Our older grandsons go back to school this week. We had a fabulous day of adventures on Monday. Planned our journey to Grizedale Forest to include a short ferry ride across a lake. Is it bad to let the boys think the Forest was on an island?
This reminds me of a time when my boys were quite small and we created a treasure hunt. We bought a wooden box that we made look "distressed" and filled it with small coins and costume jewelry. We then created a "pirate map" that we stained with coffee. We buried the box on a small island near our house and then let the boys "discover" the map and lead us to the treasure. That box sat around our house for years and they never said anything about it as they got old enough to realize it was fake. So no, it was not bad at all - it was magical.

It was crazy windy here yesterday in Minnesota as well!! No way I wanted to ride my bicycle in that! It has also cooled off a ton and fell like late autumn. I think our high was around 65F? Had to actually wear a light jacket/windbreaker on our walk last night! I still had on shorts though...let's not get too carried away.
@ANACONDA469 - What a gorgeous view there!
Can't believe it's already the weekend!! This week just FLEWWWW by! Must be all that wind. lol. And it's a long, holiday weekend here in the USA. I hope you all have a great weekend!
