I am glad your daughter didn’t get hurt but why such insensitivity to others? That’s the question I always think of if we all showed a little more kindness well you fill in the blank….

While the above looks positive, my food choices were not remotely healthy, even though I managed to stay under in calories.
i can relate - i did pretty good until a snap decision to hit the popcorn and soda while finishing up the handmaid's tale...!2 -

@chanstriste13 - That was a great walk. The popcorn isn't a problem if it's plain, but I hear ya about the soda.
@Higa2021 - Well done. I often have to walk indoors at night to get my steps in.
.... And Well done on 3 x Yes. Keep it up.
Kudos to those who managed to stay under goal despite birthdays, 🇺🇸 4th July 🇺🇸 Celebrations et al. Not easy to do.
@Mrs_Hoffer - I don't do that well, either if I'm late eating. But at least you had a gorgeous day with your family.

Not today. Went out for a birthday celebration last night. I did get my exercise in though.4

July 3 perfect!
Back in the saddle! My gentle tightening up of food, exercise in late June and thinking about what I needed to improve 1st, 2nd, 3rd going forwards into July is working.
GRADUALLY I have:
Boosted my steps over 10K 🎉
Got all food out of sight (no bread on the counter, etc) to reduce food cues 🎉
Cut out raw almonds 🎉- FINALLY identifying what had caused my issues the past 4 months. ❤️❤️ Sometimes we have to be our own detectives. Along with I successfully reduced Fiber to recommendations if medical team.🎉
Set up a tracker for July to reinforce my intentions & lose the 1 kg back to my Goal Zone (which is what I decided to call my maintenance range!) 🎉
Figured out clever lol swaps or reductions …for my unhealthier or calorie laden items.
Swapped two 2% lattes to nonfat - saved 120 calories
Ate 1.5 chocolate croissant instead of 2.0, then 2 1/2’s and then one 1/2. For a savings of 510 calories.🎉
Added a 2nd serving fruit vegetable “Freggies”in & felt fine so added a third & ditto YAY🎉 it WAS the dastardly almonds.
Added Eat 15 oz Freggies to tracker.🎉
Baby steps work.

@seilidhe I understand your frustration about those very rude cyclists.
It's eye opening to see how difficult, or even impossible it can be for some people to properly put themselves in anothers shoes because that person simply assumes the other person is at least as capable as they are themselves. It just takes being in situations like that for it to really show and is why I said it's eye opening.
What you are doing with your daughter is truly inspiring. I look forward to every report. It has made me wonder if I can do walks with my daughter. I would love that. I just have to get over so many fears first. She is an opportunistic eloper who seems to find the most dangerous places to go, so it's hard to get past that.3 -

@seilidhe people are often so insensitive - how frustrating! People would do well to remember that we usually have NO IDEA what other people are going through! Huge kudos to your daughter for continuing to get out there and give it her best!
