Congratulations and well done to all who made it to the winners circle!! To all who kept going despite a setback... fantastic effort... I think my favorite quote today is by Winston Churchill "Failure is not fatal and success is not final. It is the courage to continue that counts!" So - winners circle and the rest - here we go courageously taking another step forward! I'm technically starting my day...so I can't post yet...but just had to say well done to you all!11

My exercise today included a session at the gym – only the fourth time I’ve been since they closed in April 2020! I renewed my membership a couple of months ago and gave myself a stern talking to last week. I use the resistance machines but I’m starting again with low weights and reps. Need to work on my legs – I have arthritis in my hips and knees.

5 mile run. I almost just went home instead, my body was so not feeling this run. I convinced myself to run two miles. Then I was like I can handle 3. Then again 4, and 5 - up until I did my full scheduled 5 miles. As much as I want to celebrate that I wonder if my body really needed the break, omg I feel like I got hit by a bus. I’m going to try to get some yoga in before bed so I can move tomorrow.
Today was honestly kind of a crappy day where I wanted to stab a few people until hubs brought me home a fleece shirt from Kohls that’s so soft I could fall asleep standing and FedEx came to deliver a surprise package from a coworker that had Golden Girls Mad Libs and GG Finger Puppets in it. Magically, my day turned around.
Anyhoo. It was a good day. 🤗12 -

Cheering for you in achieving that 5 mile run Maryann! Hope the yoga helps tonight and that you have a restorative rest tonight. I have no idea what Kohls is but that shirt sure sounds cozy and your GG swag is fab! Your co-worker really knew how to brighten your day. @mshawski

7 miles on the elliptical the start to a great month.
Question after my surgery can I count any walking I do as exercise until I can resume lifting and high intensity cardio? Even if my pace is snail paced?6 -

@tahm42 you get to decide what counts. Whether it's walking, or cleaning house, or even stretching. It's 20 minutes of intentional movement to stay healthy, the criteria is entirely up to you.4

Can't believe I woke up feeling under the weather on day 1 of the challenge. I think it's an acute case of acid reflux. My chest hurts and I can't hardly take a breath. I didn't get any activity in today (been in bed all day trying not to move much)
I did log everything I ate, was mostly water.
Stayed under calorie goal, only had 800 calories cause of the pain in my chest.
Guess I'm taking a pass day. I'm sorry guys12 -

Exercise: LOTS more than 20 minutes worth of walking ... over 15000 steps worth! (some exergame, some walking outside, 2 sets of "pacing while on the cordless phone"
