I ate a lot of sodium over the last couple days and went over my calories budget on Saturday, so I’m actually pleased to have stayed steady. I’m loving this fall weather but my Fitbit doesn’t think working in the garden counts as very much exercise 😏 It doesn’t count the gym either, so what does it know!

September goal is keep doing what I got started on a few weeks ago - helping out with the barn chores and/or riding 5 days/week (in addition to my normal activities).

This has given me 2.5-4 hours of activity a day compared to sitting around most of the time.

My body is still in a bit of rebellion I believe though, and the scale is taking its time dropping, but it's also been difficult to manage my hangries LOL. And while my weight isn't dropping like I had hoped, it is stabilizing, so that tends to precede a drop. We shall see lol.

Good thing is I am sure the activity will pay off longer term, PLUS, I've been sleeping WAY better.

FMLA has brought me to a better place. I love making breakfast and eating with my daughter, being able to pack lunch for my man and sending him off with a kiss.
Taking morning OTF and starting the day right, going for daily walks with my kids during lunch etc.

I can see she's doing well with her online IEP and started to open up to classmates and teachers.
Hope this trend continues and that she get's even better!

Hello again. So I started the July thread after a long absence and then promptly disappeared again. Mind simply just not in it, as much as I wanted it to be. This week I've started logging again, and food really has been my biggest downfall. And finding time with work to log on to the forum is challenging as generally I cannot be bothered to turn on my laptop at home and it just doesn't work that well on the phone.

I'm too heavy, I weighed in at 174.2lbs this morning, though I know I'm bloated right now (I swear it's the fibre intake which has skyrocketed!). Birthday now out the way (almost two weeks ago), time to care about myself. I am exercising more and generally being better, though it feels like a slow transition. Been back in the office since the middle of July so the walks to & from work are helping too.

    Height: 5'10"
    HW: 183lbs (Fri 24th March 2017)
SW Sep 2020: 174.2lbs (16th Sep weigh in)

In the last few years there have been a few references to Strong Curves on these threads and I wondered if anyone is following that or has followed that?

I was so shocked and happy that I almost fell off the scale. I got off and on a couple times just to make sure it wasn’t an accident. I guess the sodium finally cleared my system. Yay!

Welcome back @rianneonamission ! Haven't heard of Strong Curves but sounds good. Do you follow that program? @KelseyRL Nice to meet you too! I go to OTF and when it was closed and did the home workouts, its still available. I think they post every day. You should check it out, it's free.
@Cora0477 Good job!! Happy for you! Keep it going!!

I am trying to sculpt my mid section. Starting to see some definition.... Long waaaay to go.
WIll take pic at the end of the month.

Hey @rianneonamission , how’s things! It seems a few people from a few years ago have popped up! As for Strong Curves, I have the book and have attempted to work through it a time or two but never stuck with it. It’s a good program but even the at-home section needs a decent amount of equipment and for me personally, I find a do best in a class or with a video. Videos feel more like a class than following a written out workout and for me it does help my motivation. It is a good program though so if those issues aren’t big deals for you I’d recommend checking it out!

Hello @weatherking2019 , nice to meet you as well! I love OTF! I did the at-home workouts for a bit but I signed up for a free trial of Centr around the same time and found I preferred Centr for at-home videos. And the year subscription was about half of what I was paying for a month at OTF so it seemed reasonable to try out. I do miss OTF classes though. They were set up in a way that I went 4x a week, without fail, and always thoroughly enjoyed them! If I end up paying for a membership to an actual gym again, it will definitely be them! Good luck on your sculpting goals!

It has been a solid 5 months or so but I'm feeling fat and posting here has always helped me with weight management/accountability. I was training for a half marathon in October, but between a knee injury and the race getting pushed into 2021, I have slacked off quite a bit. Not just with my running but also my diet. My husband also turns into a baby whenever I say no to eating out. I wish could count on him to help me stay accountable too. Before the race was pushed back, I started my race diet which was simply not eating out, and he was constantly asking me to get Taco Bell with him. After I said no he would say he forgot I was dieting -_- Anywayyy.. rant over.

Hi All. Eldercare duties have kept me hunkered down but hope you all are doing well. @rianneonamission - I’ve run two Strong Curves programs and really like it. It’s a glute-focused program so some may feel it doesn’t have enough upper body work so they add some in. I’m running another similar program now - written by the same author of SC. The group is still active - @sardelsa has been my go-to person on all things SC. Of course it’s mostly diet, but I started at 147, with a goal weight of 135, then 130, then 129.anything (haha), then 125, and reached 119 today - my high school weight and I’m 56!

What are your goals. Because I’ve been in a deficit, I did not gain much muscle, just lost a lot of inches and fat, but was able to grow a tiny bit.

    Best of luck!

Hello back all! (And special hello to @Antiopelle, I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling)

I've been on a much needed and awesome vacation for the past 3 weeks. It was paradigm shifting-life changing-great, but as a downside I didn't do any fasting (not even the regular 16:8), no workouts, and I pigged out completely (especially with sugar/carbs). So, stepping on the scale yesterday I was walloped in the face by a whopping 72.3kg!!!. That's... pretty much what I started with 2 years ago so: well done me. I also clearly notice it in the mirror and one of the shorts that I had packed didn't fit me anymore... nice.

I started myself off with a 24h fast and will now follow up with a few keto days.

    LAST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER GOALS
    1. Get back below 70kg (altho not sure that's feasible with only 8 days left this month)
    2. No alcohol, no sugar

Thanks for the feedback on strong curves! It's something I've been interested in but never actually tried, but with my current reluctance to go back to the gym (because UK COVID numbers are growing rapidly) I thought now may be a good time. We have a proper weight bench and adjustable dumbells at home, so we're not low on equipment. I have resistance bands too. My thing is that I am a fairly straight build so I'd like to curve myself up a bit.

Weight seems to have been annoyinly steady but, with the exception of last night, I've actually been good. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's weigh in.

A slow start but given that shark week is due any day now I will take the half a lb as a strong win. Gutted the weather has turned though, it’s going to make runs a bit trickier to plan.

24 September: 71kg - A good result after 1 day fast en 2 days keto (okay, they weren't strict keto, but still low-carb). Since I was overloaded with carbs and sugar, it's going swimmingly without any cravings at all. Did my regular workout yesterday and MAN I felt it... So weird how your body can get un-used to stuff so quickly.

Not sure if I'll be able to drop a full pound in just 3 days but I'm pledging to make good food choices and not drink soda. This weekend was all bad food to celebrate my husband's birthday. I think the weight will bounce right off as soon as I get the eating out back under control. I already felt a lot better last week after just cutting out soda and doing a (loose) 16:8 IF.

    My goals this month:

    1. Stay off the sugar. I've done well this last week, so I'll try to stay on this momentum.
    2. Current weight: 74.0 - goal weight by the end of the month: 72.0.
    3. Get my weekly steps back to at least 70K /week

    Monday 7th : still 74.0
Monday 14th : 75.9 - which I know to be a glitch, but still :confounded:

Apart from the weight, there finally is a lot of good news to share (after months of pain and misery).

    1. The border with the dive spots is open again ! Hurray !! I can go diving again.
    2. Diving is not as normal, as hubbie had to do A LOT by himself to get me into the water: load and unload the car, prepare and disassemble my set, get me in and out my suit, get my hair into a ponytail (hihi), etc... but once in the water I was fine as all gravity went away and it actually did some good to my shoulder pain. I swear hubbie is a saint !
    3. Now that the dive areas are green again, we booked an impromptu holiday, we are leaving on Friday for one week in our usual cabin. Hurray, our first holiday of this year !
    4. Hubbie has taken up running again and he is losing weight and he tries to eat healthier, which will certainly help me as well.

28/09 update: first of all, superhappy to see that @l4a_p is back again !

As for myself, I let myself go these last 10 days of holidays. Hubbie did his running and I'm proud of him. I did some diving but I am still restricted by my shoulder (appointment with another specialist on Thursday), so it was all easy going. And I felt more than tired so I slept a lot. The result on the scale this morning is desastrous, but I'm feeling confident that it is a lot of bloating also. Bottomline is that only one pair of jeans still fit me, so I really need to kick into gear or nothing will fit me anymore. I'm sorry for the spam girls, but I'll be posting here daily again.

Current weight: 76.6 - still can't believe it

    1. Get back below 70kg (altho not sure that's feasible with only 8 days left this month)
    2. No alcohol, no sugar

    WEIGHT
    21 September: 72.3kg
    22 September: 71.7kg
    24 September: 71kg
    25 September: 70.3kg
    28 September: 71.4kg
29 September: 71.4kg - Another great keto day yesterday and yet no movement on the scale this morning... Super odd but guess I'll just have to be patient :)

You'll get there ! We know how this works, just be patient indeed xxx
