I was in the office yesterday packing up for our movd.....walked the hallways for some exercise. Sad to be leaving the building of 22 years, but a new adventure awaits!

Karen I so get it. We moved our courthouse a few years ago. And now our new Sgt. is moving everything around. Be glad to leave in 4 years.

Working out with the Bow Flex and some cardio tonight. About 15 minutes of one of the YouTube workouts above and another 20 of weights.

I gave an older friend (75yr) a ride to a medical appointment yesterday and she talked about having high bone strength despite a genetic proclivity for osteoporosis. Apparently she had been building a deck a decade ago, and her doctor said that kind of weight-bearing exercise can make a difference.

    That hit home for me.
It is so important to start lifting weights again.

Our weight rack and weight bench arrived FINALLY! We ordered it in late March! Everyone in the world ordered weights when covid hit...didn't expect it to take 10 months...but excited!

This is so true. I am glad she gave you a kick in the muscles. I did my Bowflex last night again. Added 2 exercises. Plan on adding some more tonight. Just getting a feel for it. Also don't want it to take an hour. I can squeeze in 30-40 minutes much easier. Can always do more if I feel up to it. ;););)

Post of picture of what you got. That seems way to long a time. Crazy. Rocky is making something out of horse shoes to attach to the wall in order to use bands. Not sure exactly what his goal is but I support any exercising as long as he does it! He wants to work on his shoulders.

I've done TRX suspension body weights the last few days. The straps are hanging on the door to the garage, so I walk by them on the way to the kitchen; or when the news gets to me and I start pacing around the house.

It's easy to stop and do a couple reps. Then it feels good, so I keep going till my arms hurt. B)

Good way to blow off stress too. :)

I like the blowing off steam Paula. Below is a link, if it works, to a weight system I would like someday.

I actually emailed the company to see if this is still available with the same leg extension attachment. And I love the assisted pull ups!

    Shelley,

When our house was destroyed, the firefighters hauled Derek's deluxe Bowflex equipment up to the front yard. It's very similar to the Torque. We tried to give it away, but nothing ever worked out. Wish I could've sent it to you. (It would've been a good excuse for you to visit, right?) Unfortunately now it's been sitting outside for three years and is probably trashed. :'(

Hope you get your dream equipment some day!

I remember that! People are crazy! I have a BowFlex. An older Extreme model. But no assisted pull ups. I am not sure they make the torque model I want anymore. Picky picky. It would have been a great trip. Could have taken it to use at work.

A nasty cold and rainy day in Georgia. Workout was recumbent bike 60 minutes - 14.13 minutes.

I would love the perfect piece of equipment for strength training. That’s what I miss most about Planet Fitness. But my other issue now is space.

We had a beautiful day here in California. We did 4 miles together...it was a fun walk...then I went off and did another 1.43, soooo, 5.43 miles in 108 mins. We were in the 20 miles an hour then I got into the 17 miles an hour when I went off on my own. I was surprised that there weren't too many people out...only a few.

So much cold, thick fog this morning!! We walked to the post office and dropped off our bills. It was cold and windy, but we did it! 6.0 miles in 120 mins!

Way to go Chris! I wasn't feeling well this weekend. So stayed in and read.

Kathy I think the bowflex is one of the best pieces of equipment to save space there is. And you can do a full body workout on them.

I am not in a hurry to get rod of mine. Maybe just upgrade mine to a newer model.

I did 50 minutes on the elliptical yesterday morning while I listened to our virtual church service. That was killing 2 birds with one stone :)

Today I was considering going out walking but it's just too cold lol :) I did a 25 minute YouTube core video, and then a 20 minuteCardio walking video. All in all a pretty good workout :) fact to work now!

    Hope everyone is well!!

Cold rainy morning morning in Georgia. Did the 10,000 steps YouTube video. Loved it because it also included a true workout. I even worked up a sweat. Will definitely do it again when I can’t walk outside. It was fun.

Man! You ladies are killing it! I, on the other hand, did no exercise today. Walking tomorrow, tho. I did change up towels, changed the bed, and did the laundry. :p

You are all killing it. Tonight I will be making a dessert for our monthly lunch at work. So might not get a workout in. Did weights last night. And also any YouTube video you do that you like post it on here. Or in the one I started for that. That way we can all try it.

    Thanks all,

Hey, Chris, it was wonderfully sunny on this side of the Bay too. (If you'all don't know, Chris and I are on opposite sides of San Francisco.) We needed the Vitamin D - Patch cat was blissed out in a sunny spot. Warmed my heart to see him happy.

Just a wee bit upset not to be reporting steps with you'all. But I'm waiting for Covid to end so I can see the doctor about my knee. In the meantime, doing weights.

Paula - I didn't realize you and Chris are neighbors...how cool! Knees are fickle things aren't they? There was that song lyric...something like "you don't respect your knees until you lose them"....isn't that the truth!" Great job persevering with the weights.....!
