I’ve been feeling a little shaky (very unlike me) - beginning to think it’s the dramatic decrease in sugar & salt. Should go away soon. I’m eating nutritiously.5 -

I was getting bored with my current workout and slacking the last couple of weeks so I decided to do the EPIC workout program: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpis3RcTw6t47XO0R_KY4WQ
I started with the one week beginner workout just to see what it is all about. Day 1 was a lower body workout with no equipment outside of a wall, chair and mat. It was mostly different kinds of lunges and squats. I had no problems with squats though there were a couple that involved the chair which I skipped. I don't have that kind of balance. The lunges were more problematic as some were a little too hard on my knees so I modified them and did them much slower. Anytime I had to skip an exercise I did crunches instead. My knees are hurting a little bit but otherwise I have no sore muscles as my legs are relatively strong already.

2️⃣ pass days used this monthThat gardening yesterday really worked my back and arms, as predicted. It was very hot here today, and I got to the outdoor pool to swim laps. I was so happy to get back into the pool as it has been too cool to contemplate that for the past week and the indoor lane pool has been closed for repairs and maintenance. The days of outdoor swimming for this season are coming to an end. I’m pretty nervous about moving to the indoor pool as our numbers here are the worst in Canada, and to complicate matters, I am immune compromised.
Long walk tonight with the puppy and it is bedtime here now.

Still in London, doing lots of fun things with the kids and walking my legs off. I cannot do much about controlling my calories though, although I am not going mad on anything, try and eat as responsibly as possible. Luckily I don't have a sweet tooth and I don't like most fast food...
One more day in London, then back to France on Wednesday 1st, in time to start the September Challenge!5 -

I took a delightful 57 mile bike ride yesterday to a state park. Sat by the lake for awhile to rest. It was so peaceful, there was only 1 person on the beach and two kayakers in the water. Unfortunately the concessions were closed but there were some vending machines so I could resupply my water bottles. I plan to do a lot more in the future!
