Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? ✅
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? ✅
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? ✅5 -
Tracking: Yes. I know I am getting on board because today I thought my scale battery was dead and I momentarily panicked, lol. Better go get a spare.
Calories: Yes, Another red warning day, so I am going to try to do better tomorrow.
Exercise: Yes, not what I wanted to do, but I was determined to get in 20 minutes somehow rather than take a pass day. I couldn't get out to run before dark, so I messed up my training week. Not that I am training for anything! Anyway, I decided it might be fun (said no one ever) to just climb up and down my stairs for 20 straight minutes. 13 up, pivot, 13 down, pivot, repeat...repeat...repeat. It was pretty miserable, so I say it counts as exercise!

My Sunday positive report:

Calories: surprisingly controlled and tracked
Exercise: 35 minutes walking7 -
Pass day #1
Was helping my daughter organize all her stuff in her new apartment, for 5 1/2 hours. Got my 6 1/2 mile run in and a trip to the farmers market first though. Too tired to log or think at this point.6 -
Another great starting post. Positivity. I have always looked for the pitfalls in life. I think that’s what made me good at my job - advising people of all the terrible things that could happen in every scenario imaginable and how best to protect against as many as possible. It has taken me a long time to realize that I wasn’t enjoying my personal life as I was always catastrophizing (such a great word). It’s taken even longer to notice when I’m starting to go down that rabbit hole and change my perspective, but I am now successful at it the majority of the time. I am finally living in the moment. The universe throws terrible things at us - leaving dirty dishes in the sink does not a tragedy make.

What does positivity mean to me today?
Not rushing the process, appreciating where I am now and how far I've come4 -

Did I exercise at least 20 minutes? I did. I rode the same route this morning that I rode Thursday morning. I improved my time by 5 minutes.
Did I track everything? I did.
Did I stay within calorie budget? I did not. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
Positivity? I tend to be more optimistic most of the time... but lately, it's been a stretch, due to things around here. Still I try. And I try to impart some sense of positivity to my daughter (mostly unsuccessfully, but I keep trying). Ah well...
I'm off to bed. Want to ride again in the morning. I need the time.

Great topic for today - thanks @MaltedTea for leading us and thanks to all for sharing your insights. This is a super group!
I have a tendency to be a bit of a Pollyanna most of the time, but when I am hurt or significantly let down by others, I crash really hard into a pit of sarcasm and negativity. I’ve had a tough time recently and have found the following intentional approaches do help me:
* Get enough sleep
* Stop extrovert/busy behaviour and spend some time alone (I love to read)
* Practice positive self-talk
* Follow a healthy lifestyle (being here helps 🥰)
* Keep a sense of humour
We are trying again tomorrow for the trip to see our daughter. Finally, less smoky weather is forecast. It will be a great little mini-break. Six hours in the car total there and back, but we have a long walk along the river planned (we are bringing the 11 month old pup).
I will track, but am expecting to use one of my pass days as I am certain I will be “over calories”. Will enjoy and savour every bite!

Took pass days on Thursday and Friday so I’m over for the month and we’re only a week in. So it goes. But I’m not quitting. 3 YES day today - a brisk 30 minute treadmill walk.8

😍 all the positivity but our members are sharing. I'll be back later to see how y'all are doing.
@idoliov - 👍🏻 On today's 3 x yes. Some months, we just need more than three pass days. The good thing is that you can still be a Champion if you keep on logging in.
@jamcnewman - us Pollyannas need to stick together 😂 I hope you manage to get that great trip that you have planned with your daughter. 😍 The wee black pup .
@seilidhe - Yay! 👍🏻 5 minutes off your time.
@ashleycarole86 - frisbee always sounds like such a fun activity.
@readyornot - Fortunately, the universe also throws us some fabulous times. Those are the ones that I think we should choose to focus on.
@RangerRickL - Family time is so important. It's one of the things that we have all missed so much during the last 18 months.
@bradkcrew - WOW! That was dedication. My go to in that particular situation is to put on some rock music and dance. Much more enjoyable for me, but maybe not your style?
@Mrs_Hoffer - you are the epitome of positivity. I have my fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow so that you can get in those 31 miles. I am positive that you will succeed.
@stella7x7 - @GrandmaJackie - @clutterqueen - special occasions are the reason we have pass days. I hope you enjoyed your day.
@MaltedTea - sounds like you were skipping and dancing for joy.
👍🏻 Yay for 3 x yes @thabit11 - @SummerSkier - @tdrjustus3

All joint/muscle pain was gone today so I had a good workout.
This week positivity for me means to have patience and accept the physical limitations that thwart my exercise program and adapt/modify as needed.
@MaltedTea You look fantastic. You're braver than me. I'm rather reserved/private so won't ever post any photos of myself online.5 -
@MaltedTea Thank you for the encouragement!
Also I forgot to mention congratulations on the impressive before and after photos to you and @Winner_in_Life last month!✨6 -
Thank you all very much for the lovely birthday wishes!
August 7th:
✅ Tracked all my calories
x Stayed under calorie goal (birthday cake and the full-sugar coke that hubby accidentally got me at the bar got me)
✅ Exercised more than 20 mins (Played on my VR)
5/7 days
2/3 pass days used
Positivity is something I have been working on for some time. My word of the year for 2021 is "Peace" which is about calming my inner storm and looking for the positives in everyday life. The simple pleasures. Taking a moment before reacting. Controlling my responses. It's a lot of work, behind the scenes, but I am finding that meditation helps and I am getting better quality sleep now I'm not dwelling on the negatives so much.6 -

✅☑️✔️
Positivity?
I practice “extreme gratefulness”
I Walk 10K each afternoon/evening as “Me & Nature Time” - all of which promotes positivity
I connect with friends & family
I learn
I create
I drastically reduced news reading…
I finally changed my sleep habits & am “off screen” 11-12 hours per 24 hrs.
I remind myself that “ All is well” and I “let go of all that I might wish were different.”
I savor each bite of food I eat & remember how I used to feel after (over)eating. A miracle that I changed this!
My husband is a funny, positive, caring partner.
All of this keeps me positive.

The graduation party went great. I allowed myself a piece of cake and some other good food, but stayed away from potato salad etc. I assumed I’d gone over but when I entered it all, found I was still under my limit. Yippee! Also, niece-in-law was exceptionally well behaved and there was no drama. I’m very close to that nephew so was really glad to be able to spend some time with him.6 -
Yes, yes and yes
Long distance walk of 10 miles. Felt good.
I try to remind myself daily of the need to be positive and grateful.8 -
