@Katmary71 You definitely sound like an empath, it's easy to get worn down by listening all the time to other peoples' problems and helping them all the time. As hard as it is, sometimes we need to say no, or turn the conversation so we can feel supported too. I'm sure coming off meds wouldn't be helping with any of this at the moment, so I hope once you adjust that you'll feel much better!
@raleighgirl09 Ewwwwww spiders. I have the same rule - don't come in my house or you're fair game. Fair game for hubby to kill, not me, because I am terrified of spiders! And I live in rural Australia where we have plenty of venomous ones!
@BethB554 I'm glad your Dad is getting to focus on something healthy, it must be incredibly frustrating for him to not be able to do all the things he wants to. Do you go to the gym together?
***DAILY CHECK IN - WEDNESDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER***
Calories: Under
Water: Over
Exercise: 30 mins strength training
Goals/Improvements for tomorrow: Track calories, 30 mins exercise.
I had intended to go for a walk after work since the weather is warming back up I thought it would be nice. But I got home and was waiting for someone to drop in a laptop for me to look at for them (they couldn't find their accounting software data file, turns out it was in the recycle bin!). So it got a bit late by the time they left. Instead I did some light weights and crunch variations. I don't really like doing strength training much so I popped Netflix on and the half hour was up before I knew it. Not the greatest workout but better than just lounging. I am hoping to walk today after work!3 -

So - on Frank TV tonight, he wonders how many drinks he's had - 2 or 3? Unlike actual TV where you can answer all day long and no one knows or notices.....Frank TV can hear my answer - AND RESPOND! It's pretty cool. All joking aside....this is a long road for my Mr. Frank. He's wondered in the past, if he can actually be on his own; he has historically moved from wife to wife pretty quickly. I am wife #3 (ok, #1, who are we kiddig????) and I said - ok, well.....I don't *own* you. You are free to move about the planet as you see fit. You can be here - you can be there - you can be elsewhere. It's up to you. I will miss you no matter where you are, if you are not with me, but I want you to be happy. I love you - no matter where you are.
This is not easy - I want to emphasize. And now we have Frank TV so it's even less severe. I would like to think, I hope....HOPE...that I could be as magnanimous NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES. I have not been put to that test but my Frank deserves to feel that he can move about the earth and feel loved and appreciated, missed and yet freed to pursure his passions, dreams and goals. No ties and binds, no chains.
"If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be."
Well, I guess I had more on my mind but I don't want to water this down. It's too important.2 -
Hi all! I'm finally caught up on the intro posts and ready to do my own. I'm hilogirl2018, I'm 40 and I'm trying to the lose 20 pounds I already lost last year. Guess when and how I regained it? Yep, during quarantine, when I insensibly ate anything I wanted, all day long. I actually lost a total of 30 pounds last year, so at least I'm rejoining MFP before the last 10 creeped back on.
I'm disappointed in myself BUT trying to be gentle because it's a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, and while that doesn't give me license to free range snack all day (as I've regrettably discovered), it does mean I can forgive myself for not handling the stress perfectly.
So back to what works:
(1) IF with a 12-8 window
(2) logging calories
(3) daily accountability check-ins
(4) rooting for others sharing the same goals (which is why I joined this group).
(5) daily weigh-ins
Turns out 3/5 of my proven successful strategies involve MFP! I don't work out because I have some mobility issues, but I am going to try to start fitting in some toning this time around.
Excited to jump in here and get to know you all!4 -
@TeresaW1020 I haven't read the Gin Stephen's book you mentioned, but I read her Delay, Don't Deny book a couple of years ago and it was a total gamechanger. I'm on a 16:8 schedule now, down from much longer fasts that weren't really doing anything for me (in terms of weight loss, anyway). Eating noon-8 is my perfect window. Love IF!
@Katmary71 I have nerve pain and mobility issues as well, can you share your seated workout routine? Is it a YouTube video? I really would love to do some form of cardio. House centipedes?! Ugh, they have those in Hawaii. No thanks. Hugs on tapering off an antidepressant, that is tough.
@petrocoetsee I'm also rebooting my weight loss after apparently forgetting everything I'd learned and worked to hard to do to get to maintenance. We cam do this!
@vegan4lyfe2012 My mom used to demo Stampin' Up cards- such a fun hobby! I like how you said "September is going to be a fun ride for me." How often do we hear "fun" in a weight loss discussion?! I need to emphasize the fun a lot more: how fun it is to step on the scale and see that lower number, or to feel *good* about myself at the end of the night because I've done what I set out to do that day. Thanks for the reminder that this doesn't have to be a total drag!
@GabiV125 I have about 20 pounds to lose, too. I realized today that if I lose a steady 1 pound a week, I'll be at goal weight by the end of the year- not bad! Imagine waking up January 1st and being at maintenance. We got this! You asked about IF- simply skipping breakfast and calling it fasting is FINE (I do this, and open my window at noon), but a "clean" fast means no cream in your coffee. I make an awesome cold brew at home and drink that until lunchtime. One piece of advice about fasting, take it or leave it: I love Gin Stephen's Delay, Don't Deny book and learned so much, but did *not* have success without counting calories, which is something she doesn't feel is necessary if you fast with a shorter window (not sure is she still feels that way about counting calories in the new book). Fasting doesn't free me from tracking calories (even when I got down to a 4-hour window), but it does stretch my 1200 calories into a manageable amount to keep me satisfied. That said, some people seem to be able to get away with not tracking. You'll find your groove!
@andreiya12 I think your eating plan sounds fine (similar to my own calorie range) but it's hard to say without knowing your current height, because calories are often based on weight AND height, plus the pace you want to lose at. You say you do a lot of housework? Why not count that as exercise? You're likely doing more physical activity than you think!
@Jactop o.m.g a chocolate factory! I can't imagine how great that smells! Do you still love chocolate (if you did previously)?
@gwamajtw91 I do IF 16:8, too, and have found it's one of the easiest ways for me to make my calories stretch further, plus, it's just easier for me to skip breakfast. It always made me hungrier anyway! Happy belated birthday!
@raleighgirl09 Do you go by pharmgirl because you work in pharmacy? That's all I could think of. Clever if so! I love punny names. So sorry about the spider. I once got stuck in a car with a spider the size of my hand, I about died (!) Also wanted to add that it sounds like you're exactly the partner your Mr. Frank needs, incredibly understanding and willing to give him the space he needs. Please don't hesitate to vent/share here.2 -
@GabiV125 I'm not sure if you're asking for advice with IF or with coffee. With coffee I found if you ice or cold brew it, it's not as harsh black. I was able to cut creamer but not sugar until this anti-inflammatory diet and now I'm using cinnamon and cocoa powder in iced coffee. As far as IF goes I did it by default as I didn't eat breakfast. I tried doing it the opposite way skipping dinner but I used to work out prior to dinner and kept crashing my blood sugar so I went back to IF skipping breakfast for awhile. I get hypoglycemic on IF so I've done better balancing out my food more. I still skip breakfast, just have been eating later than normal so it's not 14/8, more like 12/12.
@TeresaW1020 Hope you had fun with the little ones and you're not too sore from the workout.
@BethB554 Do you go to the gym with your dad? That's awesome if you do! When I visit my parents my dad and I go, we've both had spinal surgeries and work out every day during normal times. I'm bummed he hasn't kept it up since the gym closed but I've pressured the heck out of him, I can't make him do it and he feels physically awful but can't rally. As far as the anti-depressants it's my choice, I'm tired of the side effects and my nurse agrees it's a good idea to at least decrease them. I think as long as I stay in a pretty scheduled routine and work out every morning I'll be good. Thanks for asking! Who knows, gluten can be related to some of it and my diet may be helping too, my head is a lot clearer.
@TwistedSassette Way to rally! I'm the same way with strength, I see the biggest visual difference plus then I can do things I couldn't before with it but it's the hardest for me to do for some reason. I LOVE doing strength legs and miss it like crazy, arms not so much and abs I'm really not into right now! Over an hour cardio sure! Abs for 10 minutes, yuck! I need to find some new challenges I can do, I was doing some ten minute ab ones on YouTube that were fun but can't do the planks with my legs all screwy.
@Cornanda @trooworld I was sure trooworld would be some crazy story too! Mine's so boring, Kat is my nickname for Kathy, Mary is my middle name, then user name was taken so I tossed in my year of birth. It's my gmail too, I'm not original at all!
@raleighgirl09 I thought I ran off on tangents, what the heck is FrankTV and what am I missing? I totally agree with you about it even though I don't know what it is! Ideally if you set it free it comes back to you because that is where it chooses to be. Funny, I've been having discussions like this with a friend who was ready to sell his soul for a woman who isn't emotionally available at all and would destroy him emotionally. I get where she's coming from but she's so fragile and needy and he's a rescuer who would do anything for her, she'd ideally need a lot of counseling and be able to really communicate to make things work. I keep trying to explain that a person should not BE your life but enhance it and compliment it and that one person can't be another person's everything. He's one of the people I was saying was draining me, hours of "poor me" drives me insane and I have no patience for it, if you're unhappy enough to talk about it for hours do something about it. I'm only so sympathetic to excuses which is one of my weak areas I guess but it's not something I let myself get away with either.
@Hilogirl2018 OMG I love you, you want me to share videos!? Before I could only do these workouts I did new stuff and shared videos every day, it was so fun! Can you do legs at all? If so I can send you my seated playlist. If you can't do legs I have a handful of arm cardio videos only. In my case I've had back fusions so low impact is needed even in the best of times, I have a ton of videos that are low impact. Seated is a mixed bag, the ones with legs are still pretty good full-body workouts though I noticed with all seated I have to be careful of bouncing because of the groin nerve pain worsening when I get hot. Arm cardio is stuff like boxing and flapping my arms around. I have a bunch of YouTube playlists from dance to yoga. The current arm cardio is some short arm-only ones, then some dance routines I can do upper body only. I do yoga and resistant bands too, feel free to drop me a message or let me know here and I'm more than happy to share videos, I love doing that! I did three today multiple times, I mute them and snap a second YouTube window with videos and sing at the top of my lungs, figure I burn more calories that way. I got 10,000 steps in 80 minutes of arm flapping this morning, was having too much fun with my music and got carried away!

Well, I got irritated at being taken advantage of so I told one person off and told the other person I had my own things to do today when she texted me wondering where I was when she never confirmed for TODAY after flaking yesterday. She's family so I can't stay mad at her, she must've sensed my frustration because I got a lot of apologies when instead of rushing right over I said I'd just started meditating and had things to do. I think people get used to me dropping everything for them and it keeps getting taken advantage of so I'm done, respect my time or don't get any of it. I stayed outside for over 2 hours being mentally/spiritually creative enjoying music, I'm in a great mood for the most part aside of missing a class that was rescheduled for tonight instead of tomorrow but it all worked out.
I cheated on my diet! I was rushing through a recipe and making dinner late and was dumping all the ingredients in the Instant Pot when I realized chipotle peppers in adobo sauce have both soybean oil and sugar. WHY???? I'd already licked the Tablespoon so I figured being the last ingredients in the can wouldn't hurt me for one recipe. I watched the guy I'm seeing eat it with tortillas and with refried beans. Can you tell I'm jealous of him? I had chipotle chicken over Romaine, I love salads but COME ON! And I watched him dip his artichoke in mayo. My genetic testing says Celiac and gluten are the main issues but anti-inflammatory is still good for my nerves so I guess I'll keep at it, it's just frustrating. Of course it needed sour cream and a huge handful of cheese too but I just ate my stupid salad and pretended I was happy. It WAS good chicken though, tastiest thing I've had in awhile!5 -
Today’s my husband’s birthday, 51. I’ve been having some horrible nightmares last 3 nights, and I’m extremely tired, is it bad to be grateful 51 is not a meaningful number.... ? He is the most balanced and dependable person I know, except when he turned 30, 40, 50- then he’s a little girl, or a teenager at her period (our daughter’s words not mine).
Food, cake, bloat, lack of sleep, here I come!3 -

Howdy, September Slimpossibles Challengers!
I'm Austin, one of your three Team Motivators! I joined Fat2Fit over a year and a half ago, part way through my journey, and find this group to be super helpful and supportive. I have lost over 130 pounds since I started work on losing weight (January 2018), and have reached a healthy weight. I am now working on to build muscle and fitness. I study martial arts and love walks, so you'll hopefully see those activities on my check-ins. I love to read up on things, and have studied habit building* and nutritional science** as I have worked on losing weight and getting healthier. Every body and every person is different, and I have enjoyed learning more and engaging in the kind of science experiment of figuring out what works for me. Making it happen has been and is still all about developing new habits for me, so every so often I burble about habit building!
I am delighted to be hear and look forward to learning from and being inspired by this awesome, supportive conversation!
More about nutrition & habits:* If interested, check out the work of B.J. Fogg (professor at the Stanford Behavior Design Lab)! He has a book called Tiny Habits, which I love. If you want to reprogram your health and fitness habits, the Tiny Habits system in this book is super simple and practical and unexpectedly (to me) fun. Fogg's team has a weekly free Tiny Habits course to help you build new tiny habits to make your life better! If you get at all interested, though, the book is even better.
For general inspiration on habits, see also the work of James Clear (author of Atomic Habits). His talk on How to Get 1% Better Every Day was particularly inspirational to me. He kicks it off this way:
"So if you were able to improve by 1% each day for an entire year... you would end up 37 times better at the end of the year. And if you were to get 1% worse, you would whittle yourself down almost to zero."
I just love that message -- you don't need to change something huge to reach your goals. Start small. Keep making small changes. Persistence will get you there!
** If interested, check out the nonprofit, research-based site nutritionfacts.org as a great place to start.
So, yeah, I am sorry I have been quiet and am late to the game introducing myself for September and how-can-it-be-Thursday-already?, but I am indeed in the game and will *phew* be back to regular posts.
Quick update on Austin-world (because working on health always happens in the context of the rest of our lives, right?)
- The big project I had been worried about (literary conference, moved online) is now a wrap, with just some post event loose ends to tie up. Nothing quite so overwhelming as the event itself. I stayed with on-plan foods and reasonable quantities, and actually lost weight. I cut a lot of corners as regards sleep, tough, and am focused this week on getting back in the sleep groove.
- To add to the fun, we had a medical emergency. My husband went bicycling, decided to try a mountain biking trail while riding a bike not equipped with the tires for that stuff, fell, and separated his shoulder. So we had to look for emergency medical help. We chose a small urgent care office (everyone in masks but otherwise, yes, half the people in the waiting room could have been sick). We then had to go to an orthopedist. That involved being in a room with people waiting to blood work, some of it COVID-related.
- Bottom line -- we are now waiting to see if, despite masks and gloves and avoiding sitting on anything without a paper cover on it -- we have contracted the virus. Keeping our fingers crossed.

@Katmary71 I'm so excited, I've never met anyone who has similar physical obstacles to working out but actually does it! Yes, please post some of your favorites, I'd love that! Arm cardio is really intriguing to me- I'm not sure if I could do legs. I'd have to check out the video to know. A bit more about my conditions so you have a better idea:
I had back surgery a long time ago before I was diagnosed with Ehlers-danlos syndrome (EDS), which causes joint pain in my shoulders, wrists, fingers, knees, ankles- basically, my joints aren't super stable. Some hip impingement, labral tears, bursitis, and tendonitis. Then the freaking nerve pain, which is the worst kind of chronic pain I have: small fiber neuropathy in my feet and pelvic pain from some botched endometriosis surgeries that severed some nerves. So I just hurt all the time (I feel like the entire lower half of my body's anthem is Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire" lol!). It makes it tough to do regular exercise, but I know I need to do SOMETHING. I used to love doing step aerobics and I miss those days. I think any kind of arm cardio would be good except for yoga- my doctors say no yoga, ever, because my joints will be damaged by hyperextending. I cannot even believe you got in your 10,000 'steps' like that- genius!
Have you found your anti-inflammatory diet is helping the nerve pain at all? I did paleo for 3 years, then keto for 2 hoping for less pain, but my body wasn't having it.
@MommaGemz Amazing weight loss so far!
@gwamajtw91 Slow and steady is all we need, the important thing is the scale is moving in the right direction! I had guessed your screen name read "Gwama" like a kids way of saying Grandma- I'm not good at decoding screen names lol.
@AustinRuadhain First, I am so sorry to hear about your husband's injury and I can only imagine how nervewracking it must have been to have to get medical care. Hoping you both test negative! Second, thank you for the Tiny Habits info, I may look into that further. What kind of literary conference was it?1 -
@AustinRuadhain --- I will keep my fingers crossed for your health as well.0
-
@AustinRuadhain I was about to send out a search party for you!
I am so sorry to hear about your husband’s accident and I will be praying that neither of you catches the virus or anything else! That is good news that the big project is just about done how awesome that you even lost weight while going through so much stress.
@gwamajtw91 Yayyy on the weight loss this week and you just keep up the great work and you will see the 160’s before you know it!
@MommaGemz What a great weigh-in!! What are doing so right that you can share with the of us?
@GabiV125 I hope those terrible nightmares end and that you will enjoy your DH’s birthday.
@Hilogirl2018 Yes Gin’s first book Delay, Don’t Deny is a great book and the first one I read too. Her new one has lots more content with the latest data on IF. I really recommend it! I’m glad that you found the perfect IF timing for you. I’m still trying to find mine.
Hi Team! Well, last night went really well with the kids at church. We had 8 of them and I was very impressed with how well behaved they were for most of the hour. I even got to play with Play-Doh!!
Today, was my staff meeting, and then the pastor took us all out to lunch. I had the salad and not the big juicy burger that I wanted. But I did just come from doing a favor for a friend who paid me in homemade bread and peach jelly. Hubby and I just had some for an after-dinner snack and it was sooo good. Not good for my low carb eating but totally worth the splurge.
4 -
@MommGemz - that trend looks great! Well done!
@AustinRuadhain - wishing your husband a speedy recovery from his injury (that sounds painful!) and hoping that you managed to avoid the virus!

I'm happy with my progress this week. I haven't done as much exercise as I'd have liked (being an accountant, the end/beginning of months are hectic at work and I am exhausted when I get home - that's an excuse, and something I will be working on in the future) but I have been tracking daily and have been more aware of my food choices and portion sizes so I have been running at a deficit so I'm proud of my efforts there this week. And it looks like it is showing on the scale so I'm happy with that too. I am starting to think that maybe I can do this after all. Here's to another good week next week!3 -
@raleighgirl09 I thought I ran off on tangents, what the heck is FrankTV and what am I missing? I totally agree with you about it even though I don't know what it is! @Katmary71 Hahah, Frank TV is when he's in Morehead City and I am in Raleigh. He's decided he wants to stay there as much as possible because he loves being there (we have a small place there, it's where we want to retire) and always misses it. He talks about moving there - before I can. I miss him when he's there but I support him doing what he wants to do. So - we have an echo show at each place and we have discovered it's kinda neat to leave it on and we can chat or not, do out computer things, look up and say hi....=> I call it Frank TV. There's a picture below!
Yeah, I agree - you have to be happy with yourself and also recognize when someone else is asking or may ask too much. Like you - I don't have a lot of patience for the kind of chatter that is a never ending loop.

Week 1 weigh in Thursday (03Sep2020)
Previous weight:171.5
Current weight: 172.7
LTD MFP #2 62.3 lbs
LTD overall 127.3 lbs
Oh, I **really** hate moving the LTD numbers backwards! I've been not weighing because with eating a lot of higher sodium choices and driving on Tuesday for 3 hours, I knew it would be up. Three pounds from 169.9 is not huge but I don't want it to the slippery slope! Some really good habits have not been happening - namely, pre-planning and cooking food. That and logging, especially ahead of time, are some of the really strong habits for success for me. Then, avoiding high sodium and drinking lots of water! I'll be home for a week so I am going to work on a pound or two of this before next Thursday's weigh in!
Excellent weigh ins and WAY TO GO @TwistedSassette @MommaGemz @gwamajtw91 !!! You guys ROCK!
@Katmary71 wow, I bet the chicken was great, I love chipotle peppers, awesome stuff! I hate it when I find a fave has an aspect I don't want to indulge in - I bet one recipe will not be a deal breaker. You have done well so far!
@hilogirl2018 welcome and - we share many of the same points for success! Glad you made your way backa nd then found F2F!!
3 -
@Hilogirl2018 Wow, we're soul sisters! Aside of my back fusions I had surgery at 24 for endometriosis that resulted in 5 burned nerves, bladder, and bowel damage. Long story short doctors think he turned the laser too high and the nerves tried to conduct electricity and were fried. I was bedridden on a ton of meds for 20 years then got fed up with pain clinics and went off of them. I was doing better until this year. Some suspect CRPS (that it was in remission for a few years and came back worse than ever) but I won't know until I go through all the medical hoops.
Here's my arm cardio playlist, the hip hop and dance routines I'm mostly doing seated, they're active enough that even that way it's not a bad workout. The first one and the AimToWalk one are my two favorites, I like shorter videos as it feels like I accomplish more. Claudia Jordan has chair workouts too. My favorite seated videos that include legs and can be modified are by KymNonStop, I'll post my favorite by her next.

The anti-inflammatory diet is helping but I started supplements at the same time as well. It's going real slow and I keep doing more than one thing at once so I don't know what is and isn't helping. I'm doing too much cardio so I'll have to take it easy tomorrow, the pelvic nerves are mad at getting overheated (of course the legs love heat). I'm going to try icing while I work out tomorrow.

@Katmary71 and @TwistedSassette
I do go to the gym with my dad. He moved in with me in Nov 2019. He wants to drive and work, but he was diagnosed with Major Cognitive Disorder (dementia) earlier this year. If we don’t go to the gym every day, he starts asking for his keys. When he asks for his keys, we go through the whole conversation about why he can’t drive which includes him explaining to me that the Neurologist only has an opinion and can’t keep him from driving. He’s going to call the police and have me arrested for trying to steal his car (which he has called the police in the past). It’s emotionally exhausting. So, I am highly motivated to get us to the gym to avoid having that conversation. Although we usually have it at least once a day anyway. He’s trying to find a job.
@AustinRuadhain Wow. I am so sorry to hear about your husband’s shoulder! Hopefully you did not come in contact with anything contagious.
Y’all. Things have really sucked here. Yesterday was a crap day. Dad was hard. Mom was needy. My husband basically ignored me. The 3 yr old cried and tantrumed all the way home from preschool and then was cranky most of the night, including at least 5 potty misses and a night time bed wetting. The 8yr old is peeing in the playroom again. I had to pick the teenager up from the school counselor because she made threats about suicide and cutting herself (we have her seeing a psychiatrist and psychologist regularly). I didn’t get to read the “assignement” where she wrote all this… it’s evidence with the school police right now. Also, the counselor informed me that they are required to contact CPS. So yay. I wish I knew what to do for her. I hate watching her struggle. I wish she could see that she’s amazing and I love her. Being a teenager sucks and being the mother of a teenager is hard too. Many times it feels like there is just not enough of me to go around. This season of life is hard.
But, before all that storm broke, I had already decided that it was going to be my first fast. I stopped eating at 1:30pm and then broke fast at 9am this morning. I did a CRAP evening without emotionally eating. And I lost 6lbs my first week back.

@BethB554 Oh I am so very sorry that you are going through so much right now in your family life. Especially with your daughter. I had the same issues with my daughter when she was a teenager and I know how very frustrating and helpless you feel in trying to get her to see herself the way you see her. Just keep showing her lots of love. How wonderful that you managed all you had going on and didn’t give into emotional eating. That is a HUGE victory for you!! And wayyyy to go on losing 6 lbs. in your first week. Now, just keep it up and continue to take care of yourself as you are taking care of all those around you.

@trooworld Yeah getting to be a kid again is my favorite part of hanging out with them. I do have to remember that I’m supposed to be the grown-up and not be an instigator. Which believe it or is very hard for me!
The bread and jelly were delicious. I had a slice today when I broke my fast because my dinner was very low carb today. The rest has been given to my very grateful DH. Keep drinking that water!! Especially if you are going to eat high sodium foods like frozen pizza.
Hi everyone! Today, was a chill day at home. I did a good long workout and cleaned my bathroom. I fasted for 21 hours and for dinner I made a low carb pizza casserole that had turkey Italian sausage, Rao’s sauce (which is the BEST), lots of veggies and of course cheese! My mom and DH loved it too and didn’t even miss the bread. We have been dealing with little gnats in the house and today I figured out that they have infested three of my house plants. So, the plants are outside until those little buggers fly away or get eaten by something bigger.

Here is a question for you all. What are you going to do this weekend to help you stay on track? For many of us, this is a holiday weekend as well. So, my plan is to continue the goals I have set for myself. My body doesn't know its the weekend so there will be NO slacking off.

@BethB554 I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's diagnosis and challenges, you're an amazing daughter to help him out like you do. Sounds like you have your hands full with everything. I wish I had advise for you, you're in my prayers and I'm sending healing light to your daughter. I was a troubled teen, it's hard to explain when you're in it because everything is so overwhelming but she does know in her heart how much you love her and are there for her. I wish the love of family could be enough.
Well gang, tough day, just in a lot of pain and my insurance is denying all the referrals so I can't see specialists or get medication after waiting months to jump through hoops. Tomorrow will be better but I have a lot to do somehow.2 -

@Katmary71 We seriously have such similar issues! I'm so sorry. I've had 8 endo surgeries and only recently discovered that nerve damage could occur as a result- finally, I know why I ended up in chronic pelvic pain *after* my first surgery. Thank you for the playlists, I'm going to try them with my daughter today!0

I'm going to check in twice today: this is my a.m. post saying I'm feeling a bit disappointed in myself for opening up my eating window early (I usually IF 16:8). I had two link sausages- only 113 calories total, so not a big deal- but it was too early. For some reason, I was really hungry, when skipping breakfast is normally what makes me feel best. I even woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and was surprised at how hungry I was! Weird. Anyway, I worry it's a bad sign that I'll get out of control at some point today, so I'm going to post again later to be accountable. Hopefully, I can report that I made it through the day successfully! Wish me luck...2 -
@Hilogirl2018 Wow, that's a lot of pelvic surgery! I only had one more (had another lap for gallbladder) after being injured in my first. Crazy that it injured me more than a 2 day inter body double back fusion! The internet was pretty young when I was injured but between other people being injured by my surgeon then others who were injured from pelvic surgery I found some support. The latter was a small group and they all committed suicide or died right away which was tough. Congratulations on your weight loss! Some days I believe the body just needs more food but I've noticed I'll eat more when I'm off my schedule. I'm drinking extra coffee to not eat until noon! I hope you like some of the videos! I seriously have a ton of low impact, seated, and strength plus lots of dance if you need more. Check out Body Groove too, I love Another One Bites the Dust, you get a couple dance moves then strut around and freestyle while doing them. That would be a blast with a kid, my cats follow me all over when I do it!
