THE IDEA LOUNGE
This is where to bring your ideas, suggestions, musings, and ruminations! Everyone in the F2F community is welcome to be heard. What kind of ideas?
Challenges - We have tried several ways to keep fresh and interesting challenges happening every week. The best so far is to gather what everybody thinks would work. Post your ideas, even if they are just sketches. We will collect them all and share the full list to flesh them out and make some really useful and strong challenges. Why challenges? There is nothing better to help keep the energy and commitment high, and the discouragement and staleness low. They are optional but really helpful. Tell us which ones you like, or what new ideas you'd like to see.
Suggestions - this is wide open! What would make F2F better? What bugs you? What works really well? Take some time to look around on other teams than your own, and if you see something you'd like your team to try, suggest it! Or if you think of ways we can improve communication, reward the right kind of progress, or make the community more welcoming and effective. Spill!3 -

I had a big loss last week and maintained the same calories & activity level this week and the scale shows a gain. This is my humble reminder that weight loss is not linear. I will continue to stay the course and trust the process.

Good Morning. I am def in my head this week with work crap.
My biggest account gave us notice last summer that they'd not renew with us... we are still waiting on their ending date. Yesterday I got news that my other account will not either and has set a date of May 31st. I will literally have no accounts for my agents to work... Food hasnt been awful but I have been wanting sweet stuff at night and ate 2 granola bars while in bed last night... We also merge with a new company Monday so that should be a *kitten* show in its self. sigh.. We also had a girl quit Monday night in the pharmacy so they've been wanting me to work more. I need a vacation away from everything.6 -

Team sorry for being late and for pulling the team down! I had a really rough week. I have some back pain from a previous car accident that spiraled into a migraine and now the flu. I really just let go with food and obviously haven't been exercising. I'm disappointed in myself but plan on just accepting where I'm at, letting go and moving forward. Better things for next week.

Boy! We have a lot of crap going on!!! I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA this week. I will likely be in and out for the next couple.
I’m floating down Schitt’s Creek with y’all. My mom is still hospitalized with her broken femur. She will likely be moved to a rehab facility today. She is now exhibiting dementia and seeing people who are not really there.
I binged BIG TIME yesterday. Started with probably 1/4c of chocolate chips then went to cookies. Both are gone now. Thanks to this human garbage disposal!
I am not happy with myself, but I understand why. This just enforces that I’ve lost weight but have not bettered my relationship with food. This is a learning experience!!!9 -
I'm sorry to hear so many difficult things are happening for people. Those difficult times sure do shine the spotlight on areas we can still improve on - but I think it's important to also acknowledge that we can't be perfect, and things will happen in our lives that will take us of our course, and this can be said for ANY ONE! What's important is taking care of yourselves during those times, and finding your way back to the course.5

@boehle and @Beka3695, can I carryover my weight from last week? I've also had some things going on, and am a little off course myself. I'm finding my way back to my course as we speak!
I sincerely hope the lock down in my province will end soon. Pools, in person dining, and visiting with friends and family inside have been illegal for over 6 weeks now. I really, really, really, want to have a good in person visit with my parents (I've had a couple driveway visits with them which was technically illegal before this week, but I really have needed human interaction and there's nothing like the comfort of your parents when you're not feeling well), I want to see my friends, and I want to return to my morning swims. The numbers still aren't great, so I don't know when that'll happen. We're now allowed outside visiting with up to 10 people. Last weekend I met up with some of my girlfriends, and we went for a great walk. But we're about to have some arctic air come into the province, leaving us with highs around -15 Celsius (around 5 degrees Fahrenheit) which makes outdoor gatherings a little harder. At least we haven't had -40 days (which is the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit) yet this winter, but I'm sure that's coming too. Hopefully we'll be allowed inside visits when that happens! LOL No one's visiting outdoors in those deep freeze temps!!
I'm trying hard to not let this all have such an impact on me, but it's a struggle.6 -

I'm disappointed in this number. I thought I had a really good week of eating and exercising. I just have to trust the process and keep going. The weekends always get me. I am going to do my best to just drink water, no alcohol.
I should also accept the fact that as I get smaller the weight loss might not be big numbers. A pound is good. A pound is healthy loss. Ugh. I'm so impatient.

My midweek check in 😊
I went from 130.4 (lower than I expected) to 133.8! Due to lady thangs haha. Anyway, I’m down to 131 still chipping away at that weight gain. It doesn’t always just drop off so easy after TOM does it 🤦🏼♀️ But we don’t give up, we keep going and going week after week until we get there. And even then we have to maintain! It’s a lifestyle now right?!

Things I’ve (re)learned this week: 1. I need to remember the feeling of how bloated I feel when I eat too many carbs. 2. With the right cheese, half a slice can provide as much flavor as a full slice. 3. Calories from butter add up quickly!

I have been walking nearly everyday for an hour -eating, tracking, drinking my water and I feel the output for this .2 was A LOT and took so much focus -feeling frustrated.4
