I am from Texas. I teach 2nd grade self contained due to Covid. I normally am a Math and Science teacher. I started the year out as remote. I am currently teaching remote and classroom together.

    Hello,
I'm in Texas also and I'm Instructional Tech Specialist. This is my first year out of the classroom and I not walking around my room daily is killing my activity level. I'm here to get repaired!

I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and am a High School Instructional Coach, but am certified to teach ELA 6-12. We have been virtual since March 2020 and I am finding working from home to be killing my weight loss plans. I hope everyone else is managing this crazy times and I was super happy to see this group!

Great!! I’m so glad you are here.

This group is a work in progress. I’ve never started a group so feel free to bring up anything you want.

I agree teaching remote is so hard. I am not used to sitting so much.

    Thanks for joining!!

Hi everyone! I am a third-grade reading teacher by day and an adult ESL/CIVICS instructor by night. I thought working from home would help me lose weight, but it has not. The sitting down has weakened my core muscle and extensive walking causes spasms in my lower back due to a lack of strength from my core. I am going to turn that around. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I'm from Fond du Lac, WI (just a bit north of our friend from Milwaukee!). I teach chemistry at Fond du Lac High School. This is my first group with My Fitness Pal, and I look forward to working with everyone. Prior to the pandemic, I was using Noom and having a lot of luck with it. Then when we went virtual last spring, I bounced back to my peak weight. Six weeks ago I went back to counting calories.

Fondy is currently in a hybrid model spending Monday and Tuesday with a group of students and Thursday Friday with a different group. I'm really nervous for January 11th because the school board will be holding a vote to determine if we go back 5 days a week, so I'm hoping they keep the status quo until we get the vaccine.

Welcome!! I tried Noom over the summer - but didn’t see a lot of success. I know it’s me not the program.

My district is full remote until Jan 25. Our board will be meeting in the next few weeks to decide what to do for 3rd quarter. It makes me nervous!!

Glad you are here. This is the first group I’ve started. I’m no expert. Just wanted to meet some like minded people and share our experiences.

Hello! I can definitely relate. I had a Fitbit which helped to remind me to be active. Recently, in the past two weeks, I've switched to the Apple Watch and it is great and not as invasive as my Fitbit. I am up moving much more than I had been. I also use this clock too as a reminder, and it increases my productivity! https://52-17.com/

I teach at a small parochial school in Milwaukee, WI.
5th and 6th grade, all subjects.
We've been in person for the entire school year, I've had a few virtual learners over the course of the year due to COVID cases in families.

Hi! I'm a middle school principal at a small, rural school in Missouri. I taught mostly math for 15 years and have been principal in this school for 13 years. I have about 180 students in grades 6-8. Our students were able to choose virtual or face-to-face instruction. My teachers are teaching 1-4 virtual kids and 15-20 F2F kids simultaneously for most of their day.
