Hello everyone, I am 52 (going to be 53 in September), I live in the beautiful Mantua Ohio, and my highest weight was 189 when I started on MFP over 8.5 years ago. About 6 years ago I was 145 and could wear a size 4. Today I am hanging about 166 and about a size 10-12. I am 5'5. I am following low carb and no process food-Ha when I am following my plan. I love to walk and trying to get back to jogging. Fell pretty good that I can walk 6 miles daily if I wanted.
My husband is semi retired which is stressful financially (he is 15 yrs older than me) but we are doing well. The pandemic has impacted my eating and drinking but I am going to make August really count. I found out Friday that I will be back working from home for month of August. I worked from home March 13 - July 1, and they now decided to send us back home.
My husband is high risk so I don't mind that we don't go anywhere while this virus is hanging around.
Goal for Aug-stay under calories, exercise (walking and weights), limit alcohol and get the scale down.
I have 2 dogs I adore and 5 Betta fish. (Pandemic hobby). Glad to be in such a supportive group even though I don't post alot.
We can do this.0 -
Hello y'all
I am Lacey!! I was a big girl as a child. Honestly. I am smaller now than I ever was in highschool. My smallest ever was 130lbs. That was when my oldest daughter was about 2! I have lost over 100lbs 3 times in my life. Gained it back with babies twice!! Now I'm trying to get to 150lbs. We own a residential cleaning business!! We are finally getting some new cleaning specialist!! Woo woo!! Soon my focus will not be so work oriented and I can give my weight loss the attention it needs. I am an emotional eater. Very addictive personality!! Food has always been a source of comfort. From when I was a young girl living in very hard times. Food was all I usually had to enjoy. Very hard to change habits that run so deep! BUT IM DOING IT AGAIN!!!! Want to be the best me I can be!!
I accept the 2lb challenge!! I will lose 2lbs by next Saturday weight in!! Yesterday I enjoyed a cheat day from hell!! Hahaha needed that *kitten*!! Today FOCUS!!! STARTING THIS WEEK STRONG!!!
HOPEFULLY I WILL KEEP MY HEAD IN THE GAME AND I WILL BE HERE MORE TO CHEER YALL ON AS WELL!!
I APOLOGISE FOR BEING A SLACKER LATELY!! YALL DESERVE BETTER!!
IM ON IT!!!!!2 -

Hi! I'm Alex and I started my weightloss journey less than a week ago 😂😂 I'm 28, married w/ a 1 year old, live in North Carolina, and I'm currently in nursing school so my stress stays pretty high most of the time. I lost my baby weight pretty quickly from a mixture of stress and forgetting to eat but lockdown has me back up to almost my third trimester weight 😭 I still look ok in my clothes (I did have to buy new jeans) so I was initially fine with it. Then I took my son swimming and I saw pictures of myself in a bikini... That was Monday. I just wasn't happy about the way I looked at all and my self confidence took a bit of a hit.
So anyway, I'm at 163 right now and my goal is 145.
I'm excited to be a part of this group and I'm super ready to get to it!

Aside from posting results today, I have been priming a bedroom for paint. This is the one from my post last week that 'melted.' We have spent the last two days sanding and dusting. It has been an ordeal. I realized I am FAR from a painter!!
I wanted to say how happy I am with our week 5 and monthly results!! WAY TO GO TEAM!!!
Can we do it again this week? ABSO-FREAKING-LOUTLY
WHO IS COMMITTED TO GREEN THIS WEEK?
For the new folks, on our spreadsheet - green represents a loss and red a gain...
My goal for the week is a 1.4 or more loss. This would give me an even 50 lbs loss and keep me on track for my 16 lb challenge. Current status 2.6 of 16 gone.
This week will be a challenge for me. I am back at my real home this week. My husband has said 3x already that he was excited for me to cook for him. I will continue my Mod IF this week and try to keep lunches in check. I will be going for pre-work walks to help get my steps in.
Transition is a part of life. We have to learn to think on our feet and not cave when our situation changes.
I cannot wait to see what this week brings!!!!!

Hi (or should I say "G'day, mate"?)! I'm Australian, and mum to a teen. I've been maintaining a healthy weight since January this year.
When I began this challenge, in February 2019, I was class 3 obese, weighed 119.5kg (263.5 lbs), had insulin resistance, a sluggish thyroid, and was an epic snorer. Everything was fixed within a year of consistent effort. My goal is to keep on track (eating liberal LCHF wholefoods, intermittent fasting, regular exercise, good sleep, stress management), knowing that "maintenance" is actually a bigger challenge for me than the weight-loss. I've lost and gained so many times in the past 25 years, I really need to stick with this!
My stats:
169cm / 5'7'
41 years
Highest Weight: 119.5kg/263.5lbs (27th January 2019)
Maintenance zone: 62-66 kg/138-146lbs (6th January 2020)
Maintenance duration: 7 months.3 -
Hi, I am krupali from Mumbai, India
This Monday’s weigh-in, in lbs as requested
PW: 133.4 lbs (27 July)
CW: 130.5 lbs (3 August)
Goal for this week is to get to below 129 lbs, working towards it with HIIT workout on the treadmill and eating right2 -
A new colleague suggested going to an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet for lunch. I had no other suggestions, so ended up going. I'm pretty proud of myself: first I went to the dessert section and loaded half of my plate with fresh fruit, and then filled the rest with sushi. I ate a piece of fruit between each piece of sushi, and guess what? I didn't go back for seconds or desserts! Might be my first time ever not going for sushi seconds at a buffet.
So yeah, it was still a heavy lunch, but at least it was lighter than usual.4 -

I am so excited about the group we have this month! This is the biggest group we have had in a while!!!!
I am currently reviewing the weigh in spreadsheet - over half of our weigh ins are on Friday and Saturday. Just a reminder for everyone that @jugar does the weekly tallies very early on Sunday mornings EST. Please have your weigh ins submitted on time so that they will count for the week. If you report after Saturday, your successes will count toward our monthly total, but not weekly.
IDK about y'all, but I like to win! Let's kick some ASSETS this week and be the top loser Sunday!!!!5 -
Hi, I am krupali from Mumbai, India

PW: 133.4 lbs (27 July)
CW: 130.5 lbs (3 August)

Thank you again for posting in pounds. Great loss this week!!!!1 -
Happy Monday everyone! Today is my 100th day on MFP so I feel quite happy with reaching triple digits. My weight is in a lot better place than it was 100 days ago and hopefully well before the next 100 days is up I'll be theoretically in a healthy weight range (ie by BMI - I'm pretty small so getting into that range will still mean I'm overweight in reality).
Today is back to work after a 2 week vacation (where I pretty much just worked the whole time but as least I could do it on a flexible schedule) so it's good that I can focus on making it to day 100 instead of being back at work. Getting in steps will be much more challenging now I need to be constantly online but I set it as a habit in the tracker so hopefully I can keep on top of it.1 -
Rough day calorie wise yesterday. Drove 2.5 hrs for a great deal on a free motion cable cross over, but stopped at sheetz for food twice with the hubby. Then got home WAY too late to hit the gym...
I REALLY need to be able to get to the gym the rest of this week though or I will end up with another week where I either lose nothing or gain. For anyone who doesn’t know yet, my gym is in my basement, so you would think I would have no excuses then. I work full time at an 8-4:30 job and then part time helping my husband with our gym equipment business. Things are always hectic during the summer for purchases, but with covid lockdowns continuing, this summer has been hectic on both the purchasing and selling end (great for business, NOT great for weight loss).0
