Total weight lost 67.8 lbs, 14.2 lbs to my revised goal. I am aware that a good chunk of the recent loss is water weight from 11 days of keto though it doesn't stop me smiling 😊2 -

Week one done!
How's everyone feeling/doing? Any plans to make week 2 a successful one?
I've plan ed out my meals for the week and scheduled in my exercises. Currently cooking a Balti and the flat smells amazing. Did an insane workout this morning called 'load and explode' so much fun but so far above my current fitness level, cant move now tomorrow morning may well be a challenge!
Need to do a bit of planningfor an early morning class I've got tomorrow but otherwise I'm horizontal on the sofa for the rest of the day..... not spending money or overeating makes my life boring.... but a weekend of battery recharging was much needed!4 -
I have been thinking about making minor changes to my food allowance and/or workouts.
I was surprised I did not hit the one pound goal weight loss this week (although I came close) as I have been eating perfectly and working out.
I will go one more week with the workouts coming back on line with my trainer MWF and see where I end up on Sunday.
If next Sunday I don’t hit at least a pound, I may have to go to daily working out instead of three trainer sessions and a treadmill session each week.
Also I can cut down from 1293 to 1250 to start.
I have a 70 week plan and really want to come very close to hitting that.4 -

Hi everyone!!!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!!!
I started today with a 5 mile run/walk. Came back home and hubby and I moved furniture from 2 bedrooms then removed carpet and pad. We are taking a break before going back and pulling up all the staples from the floor. We are doing what we can ourselves so that we can have extra work done due to the great flood of 2020.
I have learned today that my running days are over. This makes me so sad. In May of 2019, I injured my back while out of the country and did not receive proper medical care for 10 days. The after effects of this injury have appeared each time I have tried to increase my runs. After mile 3, I realized that I could no longer tippy toe on my left foot. If you can't tippy toe, you can't propel yourself forward.
Guess I will become one heckuva walker!!!7 -

Sorry to hear about the running @Beka3695
Got to be honest @kilobykilo I'm in a groove and don't want to change anything. I have the same boredem issue so I am going running shoe on-line shopping. I might post some shoe-porn shortly!0 -
I'm on vacation from job 1 this week so i won't be around much but I wanted to share this

I’ve decided to make a small, non weight related goal each week to be healthier. This week my goal is to practice 10 minutes of self care each day. I’ve also had the goal this previous week to start each day off with fruit.5 -

Maintenance Zone
This week I successfully got back on the exercise habit, exercised every day. I still need to work on my sleep. Have been staying up late for no good reason, and then am tired in the morning and hit snooze until the last possible moment.
Had a lovely weekend - a day trip kayaking in nature. It's something I really enjoy, but don't get to do often due to expense and challenge of getting to the location etc. A NSV is that my body recovers so well from it now. About a year ago there would be a lot of generalised muscle soreness after spending a couple hours paddling, but this time round I was fine.2 -

Hi everyone, hope all are okay?
Super usy second week back at work after the holidays.... wasnt up to full speed last week but this one is mad. Working from home tomorrow so will hopefully catch up on some admin.
On plan with food and exercise including a super early pre work workout this morning that I didnt enjoy but well happy I got it done.
Not sleeping well this week but hope tonight will be the night!
@Luciicul your weekend sounds lovely. And what a fab NSV!
@iamworthy14 whoooop! No looking back indeed
@boehle I'm still trying to get skinny for the first time 🤣 hope your vacation from one job means you're chilling a little this week
@wwood008 I love your plan of action, well done!
@TheMrWobbly yeah to the groove, long may it continue!2 -
Did I have a perfect Holiday weekend? NOPE!!!
I went to the birthday party Saturday and ate a little of everything. Logged it! Went over calories and enjoyed every bite
Sunday, I started my day with a 5 mi run/walk. Came home and moved furniture and pulled out carpet. Had lunch at Waffle House. I had steamed hashbrown, bacon and eggs. We had burgers for dinner. Higher cal than usual but not bad. Logged it!
Monday - we had lunch with my parents. My mom could boil a rock and make it taste good. Lunch alone was 600 cal. The stress from this weekend started getting to me. I almost drank but didn’t. I had a nice cry and then ate my feelings. Logged it!
Today - I have eaten a few feelings. I have not logged all, but after this post, I will.
As for the aggravation of my old injury... yeah it sucks. I’m limping horribly. I’m sure this has added to my funk.
I AM DETERMINED THAT TOMORROW WILL BE DIFFERENT!!!!!! I will be back on my MIF plan and will be within my caloric range.6 -
Hey @beka3695 well done on the accountability, your weekend sounds perfectly balanced to be honest, well done for getting it all logged and to committing to getting back on track
I really hope your back heals soon
Hugs xxx1 -
I'm struggling. I haven't logged any food in a few weeks. I've lost all energy to plan smart meals or eat vegetables. My stomach feels like a bottomless pit that's just always hungry. My weight is back to square one and I'm too upset to even open Happy Scale to see the trendweight damage. Everything is sore from not getting enough movement and activity. I haven't been to the gym in weeks. I'm stressed out at work. My mental state is so frazzled I feel like I'm doing a bad job and not getting my job actually done. Even my apartment is a total mess. It's been raining pretty much non-stop for a week and it's sunny right now but I have to work, and it should start raining again by the time I get off work. It's only September and sun is starting to set before 8pm, we still have 3,5 more months of getting darker and colder and wetter before it starts to get better.
The only upside is that I know the weight is bloat for the most part, since my body fat seems to be down and my fingers specifically feel bloated (I've been fat-heavier than this and my rings never were so tight). At the end of August I got a body composition test done at work and it showed my visceral fat was at a healthy level. Since that's the most dangerous kind of fat, I'm really happy about the result. Even the test showed I'm extra bloated.
Next couple of weeks my goal is to just get back on track. Log food, get enough activity to feel good in my body, find a way to reduce this bloat somehow, find some inner balance. A colleague even recommended some meditation videos that he said were hugely helpful for him. He said he thought it's some hippie bull**** at first but tried it and it really helped, so I'm intrigued since we're usually on the same level of sensibilities about this kind of stuff.
The overwhelming majority of my colleagues are 40-something men. Most of them also do some sports. Most of them gained some lockdown weight, and since they're all so similar, they have no problem talking about their bodies and dieting at work. I'm uncomfortable in partaking in that conversation, but I listen. My boss has lost 20lbs since the beginning of July, and according to him the only thing he's done is split portion sizes in half and then wait 15 minutes before taking more food if he's still hungry. I was sitting there and just thinking "how????? does he not get hungry and destroy the world????". If weight loss was that easy for everyone, we'd all be in our goal weights.
Sorry for the rant, I really need to get this off my chest and try to find myself back into the right path.6 -

Hi. I totally get what you're saying- I was that way when the stupid COVID started. I ate my way through March & April, but then decided enough was enough and reset.
Maybe you could start getting your water in- that definitely helps to unbloat. Small steps? Just try 1 thing for a week so you don't overwhelm yourself. Try to start tracking and getting that water in.
Hugs♥️♥️♥️1 -
@hipari you have done this, you know how it works, what it takes, comparison is the killer of happiness, be you, you are awesome2
-
@hipari I feel your pain. Sometimes the world is just overwhelming and figuring out your next step feels impossible.
A couple years ago I wrote a letter to a friend who was in a funk and couldn’t figure things out.... I gave the best advice I could. I waited 24 hours and read the letter again - because I wrote it to me! You are always harder on yourself than you would ever be someone else. Maybe ask yourself what you would advise a friend in the same situation.
If you need me, I am here!!!! XOXO!!!

Accountability check in
I stepped on the scales today and +3 lbs up from Saturday. I know some is bloat, sodium, blah blah... some is the result of bad choices. Time to H2O up!!!
I am currently meal planning for the remainder of the week. I am having to take an extra had in helping the kiddos this week - so I’m in charge of their food, too! Guess what, MORE VEGGIES!!5 -

You never need to apologise to rant, this is your safe space.
I hear so much of what you're saying.... I've been out of it for months telling myself daily I'd be back to logging, I'd be back to running, I'd stop snack etc but without really meaning it so defo without following through.
I spent two weeks of august living off takeouts and wine and it was seeing a number bigger than I had in a couple of years alongside feeling fat again that shocked me into wanting action. I took baby steps for a couple of weeks before I was ready to be fully back.
I hope your post is the start of your journey back so you can feel happier in your own skin again.
Maybe start by popping in here each day just to say hi if you cant face logging everything yet.
Do you have any indoor exercise you could do? I've joined an online home workout programme and it's working out great so far as there's loads of support and I can fit it in anytime and in any weather..... I'll never join a gym and I'm no good at team sports so this was a great find for me, but your thing might be different.
Maybe also focus on self care before food and exercise too much. Take care of you, a bit if pampering, an early night, some real you time.... it's easier said than done but love yourself first xxx1 -
