This move will be easier.

I’m hoping to get my parent moved in by September instead of November. Next up: kitchen painting and new floor. Then new floors in living, dining room and my bedroom. These thing I plan to have done in July. Thankfully I put money aside when I retired for this. New floors have been my dream for awhile.

In the meantime exercise has suffered but I’m being careful with food. Plan to get a walk in tomorrow morning. I don’t have anyone scheduled here for anything.

    Fun, fun, fun. :D

Kathy that sounds really wonderful. Photos before they move in. I am concerned that their area is upstairs. Do you have one of those chairs that goes up automatically? Did I mention I worry to much? o:)

The new floors sound wonderful. I want some in the living room. I would have to move my two large tanks first though. What color will the kitchen be?

My exercise has been sporadic at best. Muscle loss is showing. Let's workout tomorrow. B)

So we are going to go look at an Arctic Cat tonight for up on the mountain. Rocky has his camper up there. We are planning on spending some time up there this weekend. I plan on finding places I can go for long walks! We are going to take at least 2 of the dogs. Not sure about the old guys. They might get confused and lost up there. Did I mention I have a new starfish? It is a very small sandsifting one. I put it in my small tank for now. So cute!

They both really want the bonus rooms upstairs. I tried. We may have to move things around one day. I’m also a worrier, I get it. They both move really well for their ages. And I fuss all the time about holding onto the banister as the go up and down. No I don’t have one of these chairs. My mom’s bedroom is downstairs it’s my Dad who will be up. She will be upstairs when she gets sick of me. They have a large living room upstairs to share.

I think most people cook traditional soul food. But Ron picked up food from our favorite Mexican restaurant. :D
