@k80flec: I am sorry to here about PT. Ankle sprains are often worse than a break. I had to sleep with a blanket box for weeks after falling down our basement steps. Any weight on it was brutal. Even stepping on some gravel would cause it roll.
Well I signed up for a running race for September. It is virtual, but I am doing the 5k and 10k for a challenge. The actual 10 k was brutal with a. 2 mile uphill run near the end in intense heat. It really was a challenge to run it without walking the hill. Just when you hit the top of the hill there was another one.At least I can run my virtual anywhere.I would live to do my 10 miler in November but I am not going to push it. I have had sciatica since March and now It is affecting nerves in my lower left abdominal area. I have had the side pain for 36 days now.
I have been working at my dad’s trying to get his outside done before winter. Then it is either watering here, my church or MG garden, tonight we finally got a decent rain after weeks of none and high temps.

After a killer Boot camp yesterday which caused me to curse the instructor this morning, getting out of bed, I managed a 3.7 mile this afternoon.
Reading all the running posts, I need to get back to it, I've been overeating a lot lately and putting back some of the weight I lost. I doubt I could do a 5K right now, a lot of it is mental for me. I've been thinking of restarting the C25K program.

Adding 10.59 miles
Just when I'm able to walk again after my sprained ankle and other foot issues healed, there is way too much smoke out there. It is awful. I can't imagine what folks near the California fires are feeling. My SIL in Boulder Creek had to evacuate, and I have a friend near Santa Cruz that had to evacuate. I feel so bad for them. Lightning is fascinating yet can be devastating at the same time.

I was disappointed it seemed like the battery was dying. I could only get one week out of the charge. I used to get two. Then someone with an apple watch told me they have to charge every night. I think this little watch is doing fantastic.
Does it sync with the FitBit app? I'm fairly active over there in the weekly challenges

CONGRATS on making GOAL to @ANACONDA469!!
It's Friday and I'm off on another weekend motorcycle adventure with my Sweetie and one other couple! We have 3 stops left of the original 11 stops in our riding club's "Chafed Butt Challenge." This will take us from St. Paul, MN to Milwaukee, WI and the H-D Museum, then another stop near Eau Claire, WI, then north to the last stop in Cable, WI. We'll be doing about 950 today through Sunday. Looking forward to it and hope we stay DRY!!
Have a great weekend, all!!
Dave
CONGRATS on making GOAL to @ANACONDA469, @clepantand, @k80flec , @kar328. That's fabulous !!
Dave, I hope you had a great weekend. We went to the HD Museum two years ago and it was pretty great. There is a little hole in the wall diner not far from there that serves the best burgers, called Oscar's Pub & Grill. Two years later and my hubby asks Do you remember that place?

Back from the trip and it was fabulous!! We managed to stay dry and not get any sunburns! Tons of smiles & laughs and we had the best time with our friends. As fun as it was, it was still good to get home to our own bed last night so we could fall asleep and dream of the next excellent adventure. We'll have to remember Oscar's Pub for next time we go out there! Thanks for the tip.
Now to get out to move my butt and burn off some of those extra calories we consumed the last couple of days!
