I love the first gals outfit. So cute Chris. I notice no one is using the monthly post lately. Do you want me to do one for August still?

Shelley, Kathy, Karen & Paula...what do you guys want...the post here plus our Group Chat or just our Group Chat???

    Everyone must vote...

I'm all for just the Group Chat...Love you guys, Chris

Maybe keep the Group chat and downsize here to just one new monthly challenge. To track weigh ins and workouts. Paula is right about the phone blowing up thing.

I agree Shelley. Move to texting group as primary...and here for weight check-ins and WOs.

    I'm a texter...so I am used to the volume;)

I like texting. It's really nice to stay in touch. But moderation works really well for me. It's been perfect recently because we chat off and on; but not constantly all day, every day.

I can't turn my phone off because it's my only link for emergencies. Maybe it's my PTSD or OCD, or having been trained as a secretary to jump and answer when a phone rings; but for whatever reason, if it dings all day, I can't relax.

Karen I think I was not clear. Phone in moderation for important things. Or when computer is not handy. But only one post here. Paula I keep my phone on silent mode due to court. Don't want it going off. Because I think my judge would give me the stink eye. :#

Also I have been looking at chair exercises for my mom. Here is one that is to advanced for her. But I thought some of us might want to do it when we are just not wanting to GET UP. There is no music either. So you can play what ever you like. Also a plus.

No laughing at this. My mom has trouble getting up and down. I thought this would be good to try for her. And us.

What a crazy day tofay. We had some pretty severe weather here in Pennsylvania. I was in the office today and about 5 minutes into my ride home got a tornado warning on the phone. Happened the whole 50 minute ride home. Super scary part.... one mile from work a tornado actually hit about 10 minutes after I passed the road. Tons of destructio... thank good miss no one was hurt. So scary.

    Dang Kathy,

Stuck on a beautiful beach with no Fitbit charger? Guess you're gonna have to give up walking and just laze around with your honey...

    Jealous!

I am so out of shape! Even standing around for short periods of time is hard. I started last month's wall sits and planks challenge. Now I'm using the TRX to do them. Since it hangs in a well-travelled area, it's always in sight which makes it easy to do a few reps every day. :)

The pain in my left knee seems better (for now). But yesterday my left hip started hurting. I fought through the pain to walk normally and it's feeling better. Maybe something was out of alignment.

Chris, I have knots in my stomach imagining what you're going through. Hope it heals soon. Thinking of you!!

Paula why didn't we think of this first? No charger, time to just lay around on a beautiful beach. I am in. Try the chair exercises when your knee is really bad. It does work your groin though. Muahaha

Oh but what fun you will have anyway. And now I have a chance to beat you in steps! LOL

I worked a 12.5 hour shift on Saturday and boy did it mess up my clock. I kept wanting it to be Sunday on Monday. And when I got home my daughter was there visiting my mom. Which is awesome. But I really just wanted to go do some vegetating. And then when I finally had the chance to ride with Libby my sons ex-wife came by. Have not seen her in years. So I did finally get in my ride but it was so short. I need more time. But on a good note my hibiscus are starting to bloom. One plant is so pretty. And 2 others are going to be blooming by next week.

We had some really high winds on the mountain and rain. It destroyed our trailers awning. Put ditches in our road. It is quite a mess. But no one was hurt. Mom and I are still doing chair workouts. We love Daisy. She is always smiling and has good music.

I am working overtime tonight. But tomorrow I start going to the gym for about 30 minutes each evening. Looking forward to that.

    @cpanus I just read this:
Yeah, well, some things don't always work out the way you expect. Going done a sidewalk I've been down a zillion times...took my eyes off the cracks to look a a cute dog and I tripped ...face-planted...hit my right knee and my lip. Lip is fine...make-up will hide it...my knee is swollen ugly. Icing it every 20 mins. I have always been so careful with my knees. I squished my right knee years ago on an old carpet covering a cement floor. Heard it...felt it. Man, oh man!! I have been working really hard to get back to pre-surgery strength and now this. UGH!!! I am so NOT HAPPY!!!!

    Chris:'(

Paula is so right in her reply. I wonder if we should have walking sticks to help prevent falls. If you had one do you think it would have helped you recover so you could have avoided the fall? I hope it is better today. Hugs and keeping you in my thoughts.

I know some of you belong to that No Burpee Club. But I won't hold that against you.

I am beginning a 30-Day Burpee Challenge tonight after work. I am really dreading starting them up after being a member of before mentioned club for so long.

I did make myself a copy and changed the date.

Sooooo glad it's not broken!!! (But sorry about the pain, anguish, etc. - cuz that was still a lot of nasty stuff you went through.) Are you starting to feel better? ((hugs)) <3

Hope you find a good upper body workout that you really you like. Sounds fun, actually.
