Sorry I've been out of touch for a few days. Things were messed up for most of the last week, but they're getting sorted out now.
In my part of Canada, Newfoundland, we have been spared a lot of the effect of the virus since we are an island and fairly remote. For months the most cases we would have were at most 1 or 2 a day. That all changed last week when it was discovered one of the variants had been spreading here, and the new case count went up to 100 one day. My daughter is front line health care. My son in law and 2 year old grandson had symptons that the health care recommends should be tested. They spent close to 4 hours in a lineup for testing last weekend and most of this week in isolation. They finally got the results early this morning and thankfully they were negative.
Anyway, my life is getting back to a routine again. It was more than the dropping off food and other things to be doing over the last week, it was the mental part of it also. I haven't become complacent with the virus, its just that we went from being relatively safe to going into lockdown overnight.
Anyway, I appreciate this group and hope to get back to tracking and posting regularly over the next couple days.17 -

I am happy to be able to say "HI!" to each of you again. I live in North Texas/USA - and we were delighted to get large amounts of snow(not customary for our region). However, we were less thrilled to deal with 4 degree temps one day... single digits up to 14 one day...and so forth. We were fortunate in that we were able to have power in our home during rolling blackouts for three days that (fingers crossed and prayers lifted) kept pipes from freezing. Many of our neighbors are not so fortunate. In any case - I'm not complaining... I know that we are fortunate. I did not have internet though...so - I've been off of here for however long... So - I'm going to say that I used all of my pass days...and am now back on board with tracking. Now and again I could get a data signal...but not enough to keep on track. We were just focused on the basics.
So - I'm going to report now...only 1 pm here - that I will be "yes x's 3" today. Exercise is planned...meals too...so I WILL stick to it. ;D15 -
Let's keep going everyone, we are doing brilliant!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes altho not my USUAL exercise. LOL
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Decided yesterday was a pass day 1 of 3 because I could not keep track of what I ate and drank due to being sick from CO poisoning I believe. We have POWER. No water yet but it's 32 and the ice is melting... AND I am going to a walk in the snow.
Now if you believe my Dude he says - put some extra on and next time you won't be so worried about low temps in the house...

Calories- by the very skin of my teeth. Not very good choices today? I’ve felt unusually obsessed by food today in a way that I’ve managed to avoid on these last few weeks.
Sending warm weather thoughts to all you all Texans. The news I’ve been reading here doesn’t sound great but was cheered to read @SummerSkier and @dsgoingtodoit ’s posts - sounds like things are improving a little for you guys.7 -

Happy to hear this. I am still stuck in powerless mode in my mind after 3 days. Went to turn the flashlight on instead of the light switch. Went to heat my coffee on the burner instead of oh yeah MICROWAVE.. After almost 9 hrs of continuous power I was brave and bold enough to reset my clocks. LOL. And one of my neighbors 3 doors across never lost power. so strange.4 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? ✅ a little sad lower than usual, so I stayed on the bike until I hit 8 miles (32 minutes) plus a light arm workout (10 minutes)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? ✅
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
✅ I’m using both MFP and Noom’s calorie tracker. They rarely show the same ending balance.
Happy- my habit stacking plan of coffee then exercise is still working
Needs Improvement- Didn’t hit my 2 fruit and 2 veg goal, or my water goal.
Hope everyone is having (or had) a good day!6 -

Count me in! I've never been to the Keys but it's high on my list. There's a half marathon I'd like to run, or do a bike trip where they start somewhere in Florida and end in the Keys. I need to retire so I can start knocking some of this out!
@Chinkiri and @lesdarts180 - Hugs to you both. My heart hurts for you both, knowing how painful it is when someone you love is struggling.
@SummerSkier and @pamsja - even us hardened northerners would be struggling with what you're dealing with right now. Snow is one thing - ice is something worse. Hope you get some relief soon.
I know my responses are from yesterday (or maybe even the day before) - but they still apply.
@RangerRickL - today's quote is so spot on. I try and live by that - because I've been there myself.7 -

Exercise: yep
Tracking: nope
Calories: no idea
Pass day: 1
Bwahaha!
It was a long day at work and a long day at home. Overall it was a positive!
I made an incredible chicken wonton stir fry but measured nothing. It was delish. And I was encouraged to write these stories that are family stories that have been stuck in my head for years.
One is a children’s imagination story and the other is inspired by a story my grandmother told me about the day after Pearl Harbor. I just might write them!
Now all I need are readers...7 -

✔️ CALORIES: Yes.

Yes x 3 for Thursday
Tracked, on target, will end the evening with an hour or so of tennis. Prelogging a snack now and that will close the day.4 -

Me! I will read them! One day if I ever get the focus to write the ones down that have been swimming in my head for years (and the courage to let anyone read them) you can return the favor 🤗7 -

✅✅✅
Exercise - class got cancelled due to snow and I had a hardcore video workout planned... and then my stressed and tired body said we want a nice walk instead so I listened and did a 45 min walk on the treadmill instead.
I managed not to stress eat today, and was under my calories - but honestly didn’t make the BEST choices for what those calories were. But... baby steps.
@RangerRickL - love today’s quote and spirit!6 -
