I guess i really suck at being accountable.
@tryingtoloveme97
I doubt it. I think it takes time to master each of these. Choose one - get it under control. Then choose another - ditto. Then tackle the third.
Baby steps & self-kindness works. Really.
I did tracking first. Then about a year later began whittling my calories. And about 3-4 months after that I got walking.
It took me 2years 8 months to lose 75 lbs (I felt like a loser cause everyone was dropping wt like crazy.) And I’ve kept it off 2 years 9 months by using baby steps, forming new mini habits, and being patient & understanding with myself.
We are here for you.

Exercise? Somehow I eked out 30 minutes of leisurely walking.
Calories? Under budget.
Log everything? Yeppers!
Motivational quotes? Offhand nothing stands out. Non-motivational? This is one of my favorites, from a fortune cookie I got years ago.
"Harmony doesn't happen when all notes are the same; it happens when different notes come together and create a beautiful sound. Love the music you and your friends make."

"It's not about how hard you can hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and still keep going."
Yes it's from Rocky, but it's my favorite and most motivational quote because it reminds me what really matters. Every "failure" is just another step towards success. At the end of the day what knocks us down doesn't matter as long as we have the strength to keep getting back up again.
✅ Exercise: went on a long walk with the stroller for about an hour and then did a home workout for another 30 minutes afterwards
✅ Calories: just barely stayed under my budget! Still managed to sneak a sweet into my day 😁
✅ Tracking: everything marked down as accurate as I could get it

@seilidhe I love this quote! It's very true and very beautifully stated!!4 -
I posted late last night (for me, I was already in bed!) and forgot to post a favorite quote. It's not really a motivational quote, but it's one that hubby and I heard on TV recently and laughed out loud about:
"If you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes".
There is a lot of truth to that..... and we must have a warped sense of humor because we just laughed and laughed.7 -
3 YES day.
Weights with a trainer. I go with my teenage son who makes so much more progress than I do. Not surprising. I enjoy watching him succeed and the mother/son bonding. Who would have thought that I’d be spending quality time with my child lifting weights?!?!?6 -

Exercise: 45 min strength class. It was killer. I really need to do more stretching and yoga. My hamstrings hate me. Hate. Detest. The poor things. Now… how do I make myself like yoga? Lol. Calm and slow isn’t really my scene. 🤔
For me part of the appeal of yoga is working towards mastering some of the challenging poses. My current aim is crow pose. The right teacher is also important. I’ve been to some that I really hated but I have one in person that I really enjoy and my online yoga for Jiu Jitsu teachers are amazing. (I can give you a month free trial on there if you want. It’s specifically aimed at my sport but they have loads of different types of classes. The hour long classes are meant to be as tough as an hour of hard fights, plus they have yoga for rocks which are people who are not flexible at all.)1 -
