No change. Grr. It's okay. The universe is making sure I know I'm not doing all the things I need to do to totally commit to this. And I keep making excuses, or saying I'll do more when X is done or I start out the day with good intentions but the phone never stops ringing and it makes me want to bite something...and I do, just m&m's, not celery or OMG I have six projects that need completed RIGHT NOW and not enough time to do it, chips are the answer to the immediate problem, as before, wanting to bite something. And then I eat everything in the evening. I've been over but not drastically and probably high on salt... Anyway, I need to stop this.
Okay. That was word vomit but, hey...
I could have written this myself... I feel you! Let's try to do better for the next 7 days, ok?
I'll try if you will. I thought I was doing well yesterday but 9 pm hit. When I feel snacky after 9, I think I need to just go to bed. I'm silly tired and...I need to put on my big girl pants and go to sleep. Thank god I have no kinder...it would be a madhouse.3 -
Today I scheduled my appointment with the weight loss clinic, its for the end of August. Hopefully I get some results. I have been managing to get my 10,000 steps in daily this week. Last night before bed I took my granddaughter for a walk because she was grumpy and I could use it. Its muggy here today but I think I'm going to go for a walk anyway. I dont really feel like using the treadmill.
I hope the clinic gets you some answers. Well done on the walking. I, on the other hand, have only walked a reasonable distance once this week. Wanted a walk yesterday...stepped outside, the sky opened up...I came back in. Maybe I'll do better today.

I can’t lie I’ve been eating like crap this past week or 2, went away and now in the middle of renovating a new house so it’s been more takeout than I’d like to admit. I havnt really formally worked out but I have been laying floors and doing dry wall so I feel like that’s gotta count for something. This weeks goal is too try and meal prep some meals to cut down on the takeout and get on the treadmill atleast 3 time in the week.5 -

I don't know what happened this week. I walked more several days this week but no exercise really. I have more steady pain in my back and leg so maybe water build up. Or maybe I ate just a little bit too much some days. I will try to keep it all in control this next week. Have to make some progress in July.3 -
Weigh In Day: Thursdays
PW (Previous Weight): 217 (July 1st)
CW (Current Weight): 216.8 (July 8th)
I’ve been doing very well staying on track with my eating habits and walking workouts so it is a bit frustrating to see so little movement. I keep reassuring myself that if I just stay the course the loss will come.6 -

Friday’s weigh in
Pw: 149 lbs
Cw: 147 pounds
I’m happy with this! At this rate I’ll be to 145 pounds by mid July.
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I plan to drink more water, exercise for at least 30 minutes/day and count my calories using the MFP diary.
We’ve got this! Cheers to another week of weight loss.

I can't believe it's already July 10th!
Hello everyone. Sorry I'm a bit late with this. I’m Theresa and I live in downtown Toronto, Canada. I joined Team Weight No More in January 2020. In January 2021 I took some time off to support my sister (virtually) who has been receiving treatment for Lyme Disease (that went undiagnosed for two years) while also being the primary caregiver for our mother who was terminally ill and passed away on Easter Sunday.
About me
I have two grown children. My daughter Elisabeth lives nearby with her partner, Jake. She just recovered from cancer (yay!) and started her own advertising agency. He is starting a PhD program for the next five years. My son Phil lives in a small town an hour away with his wife, Katie, and two children. Pippa turns four July 28th (she'll tell you every day) and Gilbert is two. I have a Havanese dog named Xavy. He doesn't say much about it, but he turns five on August 1st.
I had a career as an advertising and publishing executive. For years I ran, cycled, and swam. Then one day, as my daughter says, just like Forrest Gump I stopped.
My weight story
As a child, I was an healthy weight, except this one time when my next-door neighbour's grandmother babysat and introduced us to three course lunches with whipped cream on every dessert. When my children were small, I was very slim, about 120 lbs, probably from chasing them around. In my forties I was at my ideal weight, a toned 142 lbs.
Almost four years ago, when my granddaughter was born, I saw a photo and didn’t recognize myself. I did look like a happy nana and I’m sure I was comfy to hug, but I want to live to be a ‘little’ old lady.
In January 2018, I weighed 177.4 lbs with a goal of a toned 142 lbs. I’ve reset this to 145 lbs and toned because I when I was at 145 lbs and toned in 2020, I found that it was perfect for me.
The present
I’m generally very healthy though was diagnosed with Meniere’s Disease over the past couple of years. Some of the symptoms, particularly vertigo, aren’t great for exercise but I’m persistent. It accounts for some of my slow progress but I’m now on medication that reduces the severity of the vertigo, ear pressure, and tinnitus. It won’t reverse the hearing loss but I am okay with that.
I launched a new business called Ancestree Detectives in January. It’s an on-demand service for DIY family historians to hire professional genealogists for as few as 30 minutes. It’s going really well and whoa ~ am I busy! We've even been on TV.
We're finally getting out of lockdown here in Toronto, after being in a stay-at-home order all of 2021 and most of last year. I'm getting my hair cut on Wednesday and I think I'm more excited than getting my second vaccine.
My July goals- Log food, water, and exercise daily
- Sleep eight hours each night
- Increase strength exercise to 3 times a week
- Do higher intensity cardio 2 times a week
- Move every day in a variety of fun ways
My stats- Highest weight: 177.4 lbs
- Lowest weight: 6 lbs 11 ounces (see, I took that joke from Ashley)
- Lowest weight as an adult: 117 lbs (when my children were toddlers, they were super active)
- Weight now: 152.1
- Goal: 145 and toned
Welcome @Kaken21 !
