@clutterqueen VERY well said my friend! I'm like you, it took me a long time to figure out that I can't out exercise a bad diet! I also was "killing" myself trying to exercise so much. At 60 I just can't do as much as I used to. I've finally learned to focus on more healthy eating instead!!2

@_JeffreyD_ I'm sure you are right about 5 hours of fishing being good exercise! 🐟🐠🐡🦈 Congrats on a great (and fun!) day!!2

July 5:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, in my book. 3 hours organizing and cleaning the garage. And the heat/humidity was back. So, I am counting that as exercise!
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.
Pass days used: 1/3
I posted last month that trying to out exercise a bad diet put me on the yo-yo cycle that I am now trying to break once and for all. I am determined! June in UAC got me into the habit of tracking daily and this group kept me accountable. My goals for July are to (1) keep that habit, (2) have fewer pass days, and (3) reasonably increase my exercise.8 -

Despite a second consecutive day of hosting a family party that featured my extended family, I did track my intake and exercise.
I got plenty of walking.
I ate lightly during breakfast and lunch. Dinner was the big celebration but I did not go out of bounds.

Pass day number 1!
I could say I have eaten out of frustration. Too many things happened that were on my nerves. Thankfully, solved some of the problems by the end of the day, but the damage already done. I have tried my best to track everything, and I will try to raise my exercises whenever I can to burned it off. As today's topic suggested, there is no way I could burned off in one day!
Goodnight and good morning 💜💛6 -
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes- Treadmill: 32 min / 1.87 mi

I don't have any particular goals for July outside of what I posted on the 1st. I am doing well with eating within calories limits most of the time and exercising daily.7 -
5th July
Went with my partner to a lunch with the Alzheimer's Association and I have no idea how many calories that was. I don't think I was over 1200 calories foodwise, but the kir and the two glasses of rose wine put me well over, I'm sure. I did have to walk for almost half an hour in the heat as our driver got stuck in traffic on the way back and we had to walk the last 30 minutes home.6 -

Did I exercise at least 20 minutes? Yep. Got 70 minutes in with my friends and even though we just "tottled along" as my friend called it, we got in about 11.25 miles and at least a year's catching up. Or at least a good start on it.
Did I track everything? Yes. Today the tracking involved way more food than it should have.
Did I stay within calorie goals? No. I did not. Part was going to Starbucks with my friends this morning and getting one of the refreshers (kiwi dragonfruit) and sous vide eggs. Part was going to lunch with my girls and instead of getting my burger bunless with a side salad, I got the bun and steak fries. Part was going for dinner with Ais and actually eating even though I really didn't want anything because I suck at saying no to food.
Pass Days = 3/3
Gotta say I'm glad I'm going back to work tomorrow. I always bring my lunch so I'll be better able to control my damn self.
@Winner_in_Life , I think it's you getting the new apartment, congratulations!
And to whoever just got approved for the townhouse, congratulations to you too!
To everybody who got to spend quality time with friends and family... it doesn't get any better.
Sorry... my brain is sleepy so, since I could plan my own surprise party at the best of times, tonight I can't Remer ask the details of who posted what. And on that note, I bid you all good night! (Or good day, depending on where you are).

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - we are on vacation and we chose to make today a very active day. I did 24 minutes of yoga, 70 minutes of walking/hiking, and 140 minutes of biking. We checked out a new national park here in Alberta and had a ton of fun!
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Great day! We are off to bed exhausted with our hearts full from the memories of today.6 -

I picked up a snacking habit in June that I have to break in July. And my daily dessert habit 😆
I exercised and tracked everything, but went over by 200 cals. It's still in the range because of the exercise. I just don't add back those calories. And didn't have dessert, yay! So 0/3 pass days. 2/5 days with dessert.6 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. 45 minute walk with my little guy. I don't think I appreciated how much incline there was walking around near my house until I was pushing a stroller.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.
Survived a weekend (long weekend at that) without using a pass! Weekends are usually my downfall, so just hoping I can keep it up. Next test starts Friday when we head out of town for a short family vacation (first time since pandemic/my son was born).6 -

Are our daughters the same person? 🤔
I'm unconvinced I should get involved again though as mine is nearing 22 and makes... interesting...life choices 🤨 That said, she called this morning about her self-inflicted housing woes I asked her to call me after I was done work to discuss it.
Discuss, not rescue or enable. But I'm mean so... there's that 🤷🏿♀️7 -

@donna25trinity, @biketheworld, @Mrs_Hoffer - thanks for thinking of me! ❤️ I took a little mental health break because I was losing steam, which ended up being a good lesson in the fact that my habits aren’t solid enough for maintenance yet so it’s a good thing I still have more pounds to lose so I can solidify them (plus an extra 3-5 I obtained in the process of learning that.) I wasn’t going to join July because I figured I already can’t be in the winners circle, given I just got back to it today, but your posts reminded me this group is about more than the winners circle so here I am ready to creep on all of you… I mean… uh… cheer on your success! Hahahahaha. Also to check in to keep myself on track so the winners circle is a possibility in August. Thanks again for being you. ❤️ I’m excited to get back into it and hope my three weeks of nonsense was enough for my body to respond to appropriate weight loss calorie deficits again! 🤗
