Thoughts for daily calories goalI need to revisit how I am handling my daily calorie goal for maintenance as I am “failing” in that regard as I lost another 3 lbs while “maintaining” during this month. Having two variables of food calories and exercise calories is challenging for me. In the past I have lost and maintained with less significant exercise numbers so it was more a single variable. I do not want to drop back on exercise as I am doing it for overall health and fitness.
Just use MFP to calculate my maintenance calories/day. Nutritional needs are estimated at 1590, and it predicts that with exercise, I would need 1862 for 1 hour exercise for days/week. Average Apple Watch TDEE for February was 2126. Average calories consumed/day for February were 1686. With three pound loss over the month, to maintain, I would have needed an additional 375 calories/day for a total of 2073/calories/day. So, my thought for March is to consider my daily goal, 1590 plus daily exercise, but, for planning sake, I will expect that number to be around 1900 calories.

*** First pass of the month used. Very much worth the treat – Went to Square Grouper and started with a Key Lime Martini with graham cracker rim (sorry @RangerRickL not the pie), shared appetizers of Flash Fried Conch with Ponzu and Wasabi drizzle (amazing!!), and Ahi Tuna and Avocado eggrolls with Asian dipping sauce, then an entrée of Seared Sesame Encrusted Tuna with Jasmine rice and Asian slaw, and finished with a cup of coffee and a shared Strawberry Nutella Bread pudding with warm butter rum sauce. Though I may not make winners circle at the end of March, I fully intend to end a champion.

*** So while I have already gone negative on my passes and out of the winner’s circle, I am caught up with all my check-ins and though my formal tracking has been off, I have survived these past 4 days. Tuesday was 123.2, then went out to dinner and jumped to 125.2, had another off day and increased to 125.6, but this morning I am 123.8 and I do not mind that. It is 3:17 PM as I type this comment, and I just finished tracking where I am at for the day, so that I can finish strong today. Exercise has not been a daily issue lately. Tracking and total calories have been my challenge. My final post will go up later tonight once the kitchen is closed.

Looking forward to my long run tomorrow, which will be outside in the sun and the sun makes even running bearable. ☀️3 -
Yes, yes, and yes, a good day. Only 1 pass day so far this month.
However I am afraid that is about to come to an end. Vacation starts tomorrow, flying to New Orleans and tomorrow night we have reservations in a very nice Creole Restaurant. The trip is a combination of a fishing trip, visiting relatives, and some New Orleans tourist stuff. I am originally from Louisiana so getting back now and then feels good. Probably not much exercise, and calories will be hard to control. I can probably keep the calories down most days. I suspect it will be a week of mostly passes, but I will try to at least log in and post. Can't be in the WC every month!5 -

how are you feeling? okay I guess. today was off to a different start than yesterday. I had a full breakfast. (mostly because my little cousin made it and brought it to me before work and I didn't have the heart to tell the baby no so I measured and ate). worked straight through lunch with only a coffee. had dinner. I was not trying, but I almost ate 2000 calories today, I know I ate a lot of carbs. I am not as tired as I was yesterday, so it had to be my food intake was much too low. I need to watch that and carry my snacks as I know sometimes I can get so involved in work that I don't eat and then by evening I am either exhausted (too tired to eat) or over eat, neither is a good thing.
I hope to get better, still have a few kinks to iron out but I know by the end of this month I should be in a groove.5 -

Thanks everbody for sharing their methods to get better sleep. I will try some of them too. I don't usually have problem with my sleeping but sometime I find myself not to fall asleep easliy when I am stressed at work. Those nights it looks like I am sleeping but my brain is still working to solve the problem that I could not solve at work.2 -
Well I did it!! Ok, 7 extra calories for the week! 😂
7 days.
Tracked all
Calories under
1:24, 10.4K steps
All stats great for the week
Will set my next week’s goal after weighing in AM.2 -
Lots of exercise- (Pilates 20 mins, exercise bike 35 mins, hour and a half of walking) but...I went over calories at dinner. Home made pizza night which I had enough calories left for but I munched on some of the toppings that I had put out for everyone to build their pizzas (I do love mozzarella!). So that is pass day four. Not giving up though, just learning from my mistakes!2

@RangerRickL , hope you get well really soon! 🌺
I jogged 🏃♀️ with hubs 🏃♂️ yesterday and was so excited about it! Unplanned and I did not quite have time for it, but I took the time for it! 💍 He is slower than me, but that is not the point! 👫
I wanted to do a HIIT, so after feeding the kids and allowing them to watch a movie (I'm a bad mom and they can only do this on the weekends 🤷♀️), I used the time to sweat, baby! 🤸♀️
I was within the cals (below by 200), but honestly, I had thrown in some unhealthy choices 😔. I would do so well if I stayed away from sugar 😠.

Well I ripped off the bandaid at work and probably 75% now know I have an inoperable brain tumor. And I have had a series of strokes. Which is nice because at the end of the day when I am tired I can say okay am I thinking this correctly? Plus a few have gone the extra mile so they can monitor if by chance I were to have another at work. I guess an old coworker left work and died and they weren't paying attention to the warning signs. They may eat junk all day long but they are a good bunch.
Oh I am so sorry for you. My son was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour 18 months ago. We had a good 15 months of treatment that helped him but he is not doing so well now. I have a lovely daughter in law and 2 little grandchildren. Hugs to you5 -
