Loss so far since January: -11lb
COVID and unrelated family illness hit me VERY hard this past year, so really making an effort to focus on my health now. I had been not moving at all and snacking constantly or ordering takeout and got up to 177lb which is the most I have ever weighed. I'm getting married in September however so that is good motivation Focusing on hiking more and incorporating more walking into my daily habits.6 -
Hi all! It’s been awhile.
Looks like everyone is doing well 👍🏻
I got my IUD out on the 9th so it’s been over a week.
How do I feel? Still the same. Hoping to feel better soon but i know it’ll take time. Giving 2-3 months.
Scale tells me I’m still at 117.
I’m eating the same, working out the same.
Taking way too much ibuprofen but can’t function without it 😞
Enjoying seeing all your effort’s and stuff. Keep it up ladies!!!8 -

We are supposed to hear in a week or so if my husband’s job will be relocating us. It’s giving me a bit of anxiety. I have been completely depleted of energy this past week. Usually I enjoy going to the gym but this week I’ve had to use all my willpower to get there and get it done. I’ve been mostly on track with diet. One kinda screw it day thrown in there, but not too bad. I am grateful warmer weather is on its way so I can be more active outdoors.5 -
I’m less than a 1/2pound away from a goal weight of 115. I don’t formally follow Lent but decided to stay away from carb snacks - 5 lbs down since I started - but still within my calories! I want to recomp but I know I’m being silly - may lose a couple more pounds so that 115 isn’t too weight. What. Is. This. Thing. I. Have. With. The. Scale?!6
-
Starting over - the Corona weight is a real struggle. HH with hubs many weeknights doesn't help the scale;-) Seeing your posts here is a great motivation!

End of March goal: 134
Started a new set of goals this past Tuesday - I have 10 mini goals and I strive to hit 8 each day... So it gives me flexibility to make some tradeoffs, depending on my mood, the weather, etc.
Here are the 10 goals - again, I only go for 8. So far so good (yeah, well, it's only been three days - can't get too excited yet).
*50+ ml water
*slow walk 30+ minutes (usually with the dog)
*work out 30+ minutes (dog walking doesn't count)
*10,000 steps
*no food or drink (other than H2O) after 8 p.m.
*Keep calories under 1500
*No alcohol
*30+ minutes of "active cleaning" such as vacuuming or cleaning bathrooms, etc.
*2 out of 3 meals for the day - vegan (I'm not vegan - I love my meat and cheese! But when I eat that way, I make healthier food choices.)
Wish me luck.

Congratulations, @christine_olivia that's so exciting!

Goal weight for March: 130 lbs
Daily workouts switching between upper body and lower body using dumbbells, bands and bodyweight
Would like to make these daily activities with my 12 yo daughter (instead of tv or ipad):
Walk/run
basketball
croquet
yard work
3/1: 132.2 lbs
3/2: 132.0
3/5: 130.6 lots of walking and yard work yesterday! I lowered my protein and upped my carbs a little bit like someone suggested in one of these posts and I think that has helped me. Thank you to whoever that was!
3/7: 131.2 Not sure what's to blame for the weight increase, either raising my weights for last nights work out or the ice cream I had at midnight. (or both)
3/14: 130.6 I've been trying to increase my calcium without adding too much dairy, so I had Frankenberry cereal today!
3/20: 130.6 I'm going out of town next weekend with a friend. I can't wait to relax and have fun, but also nervous about all the eating! Ha!3 -

Hmm, my losses are slowing down but at least I'm going in the right direction. I upped my weights and strength workouts so maybe this is partly muscle gain? That would be nice. I've also been a bit sloppy with my diet (eating the stupid leftovers off my kids plates.... why??? So dumb) so I can definitely improve there.
But I'm also not very happy when I'm super restrictive with my diet, so that doesn't feel like the solution either. I worry about giving my kids (including 12 and 14 yr old girls) complexes about food or weight if they see their Mom constantly stressing about the scale or calories or keto or whatever. They need a role model with a healthy approach to food, including the occasional treat, as well as fitness and getting outdoors. So I'm just going to quietly keep chugging away with my slow loss and not do anything extreme. Even though I really would love to kick *kitten* and do something crazy to lose the last 5 - 6 lbs by June which is about when I need to put on shorts or a bathing suit...... 😁3 -

Reached my goal weight today - 115 - about 30lbs lost since last year this time!! Read countless posts and articles about maintenance but looking around thinking what now! I want to tighten up so concentrating on recomp would be the smart thing to do - except - if I never want to see more than 115 on the scale - do I go to 113 - so I’m ok with any fluctuations?5

MARCH GOALS, fairly similar to last month:- Minimal intake of sugar (<30grams/day)

Did very well last week so a tiny big disappointed I'm not getting a "woosh" on the scale, but nevertheless; it's still going in the right direction. Turns out by now I'm so used to not having sugar, that having some makes me break out... Guess I gave myself an allergy? 😆

For March I would like to hit the 130 mark and start getting into the 120's. I am still technically in the overweight category according to my Renpho scale but almost out of it. This is my main goal. Continuing to close my rings on my Apple Watch and keeping track of my food intake is going to be key. Oh, and not letting the weekends get me into a splurging mood. Have to make good choices EVERY DAY, ALL DAY!
What app is this? I love the look of it!0 -

LAST CHECKIN FOR MARCH
Jan loss: - 2,3kg~70,4kg
Feb loss: -1.4kg~69kg
March loss: -0.1kg~68,9kg
MARCH GOALS, fairly similar to last month:- Minimal intake of sugar (<30grams/day)
Most days I did well, but a few days I caved and stuffed chocolate in my face. - Keep up 16h fasting
Check, only a few exceptions and sometimes 18+ hours - 5/2 fasting pattern and macro cycling
Still trying to find my way with this, but of to a good start - Alcohol only on weekends and max once during the week
Didn't drink a lot at all this month and it feels right. - Reach 68kg
Not really there yet... Average weight this month was 68.9
2 March: 68.8kg
8 March: 69.8kg
15 March: 68.7kg
23 March: 68.5kg
29 March: 68.3kg
Did excellent during the week but completely tanked sat-sun. Ate extra low kcal yesterday so not sure this number is very accurate, but can't deny I'm relieved to see it.
In general I am a bit bummed: barely lost any weight this month (avg compared with Feb), despite considerable effort.

Thanks for starting thethread@l4a_p! Great name
01/03: 74.2 - February didn't go as planned. A large amount of cookies in the house was my downfall resulting in an average gain of 0.2kg instead of 1.0 loss. But this is a new month, a clean slate and all the cookies are over and done with ! Luckily I got 244,85 km of walks and already a total of 231 of biking kms this year to counter at least a little bit. Let's hit it girls !
03/03: 73.8
08/03: 74.8 - I know I didn't gain a full kilo in just 5 days, but it sure feels like it. Yes, I ate more than planned, but still not as much as I would in maintenance and still I gain. I am struggling to eat less because I'm much more sedentary than usual and I really need to adapt. A one hour walk a day doesn't warrant eating an extra cheese sandwichSo, I need to get a grip on the situation, and luckily I have these threads that at least keep me somewhat in check and accountable. An honest and deep felt thank you ladies (yes, you).
09/03: 74.5
10/03: 74.0 - that's water weight gone, good riddance! Now let's attack those fat cells.
17/03: 73.8 - and that could have been better if hubbie hadn't decided to bring some fancy easter eggs from the bakery on Sunday. He felt like I needed a treat after a horrendous work week. I love him to bits, but why chocolate?! But on the bright side: all the other days were really ok, hence the slight loss.
On Saturday we will leave for a 9 day break to the Ardennes, a hilly region in Belgium. Not very far from our house (we still can't cross borders yet), but a whole other atmosphere. The plan is to do a lot of walks. It's the first time since 2003 that we are having a non-diving holiday and it feels strange. Restaurants and bars will still be closed, so we plan to have some take out regularly.
29/03: 75.8 And we are back. We did more than 100 km hiking in rugged terrain, climbed more than 3.000 meters of elevation, but it was not enough to compensate my vacuum cleaner mode when it came to food. However, no regrets! It was a fantastic holiday with loads of wildlife, staying in a cottage in the middle of a silence zone, and we've enjoyed every minute of it. Tomorrow will be better as I'm sure it is - at least partly - bloating from all the sugar and salt I've been inhaling.4 -

Great achievement ! Congrats !!
I also think that you should go for a range of goal weight within you are ok with fluctuations, instead of a fixed goal weight. Or you could use an app like Happy scale to flatten out the fluctuations for you.1 -

3/29 - 141.2 - AVE 142.0 - K=1.1 I tried to re-calibrate a bit yesterday. All I can say is that my poor food choices were overriden with tons of exercise. Worked horses, cleaned out the garden and stayed on my feed all wknd.3 -
@Antiopelle Thanks for the pat on the back! I weighed in at 113.8 this morning - wasn’t even trying to! I’m trying to get my mind around this. A month ago I was 7lbs heavier - and just gave up sugary snacks for Lent and joined a 10k step daily challenge from MFP friend. Maybe I was due for a whoosh?! In any event, gonna start back lifting!2

Great to find this group. My name is Deb. This is my third time "starting again". I have 3 lbs to lose, but MOSTLY i want to be accountable to "not eat sweets" and "exercise" to "build bone and muscle mass". I log in everyday to support and be supported. Love MFP...IT works...now I have to meet the challenge! Waiting for April Accountability :):)5

Thanks for startingthethread@l4a_p!
Tomorrow will be better as I'm sure it is - at least partly - bloating from all the sugar and salt I've been inhaling.
30:03: 74.6 - that's better4 -
March results:
LW: 125
SW 3/1: 141
CW 3/31: 140.1
Goal: 129
Got down to 138 and went back up. Having trouble staying in that calorie deficit. I keep making excuses to re-feed and I need to stop.
So I’m looking more objectively at my pre-pandemic habits, versus where I slipped this past year. It felt really hard losing weight the first time but looking back now I dropped ~10lbs between April and August of 2017, then inched down to goal weight over years with mini bulks / mini cuts mixed / long slow recomp months for two years. Those hard months in a deficit were not the end of the world! I can do it again.
I have to stop obsessing about lost progress.
So ~ 1lb down, my results match my consistency. April will be better.6 -
Haven't weighed myself in a bit cause I've been a busy momma. We are now a 3 dog household!
