Great job, Kathy! I beat the rush and went to the grocery store at 8:30 a.m.!!

I might walk around the block today and see how my leg and ankle do. I'll be seeing my trainer in a couple of hours.

Did I tell you guys that Ronan is doing kindergarten in a virtual academy? Yeppy, yet! On the first day of class, I asked him what he thought..."Boring." Egads!! It's got better for him. He's having fun.

Haven't felt a lot of energy to workout lately...it is showing on the scale (snacking and wine aren't helping.) I did walk before the rain...luckily didn't have a call until 8am ;)

    Walked 53 minutes....

Kathy I loved all the photos. The card was beautiful as were the cake and vases of roses. I know she was super excited. You are welcome for the card. I still love to get mail. The cake looks to have butter cream frosting. Yummy.

I am so happy to know your brother is helping you. It can be stressful at times caring for my mom. And I have Rocky helping. Good thing you are retired. I know my sister enjoys her break

Wishing you all the best. Your bestest fitness sister. 😂🤗

I am glad I can do this on my phone tonight. To lazy to get on the computer.

Chris zoom school sounds horrible. My grandkids had to do it also. Must be hard if you have several children attending zoom

Paula and Karen I am having trouble getting motivated. If it is raining I just sit and pout. Got to get out with my mom more

I mentioned to Paula...a 1am tornado warning in our town got us all out of bed and in the basement in the middle of the night. We are all OK and our house is OK. A tornado did touch down a mile down the road....scary stuff. Some buildings were damaged, but luckily no one was injured. Crazy!

    Sara's b'day today!

Pat got his booster shot at Kaiser today because he has medical issues and they were offering it!! I get to wait until November for mine. So glad he got his, tho.

Spent 60 mins w/my trainer today then we watched Ronan while Pete took Sara to dinner for her b'day then I wrapped Ronan's presents now...I'm seriously thinking about bed!!! I still have to hit the grocery store before we get to Ronan's tomorrow for his party brunch. We are in charge of fruit dessert. It will be melons and whipped cream.

Must go now...can't think any more and my feet hurt! :'(

Chris - sounds like a good day. My sis is scheduled for her booster this week....Mom should be soon. I am eager when it is my turn. I got the J&J and knew going in it was a little less effective. Could use a boost!

Spent half of yesterday cooking. My nephew will be tranferring from community College to a 4 year school about an hour away. A big moment for Cameron! He will be living off site with 4 guys. He texted me and asked me if I would make lasagna, so of course I had to! Since I was making him one, I made a 2nd for us. Also made him chocolate chip banana break for him, and fresh salsa for us from the beautiful tomatoes I got from the CSA.

Back to school shopping with Bella today. I can't believe it is one week away!

I did walk yesterday...30.mins, but did get my 10K steps in with all of the running.

    Happy Sunday,

    Karen

Yesterday was Ronan's 5th b'day. He had one of those huge bounce houses out behind his house...an octopus on the top...I should NOT have gone in with him, but I did. My damaged knee from my fall is so angry today. I'm going back to icing it. :p We had so much fun. I can walk across the bounce floor, but I cannot get myself to jump. Weird. It's gotta be a brain thing. The young adults jump all around and play with the kids, but not us two old folks. Oh, well...

I was going to walk around the block today and see how I was doing, but I am grounded for now. Maybe tomorrow. I am going to read instead. :D

    Have a great day, everyone.

A friend took me to a local farm's vegetable stand and they recommended Early Girl tomatoes. OMG OMG OMG, they are SO good. Wish I could have you all over for brunch. <3

    Best wishes to all.

Paula we grow early bird tomatoes. Glad you like them

Chris I can't believe Ronan is 5 already. Crazy. Let that knee heal.

Karen school shopping was always my favorite.

I watched a movie last night. Reminded me of our group. Poms. Mom and I are still doing chair exercises. I stand and we sits.

Chris - hope Ronan had a GREAT day....what's not to love about a bounce house? So fun!

Paula - I've never heard of early girl tomatoes....I'll have to look them up....I got heirlooms, plum and cherry tomatoes that I picked off the vine. I was literally eating them on the field lol....

    Make some salsa yesterday...so good!o9ommj5vqeo1.jpg

Oh my gosh Karen, that looks so yummy. You can buy the plants next year and try growing your own. Early girl tomatoes are common here for sale as plants.

Anyone ever hear of Shefit sports bras? A friend recommended them and I was just seeing if anyone else has wore them.

Can I suggest a challenge in honor of Kathy's mom? <3

I was thinking we could do a simple workout for a few minutes and just keep her in our hearts and soul as we do it. I found a simple 7-minute low-impact "beginner" workout from Shaun-T (below).

Is anyone interested in doing this with me?

I used to do his workouts years ago!! I'm in!

I have my trainer at noon, the grocery store, this video, maybe walk around the block...see how my knee does...and finish my book. Such a busy day!! :D
