Ashley...is that a Bad Company reference?!?

Nope, if I had said "I love you so, I'd walk a hundred miles to let you know", then it would be a Bad Company reference.

This week, it was a Vanessa Carlton "A Thousand Miles" reference.

There's a lot of songs that reference walking, and I'm taking full advantage

Good. I didn't think theirs was a thousand but didn't have the energy to find out.

Well not sure how that weight loss happened. Maybe because I was sick the end of last week. But I will take it. Hopefully it keeps going down.i am getting closer to my virtual appointment with the weight loss clinic to hopefully start going there. My granddaughter had the stomach bug Wednesday night. I felt so bad watching her get sick. We have the stomach bug going around the daycare. As I was typing this I had to break for a child getting sick. I have to take a sibo test tomorrow, there are a lot of rules to follow for this. I am tired of taking tests. I am starving and I am restricted to what I can eat.

Congrats on the loss and sorry to hear you family has had the sickness going around. I know a man with IBS and a couple months back invited him & his fam to a social event. Decided to make sure food matched things he could eat (and his wife was gluten free) and did a crash course FOD diet and WOW. It is really rough. I get how difficult that is. Have you checked out any cookbooks specifically for FOD? I found one at the library and it was really helpful. I really get being tired of tests. My last 18 months have been tests and no answers. Now I have answers but no solutions. Sigh. I hope your tests determine a good course of treatment to make things easier for you.

    Funny story...
Took a long walk (4.5 miles?) this am before(ish) the rain. We had a lovely pastry (blueberry almond cream! yum!...alas, no food porn for you guys...I ate it before I thought to take a pic) and were almost home when a big, weird bug (like a cross between a spider and a really large boxelder, no idea what it was) shows up on hubby's shoulder. I said, Hey stop! Theres a big bug! (maybe OMG! !STOP!) He looks and says Get it off! and starts batting at it with his umbrella and doing a bit of a dance. And then has the nerve to complain that I didn't get it off...when he never stopped moving enough to let me!

Watching him do the get it off dance was pretty funny. Reminds me of walking to the bathrooms whist camping last week at 3am and seeing multiple giant wolf spiders carrying a hundred ish babies and him getting a bit weird about it. Ha! (I like spiders...as long as they stay outside)

I can start weighing in this coming Monday. I have a few camping trips planned Wednesday to Sunday with no access to a scale,so Friday weight in doesn't really work for me in the summer

I did go over a bit on calories last week for my vacay and a little a couple days this week for stress eating (last week of end of year data reporting for schools) BUT I DID NOT eat 17,500 additional calories (I can't even...) so I know it is salt or water or, well, something...doesn't make me happy.

    Weigh in day Saturday
    PW179.2
    CW 180.6
    Gain of 1.4 lbs

    Steps this week 76134

I expected the gain after vacation. I ate what I wanted. 🤷‍♀️

So I’ve been around the same weight for 6 months and I’m going to buckle down and try to get below this plateau. The good news is my garden is doing well and I should have fresh veggies soon. That should help. 😁

@melaniedscott I haven't tried a cookbook, I didnt know they had one. Thank you for letting me know. The drs just say try the fodmap diet. I do have a book to read about it along with ibs for dummies. I am hoping one of these tests give me some answers or the weight loss clinic can help me out.

My entire house now has the stomach bug. My granddaughter seems to be feeling better, she did go to school yesterday but came home and took an additional nap and then slept most of this morning and threw up again. But her and I went for a walk, blew bubbles and went in the pool. After that you could see she was ready for bed by 5. My son was sick yesterday, he is just starting to move around and look better. Then we have the biggest baby of them all, lol, my husband. He woke up sick today and the world is over. Hopefully everyone is back to normal tomorrow. My sister and niece were supposed to come over today but quickly changed their minds.

I'm so sorry you guys aren't feeling well. I hope the sick passes.

    Also...meant to say this earlier...

I had another heavy junk food day…chips, cookies, chocolate covered popcorn, and ice cream. Why is it so hard for me to get back on the non-junk food path once I go down the junk food road?
I’m happy with my weight, but I feel horrible when I eat the bad stuff. And the truth is, I will put back on the pounds in no time at all if I keep it up.
I want to see what I look like if I lose another 15 pounds. Okay I’m going to cut out the junk food starting tomorrow. My goal is to go the next two weeks without junk food. I have a vacation planned to go to New York and DC with my brothers family and I want to look and feel my best.

I had a horrible week with my steps, I used to get my 10,000 in and now I'm lucky to get one day with that. I have to start getting better. Even on the walk with my granddaughter yesterday I didn't get my goal. I have to really make changes or I'm never getting anywhere. I'm headed to zumba in a few minutes so that will be some steps. Its going to be hot here again today so I know by the afternoon I will be in the pool so I have to get most of my steps in the morning.

Swimming burns calories too! I'm jealous...I want to swim!!
