I highly recommend that you take the time to read yesterday's outstanding and insightful posts by @MadisonMolly2017. She casts new light on the "Eating Out Self"; and Vacations. She shares how to deal with those systemic temptations and pressures.

multi tasking post as I prepare for easter dinner for two guests and MIL who has been staying with us this weekend.
though, we will see how the day shakes out, I figure odds are pretty good that it could end up a pass. BUT, I proactively got up early and did a 30 minute spin class this morning. Also, I plan to fully track today though it may take me a day to break down the recipes, and enter.
I will do my official check-in as soon as it is accurate, and yes, I am late on my April 3 as well. Focusing on time with MIL this weekend. MFP tracking was done, just not checked in here7 -
Today is a planned pass day
Good luck to the rest 💜💛6 -

Happy Easter all! More by luck than judgement today is not a pass day but have to say I’m heading to bed not feeling great, probably because of the way I ate today! A learning experience- I skipped breakfast (which I sometimes do on weekends and usually feel ok with), had a small lunch then a slice of my extremely rich chocolate Easter cake with my parents in the afternoon. Didn’t feel great after that. Dinner was mostly veg and roast potatoes as I didn’t like the way my husband cooked the lamb (he has a new toy, a sous vide, which he has become a bit obsessed with, today was not a good result!! He is still experimenting). So basically I didn’t really eat in a balanced way. But I stayed under calories, kind of think I’d have been better going over and eating some protein with my dinner to balance out the chocolate. Sigh. Tomorrow is another day and I look forward to feeling healthier with some better choices!7 -

Personal Bonus #2: Did I meet my fiber micro for the day (35%)? YES | 38%

As of today, I'm tracking yet another thing: fiber. I mean, I've always kept an eye on it as I believe it is the answer to the meaning of life but after having read a sum total of one clinical study [ full research article ] yesterday with people half my age, I'd like to try boosting my intake this month in an effort to improve my gut flora and cardiovascular system...and find the meaning of life 😬
Also, if anyone cares to chime in, I'm looking for insights on vegan protein powders. Vega's brand has been my staple for 15+ years (Canadian pride goes a long way, eh?).
Got two in the mail today (Näak, Vanilla flavor and will give Sunwarrior's Warrior Blend another try tomorrow). I'm expecting to try another brand later this month (Iron Vegan Athlete's Blend) as well. Any others I should consider? My criteria are, ideally, 20+ grams of protein/serving and <11% daily sodium. I prefer not to have soy or whey but, like...I guess 🤷🏾♀️4 -
Today was a planned pass day--I had all my kids home for Easter brunch, our first gathering in a year!
And as if that wasn't enough good news for one day, I stepped on the scale this morning for my weekly weigh-in and discovered I'd lost a full pound (after a week of being stuck on a plateau.) That was all the motivation I needed to eat somewhat moderately at brunch. Skipped the mimosa, had lots of fruit.
I'm so proud of myself for sticking with this super-slow weight loss journey and not giving up as I have so many times before. I'm also grateful for your encouragement when I wanted to!13 -
@SusanElle813 I have to do this too as I am also horrible with eyeballing measurements. Olive oil was a big one for me, but now I use my Misto sprayer instead, such a calorie saver. I find I also need to weigh certain foods like pasta, cheese, chips, nuts, and meats. Before I was weighing food, I was easily having a double if not triple portion of pasta.
I have the same problem! I LOVE my food scale and use it constantly just for this very reason! I'm well aware that I'm very "heavy handed" and my hubby says I'm also spacially challenged - I can never determine the size of the bowl needed for leftovers!

APRIL 2021 ULTIMATE ACCOUNTABILITY CHALLENGE

September 14, 2020 – 153.0April has arrived and I am sitting here reflecting back on this month. It is the first month since September that I have closed the month with an “up”. That said, an up had to come at some point since at some point one is no longer trying/needing to lose weight, and I had passed my original goal back in January, I believe. The up on its own would be fine, but the habits, or lack thereof, that crept into my March are the concern. So, for the month of April, I will be focusing on returning to preplanning/pre-tracking as much as is possible and to not just thrown in the day it does not go as planned. I know that I know how to re-group and I need to make sure I find the time and energy for that. I want to up my cardio. Yes, I am “group walking” every day which burns calories, but honestly, I could walk at that pace for hours and hours without effort. I need to push myself, here and there, again. I will also be trying to maintain the social aspect of the group walks as well, so juggling all those time commitments will take a little focus. Lastly, I need to return to adding back exercises. I have not planked in a month, and rarely done exercises other than walking, running, or biking. So I need to figure out how to include bodyweight or dumbbell workouts. Here’s to April.April History

*** Sitting here as I write this, I have to wonder if posting my thoughts here this morning helped me to frame and get through the day. This morning, I did actually expect today to be a pass day, despite the slight optimism I expressed in my post. Ten minutes later, I decided to track a tentative day – carrot cake, stuffed shells and all. When I got done, I saw that even with every food included I could meet my calorie goals for the day. Portion control was the key. The plan was 90% accurate and the other 10% was adjusted on the fly. When I added something, I took something else away (sorry salad :P ). I enjoyed Easter with no pass today. The success feels good!

❌ did not exercise
❌ did not come close to my goal.
❌ did not accurately track everything that I ate and drank (estimated)
Well, it’s day four and I haven’t hit my calorie goal once. Today I consumed double what my goal is. Tomorrow I am getting back on track.
Pass days left ZERO5 -
Not enough exercise today to count.
Not for lack of wanting to, and I did do some work around the house early on but just got too tired to continue. May have pushed the recovery thing a bit too hard the last couple of days. So a pass day. I did eat well and log, so all is not lost...6 -
