BTW: Roxy the rescue mare is doing very well in Cave Creek, AZ. Her ribs are no longer showing, but it will take some time to build up her very atrophied hip muscles. In addition, a 13 year old rider who you would like is loving on her several times per week.
Best to you Summer
Rick
Happy to hear this @RangerRickLI suppose you will start working with her next winter when you go to AZ? Will you leave Rusty at home this year then? Bandit got an infected bite or sore in his ear so he has been channeling Rusty a bit the last week.

June has been a bit of a washout for me as well. The difference is, before I joined UAC, I would be really hard on myself and that would lead to a bit of a spiral. But this time, I know I still have had more days of better eating than not. I love the marbles idea and mentally, I have more in the good eating jar, even with all the off days.
Yesterday was good though. Couldn't track but decided to listen to my body so ate small portions and set it aside. I'm trying something different, which is to remind myself that there is more food coming later so to wait for it.

June 26:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - 1 hour walk.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, by my widest margin yet!
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Pass days used: 6/3
Motivation: In the past, I used events and appearances, looking good by this time or when a certain person (a relative who insults everyone) was going to see me. But, that only exacerbated my yo-you cycle. Now, I guess my motivation is the action of stopping that cycle, and to do that, I have to change my lifestyle. It was hard and wasn't working, until I started tracking here.7 -

@Higa2021 Good for YOU for "sticking with it" to the end of the month! And for recognizing that reigning in that "spiral" before it happens!! That's an AWESOME NSV!! For me, there came a point when I had to determine that I was going to stick with it (MFP) and show up here (in the UAC) every.single.day NO MATTER how many pass days I end up with! I think that's what accountability is about. I think I finally figured out that I'll NEVER reach my goal if I "bail" every time the going gets tough. Huge Kudos to YOU!!
As far as your reminding yourself that there is more food coming later -- I do that too. There are also times when I look at the clock and tell myself - Teresa, you can wait 30 more minutes, (or 1 more hour). Usually for dinner... Often I will get up and go DO something, which takes my mind off of food - at least for a little while.I think you're doing great! Just stick with it!

@SummerSkier We are in the process of getting our home and our farm ready to sell. I'm retiring from my law firm and it's time to simplify.
I have two horses here on the home farm that have some aging issues but they are still good walk/trot horses for the local equine activities and therapy program. I have been very involved with that program for 25 years. On the other hand, Coco, is too quickly reactive for me to feel safe riding him outside of an arena. He is agile, balanced and appropriately responsive in an arena. Our equine activities and therapy program needs him for our instructor-training certification program. The program founder is a nationally ranked dressage trainer/rider. She loves Coco and wants him to be with her.
All is well!

Today I drove my grandson to the same summer camp that both my wife and our kids attended in their respective times. It was a fun thing to do with my grandson and my son-in-law. My daughter left today for a business meeting on Monday.4 -

Aye @calvin20874, what a feat! I'm guessing the stretching has a big role in your results too. Ever since you joined UAC, I continue to be impressed by your consistency, my friend.
As I enter my late entries, it's nice reading about so many of you getting to reconnect - IN REAL LIFE - with your loved ones. We're entering the New Normal of life, it seems; praise be!
