    ~~ October Week Four ~~

    We made it to the end of the month already, folks! Hard to believe we're nearing the end of the year. How are we feeling about 2021? Are we feeling hopeful for the rest of the year? Tired from the first 10-ish months?


    Quick Update from Me:

    I've been feeling under the weather for the past week or so, which means I have been eating a bit more than normal to help my body fight off this annoying cold (just a cold, no fever or aches). I've been essentially abusing cold medications and hand sanitizer, and wearing a mask while doing anything at all, including exercising, merely because the thought of not getting out of my apartment at all sounds like a worse fate than being sick for longer.

    All of this would explain my weigh-in for the week. Sickness and extra food = water retention and bloating.
    October Week Four
    Weigh In Day: Wednesdays
    PW (Previous Weight): 169.6 (October 19th)
    CW (Current Weight): 171.2 (October 27th)
    LTD (Loss to Date): 62.8 lbs

    Is this the smartest course of action? Maybe for my mental health, but I suppose we'll have to see how my physical health responds.

    I'd like to let everyone know that the wonderful Teresa Wilson @TeresaW1020 is stepping down as Moderator after a wonderful term of service. She has kept the home page looking great, made sure we run all kinds of great challenges, fixed up our graphics, and kept the habit tracker going, among many other things. We will miss her as Moderator, but she will still be Captain of Team Mission Slimpossible and invaluable member of our community. Thanks Teresa! It has been a pleasure working with you :heart:

    As always, you have several options every single week:
    • Post your updated weight
    • Ask to be excused
    • Request to be moved to the cheer squad (you are still part of the team, but not required to post weekly weight updates)
    • Not weigh in and be marked as an NWI (non-weigh-in)

    Two weeks in a row as an NWI and you will be dropped from the team. Make it easier on everybody and just tell us if you'd like to be excused, moved to the cheer squad, moved to another team, removed from the group... you get the idea.

    Hi everybody - I'm Joanna, and I am new here, just joined, hoping to find the motivation that disappeared back in spring. Motivation to lose weight. As so many others I go through "gain-lose-gain-lose" cycles all my adult life (I'm 48), staying in the "gain" zone most of the time. Being part of a challenge helped in the past and I know it will help now as well. (Even making a decision to join helped last night to stay away from snacking in the evening!)
