I’ll take it! Between my daughter visiting for the week and my husband’s accident and surgery, it’s been a stressful week. I need to re-evaluate my eating plan and try to get more walks in this coming week.2 -

biketheworld wrote: »And....here's the frustrating thing about biking. No matter how many miles I go or how long I pedal, I NEVER lose weight. My garmin can claim I've burned 4,000 calories, but the scale will be up 2 pounds. On Wednesday I was 206 which was my goal for the week. I hadn't biked in 6 days. The past two days I put in 46 miles, my eating has been within range, and I'm up to 207.4. Last year I biked 300 miles in 5 days, ate normal, gained 5 pounds. Muscle gain....water retention....blah blah blah it's still frustrating. And yet....I love being on that bike so much that there's no way I'll give it up. So....slow and steady has been my motto this year for weight loss, that's what I'll stick to, and I'll celebrate the progress I've made.

I only use my bike on leg day because of how few calories I burn on it. I like it, but if I need to burn calories to lose, the bike is the last choice for me .1 -

Sorry, I'm here I'm here. I usually weigh myself towards the end of the day for "real" results, not sure if that's good or not?

Sorry I was confusing. My celebration was hitting the 50 lbs lost, but I also have a 16 lb birthday challenge going on... the goal is to lose 16 by my birthday. I am 5 pounds in with 11 to go.
Lots of celebrations going on 😁😁😁0 -
A day late with weigh in, sorry about that, had a busy Friday! Not doing bad but need to start working out more, I sit all day which is terrible..

I caved in, this is my actual scale weight from today, not my trendweight as usual. The bloat was insane this week (see picture below) and started whooshing away yesterday, but not in time for my trendweight to recover. This was a hard week in many ways, and honestly I just couldn’t deal with reporting a gain this week when I know it was just bloat. This is me faking it until I make it, motivating myself to move on and keep going.
I pledge that next week I switch back to reporting trendweight, and that my trendweight will be 211.5 or less. That will give me two major wins: 10 pounds lost, and finally being below 96kg (211.5=95.9) after spending a month stuck in the 96s. Seriously, I entered the 96s on July 6, and I’m still there. Not cool.
Today I have an active day planned: I’m going on a sloooooow bike ride to the beach with my friend - she has long haul post-covid symptoms (cleared by doctors, she’s not contagious) and asked me to come keep her company and act as unofficial lifeguard since she’s still pretty weak after being practically in bedrest for almost 5 months. Later today my husband and I will hit either the gym or the rope climbing park, we haven’t decided yet.
Oh, and here’s the picture of my weight graph, the bloat pretty much explains itself and my decision to report scale weight instead:

My weight loss has been sooo slow but I wanted to jump on here and share an NSV. I have been working out and my knee has improved so I’ve been increasing my cardio (though I’ve not been walking as much since my husband broke his back and had surgery on Monday.) I have a tv stand with doors and it has not been cleaned out in a looong time. Sitting on the floor, on my knees, and reaching into the depths was painful so I avoided it. Well, yesterday I cleaned it! I purged old videos, sorted thru CDs that had been tossed willy-nilly, and filed them in alphabetical order (yes, I’m that person!). I gave everything a good wipe down. My husband looked at me and said “I could never get down there like you did. That’s amazing!” And the amazing thing is, I didn’t think about how special it was until he said something! I was comfortable down on the floor, reaching and crawling and getting up. I’m just amazed at the improvement in my mobility!8

@cre804 - that is AWESOME
I've had 2 NSV moments recently. Twice last week I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and could see that my face was thinner. Then we met up with some friends that we hadn't seen since March and they noticed I'd lost weight. So....even though progress is agonizingly slow, it's going in the right direction, my clothes are fitting better, and I'm seeing results.3 -
Happy Beginning of a new week.
I am excited about some of my meal choices this week (because I know its gonna be a hard week mentally... my son moves back out Saturday, and even thought I feel its needed as we have been fighting a lot, itll still be an adjustment again)1 -

Guys I'm so excited about this. I've been walking/running a lot and it seems like I should have lost more. Unfortunately, I haven't done much except hike every couple weeks and sit around the house since March so I know I have a lot of muscle to gain back. My clothes all fit better and I really feel great.
I can tell I'm making a ton for progress fitness wise and that saved me yesterday. I went for an evening hike with my dad on an unfamiliar trail and the area got darker faster than we anticipated (sunset is hard to estimate in the mountains). I had my one year old son strapped to my back so we needed to pick up some speed to get him out. I was able to speedwalk/jog for about a mile (uphill) carrying an extra 25 lbs. It felt great knowing that I could do it fairly easily.6 -
