Hi group! Busy week -some stress at work -we had to let someone go from our team. For my bday next week I ordered a new mediation mat and pillow-going to get back into Kundalini-mind, body & soul. I also have had some success with Physio -my pain has been decreasing which opens the door for more physical activity. I didn’t get started on that goal this week, and I was hard on myself for that - it on the bright side I have really been solidifying my changes to date. Will begin with exercise this weekend and into next week -my goal is to do one act this weekend and 2 next week. The Saxenda has been going well -I’m up to 2.4 mg... a touch of nausea but otherwise really helps with appetite control.

    Woo hoo!!! Amazing loss!

@Beka3695 @boehle sorry for skipping last week and being MIA, please carry my previous weigh-in for last week. This is for today (Nov 15).

Sorry everyone, I've been out for a while now. Some of you may remember all the deep s**t I was in last winter with work exhaustion and burnout symptoms, I ended up leaving the group for a few months to deal with all of that and catch up with my (mental) health. Well, my job and my relationship with my boss (the CEO) is sometimes weird as hell - nothing inappropriate, there's a deep mutual respect but we've been working together for a long time and gone through some serious s**t together.

In the last couple of weeks we resumed the discussion of these issues after pausing it for about 8 months, and I've been spiraling while trying to figure our how I feel about things, including some huge career-altering decisions I'm faced with. At least I'm losing weight since I've lost my appetite and can't really sleep well. A close friend who's also a former colleague (=knows what my boss is like) is coming over tonight to help me figure things out, and hopefully next week I can reach some kind of resolution with my boss about how to move forward.

On top of all this work stuff, our move-in date for our new apartment was confirmed, so I'm dealing with the bank to close mortgage papers, the landlady for our current apartment, hiring movers and preparing the logistics. It's a lot. I'm excited about the move finally happening, but... yeah, it's a lot, and everything is happening at the same time again.

About the work stuff: we started talking about my exhaustion and overload exactly 11 months ago (I checked) when a close colleague of mine quit unexpectedly, I realized my only support at work was leaving and the situation sent me to 2 days of pretty much uncontrollable crying at work - since my boss was (and is) pretty deep in his own s**t both at work and in his personal life, he hadn't realized there was a problem before that happened. We talked about it, agreed on some steps to make the situation better and ease my workload, and then the discussion was paused for 2 months (various reasons) and resumed in February. A lot of things were said and we started scratching the surface of the real issues. Then came covid, and the discussion was again paused as we went into remote work and crisis management mode. This is where we've stayed for a good 8 months, until I brought it up again around the end of October. To his credit, he realized we'll never find time to talk about things properly during workdays without interruptions and schedule conflicts, so he suggested dinner and it was scheduled for this Wednesday. I was stressing about it all last week because I knew the discussion wouldn't be easy and I'd have to face some big demons. The dinner discussion was.... unexpected and sent me spiraling, and I haven't really slept or eaten normally since the dinner on Wednesday as I've been trying to explain to him the underlying problems and figure out how I feel about the huge career-altering choices and suggestions he gave me (again, nothing inappropriate, just very big career moves). Writing is a good way for both of us to express things, so that's what I've been doing. On Wednesday night until 3AM, on Thursday until midnight, and I've had my laptop open pretty much all weekend and I'm going back and forth processing things in my head and writing them down. To make things weirder, the board of directors had a meeting on Friday, and being their secretary is a part of my job; I'm present in the meetings, take notes, write all official documents, take care of scheduling, and also prepare the regular status update presentations the board is given, including the CEO reports. Well, this time he had prepared some initiatives about next year on his own, and he included things there that I know he wouldn't have normally, and they were pretty much direct answers to our discussion. So yeah, things at work are weird when my boss communicates his plans and promises to me via official initiatives to the board of directors (=his boss), knowing that I'm listening. It's actually a genius move on his part: since he's making those initiatives and promises to the board, he knows that I know it's taken seriously and the board will make him keep his word. Doesn't make things any less weird, though.

    Amazing week!!!! Way to go

I was getting so irritated with the scale lol. I have a snickers in my drawer at work that I would NOT let myself eat because I’ve been stuck at the same weight. This week, I’ll cut it in half and eat half of it tomorrow and the second half on Wednesday 😜

Amazing job everyone!!! That’s two great weeks in a row for our team!

I’m back to work tomorrow after a week off, so I’m looking forward to getting back to routine. I need to make my breakfasts for the week tonight, and I want to make a meatloaf and portion it out. I also decided to up my morning swim from 3 days/week to all 5 work days!! I’ve been swimming for a month now, and I found the 5:30am wake up wasn’t as terrible as I thought. I’ve been *loving* my morning swims, so it was an easy decision. The only thing that sucks is I’ve been looking for a second bathing suit suitable for lap swimming, and man is it hard to find plus size athletic wear... I get it, but at the same time, I don’t get it. I did find one, but it’s a good size smaller than I need, so I bought it for when I get there. I hope my current one will tide me over till I fit in my new one...

Good morning. This week will be a hit or miss with me popping in. I'm off my main job but I'm picking up hours at my other job, and my boyfriend is coming down from CT Friday.
