Man I just need a little vent. I hate standing out, I especially hate it being pointed out.
“You’re so tall!!”
“You’re a big girl”
“Got enough room there?”
Just bugger off and leave me alone.
I’m 5’10” American/Canadian size 16
I am neither massively tall or overweight. I am sometimes a lot taller than the other women depending on where we are.5 -
Friday, August 20
- Exercise: 6 km walk
- Net calories: 1043
- Vitamins: yes
Last day with my mom. We got up at 6:30 to go for another walk. The weather was much nicer this time so we managed to take some cool pictures. I walked her to the busstop at 12:30. These past few days have been so much more active than I am used to, so after I ate something, I crashed and had a nap. Though my calories have been low, my weight hasn't caught up yet which is a little annoying. Hopefully in a few days I will have a new lowest weight.3 -

Hi all, great to catch up with all the team's comments.
@CycleMomOf3 it is sooo disappointing when your efforts don't match the scales.I struggled with this too, just stick with it & you will get there.Sounds like you have alot of stuff going on,keep positive.
@CasandraW other people's comments about your appearance can be annoying,I agree.I'm only a short person & at school I used to get,"Aren't you cute, you're so tiny" I was always asked for my I.D in bars.Just love the skin you're in,which I'm sure you do & ignore the silly comments.Lucky you, every extra pound shows up on me.My husband very unkindly once said to me when I was deciding whether I was apple or pear shaped,he said I was a cube 😩
@Khill875 hope you enjoyed your Birthday, treats are allowed.🎂
@dillyg08 this journey is a roller coaster, hold on tight you got this !
I am having a major declutter of my bedroom today.I have to empty the room as we are having the bedrooms plastered. Is anyone else on here a bit of a hoarder ? I have so much stuff & I definitely hang onto that has sentimental value.I am trying to be ruthless as I do feel better when I get rid of it.
I have bravely sold alot of my bigger clothes on ebay hoping that my serial yoyo dieting will stop this time.
Have a great weekend & hope you all reach your own goals.🙂6 -
@jessicakrall8 yes I did mean soccer.Alot of people support Manchester United eventhough they are not from my hometown. My two boys played since they were 6 years old.So I was a soccer Mum every weekend for many years.I'm not really into watching football so used to be a soccer widow, but then my husband would take the boys to the matches & I enjoyed a bit of ME time.2

I am going to be out tomorrow and may or may not have access to internet. Is it ok to send my weigh in today instead of tomorrow?

Sorry for being late with weigh in. I've been in and out of the hospital all week and didn't get home until 2:00am. I forgot all about it until I weighed myself this morning. 🤦🏻♀️

Back from vacation and ready to get down to it.
Here are my steps from this week. Not what I had hoped, but rain and wildfire smoke, along with hours in the car, made walking/hiking difficult. I did spend lots of time in the pool, but my Fitbit is not waterproof lol

Added working out this week again, tried to start 21 day fix (which is NOT hard!)
I was so sore I couldn't sit or walk for 3 days. 😂 Tried again today, feeling better. Scale says I'm uo approximately 4 lbs in water so not worried about it.
This week I also went out to breakfast with my husband every single day. He's on his 2 week vacation and our daughter started school so I took advantage. Went crazy and had potatoes 😂. No bread, no sugar. Just omelettes with veggies and either fruit or potatoes.
This is why I've been so strict with myself though. For me to lose fat, I have to undereat significantly. I can maintain fine and if I eat refined carbs, I can gain 5 lbs a week it is very easy for me to gain. But losing always requires me to restrict quite a bit, which makes exercising hard. No dairy, very limited fat, mostly veggies and lean meat. But I want to workout because my goal is to hike and ride horses and swim and be fit, not be skinny (although I need to be thinner to ride my horses). It will be a balancing act for now and require some sacrifice this month if I want to maintain my 10 lb ish per month loss.
The next 10 lbs means a lot to me. 10 lbs means I'm overweight, not obese. It is the next dress size down - a dress size 14, the last plus size. It's where I'm comfortable being in photos and happy/proud of myself. I feel like that will be the first time in this process where I can put my head up and say yeah! You've really come a long way. It's also closer to where I feel I can start adding hard exercise without hurting myself. The next 10 lbs is sooooo close, but I'm going to have to buckle down to get there.

@ewilhelm2487 I am SO sorry to hear that you're having such trouble...hope you and the baby are ok!!!! I can certainly understand where a weigh in was the last thing on your mind! Give us an update, if that's not too personal...I'll be praying...and hope your bouts with nausea are getting better, not worse. I have a friend who's on wk 33 of a high risk pregnancy...she's been sick the ENTIRE time and was joking this past week that it felt like she'd been pregnant for 18 months! They just set her caesarean date...I know she'll be glad and all she's hoping for is for her son to be born healthy! I hope the same for your little one when it's time...but I hope you get to feeling better too...

Up 3, it was a rough week here too. Back to it yet again.

I rarely get time out of the house, but my spousal unit offered to watch the kids so I could go for a bike ride. I don't think he intended for me to be gone for 3 hours, but hey, if I got out more often, my rides might be shorter, yo.
I'm a gravel rider, mostly, and I saw lots of fun stuff, from 2 unicyclists to an old-timey river baptism to lots of mud (my Cannondale LOVES mud) and even a trail washout, to which my bike (affectionately called "Black Beauty") scoffed and nearly squealed with joy as we got to play in the water as we rode through it (ok, that might have been me, but anyway). I do love my outdoors time.
I needed the time to get out of my head a bit these days and just work my body until it hurt. I did that. It's funny, because on the drive home, I realized that my approach to my favorite activities has really changed. I used to be more focused on my pace, be it rowing on the river, biking, swimming, running, etc. But now, I'm so much more focused on endurance. I'd rather ride for 25 miles more slowly than to ride for 10 quickly. I'll leave the racing for the kids. I guess I've moved to being an endurance-seeker instead. Weird.
I'm more visually oriented, so pardon the photos. Just wanted to share some pretty shots. I hope that your weekend is going well!!! It's been fun, though, my fellow watchers on the wall, even if we (hopefully) are sent back to our houses next week! Thanks for the company on this frozen wall!

I am 12wk with what seems forever to go. I'm hospitalized atleast once a week due to severe dehydration. I am on two different anti-nausea medications to help and it does for a few days then I start to feel bad again.
I have had Hyperemesis gravidarum with all my pregnancies and with my youngest I was sick every day except the day I went into labor.
I'm trying to stay positive and keep pushing through. The second trimester gets better but I still can't eat alot. I've lost 25lbs in 6 weeks and I'm just exhausted and want to start to feel relief.
Baby is healthy though. It's sucking my soul from my body 🤣🤣5 -
Sorry for the late weigh in.
Cw 187.3. I am on vacation as well this next week. So I won't be weighing in but I will watch what I eat. I have to get back into recording4 -

Saturday, August 21
- Exercise: Dance with Deepti workout
- Net calories: 1250
- Vitamins: yes
Had a bit of a slow day. I was too tired to go out for a walk, but I did my workout in the evening before bed, had a shower and then slept like the dead. I may do this more often in the future. My sleep is generally fine, but some days I have trouble falling asleep. A workout in the evening helps a lot with that.
Slightly annoyed that my weight is bouncing around all week. I was down to 210.5 on Wednesday, walked a lot, workout out a lot, had good calorie decifit and it still went up again. I know this is 'normal' but it would have been nice to be able to report a better weight today.

I had the same thing with my pregnancy, ended up losing 41 lbs and was never able to eat much of anything but that first trimester was the WORST.
Maybe we can go in halfsies, write the pregnancy weight loss diet book and become millionaires. 😂3 -

It actually is a great example, because failure leads to success. No person (or very few people) just lose 100+ lbs without plateaus or gains. By being cognizant of the downs, you're learning and preparing for your next loss. By not giving up, you are already succeeding!
