First month of 2021 is in the books. I’m closing out this month with the needle on my scale moving in the right direction by losing 8.2 pounds this month. I actually lost more this first month of 2021 than I did the whole year of 2020. I’m happy with the weight loss but I’m even more pleased with a non-scale victory (NSV). My NSV is, I got my 1st Covid vaccine this month. No matter where you come down on this NSV. you have to agree we will all be better off when Covid is no longer such a controlling factor in our lives.

Ahhh movement in the right direction! Come on Boulder, get rolling!!2 -
My goal for January is to lose 3% body fat...I really lost just under 1%...a couple pounds down (2.2) and 2 1/2 inches off various places (1 belly button, 1 low belly, 1/2 hips)...some progress is better than none, but honestly this month was a struggle and I think it's mostly hormone shifts due to peri-menopause...my sleep was all messed up and terrible and that always kicks the appetite into overdrive, and my adherence to the food plan and logging of food was not as consistent as it should have been...so mediocre results are fair, and a step in a positive direction is better than a full on backslide.1

So...January went nothing like I'd hoped. High stress, 60-70 hour work weeks had me very quickly back in a mode of no gym time and way too many slips away from my meal plan. Here's to February!0 -
Argh, messed up the quote tags up there - but I ended January with a net gain of 2.4 thanks to lots of bad decisions. Time to turn that around.1
