@donna25trinity Way to go on conquering that hill today! 🏆
@lesdarts180 I am inspired by your return to the machines at the gym. I can see you giving yourself a “stern talking to” and sometimes wish you’d come here to Canada and deliver one to me! Keep on keeping on Lesley 💛
Super to see all three ✅✅✅ Chris and hope you are continuing to heal well. @WhatMeRunning
@dsgoingtodoit
I love that Churchill quote and it was a perfect choice for today! "Failure is not fatal and success is not final. It is the courage to continue that counts!" Thank you for sharing that with us today and inspiring me. 🥰

Wednesday December 1
So pleased to see all the posts today! Will check back tomorrow on this thread to read further posts regarding December 1.
As for me, I expect this for today and will report back if anything changes:
✅ Tracked all (and was reminded by the post today by @SummerSkier that I need to do more pre-logging for this week and the recurring daily items (2/3 cup milk for my tea; all my vitamins, minerals, and supplements, etc) for all of
December.
✅ Still quite under in calories for today so will need to have some more protein before calling it a day.
✅ Exercise - Stepping onto the treadmill for the final steps and exercise of the day. Very icy outside here again today and I destroyed one set of IcyTrax earlier today on the dog walk and had to cut it short. Got two replacement pairs tonight at Costco so there I now have a set PLUS a spare. Talked my husband into having a set too. 🌟
Wishing everyone a good night/morning/day — wherever you are in the world. 🥰

Can anyone believe this challenge goes through New Year's Eve?
@mshawski for some reason I love how you find joy in those puppets.9 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES5 -
Exercise 20+ minutes? YES...5.5 mile hike in the mountains. 107 minutes

Track: yes
Calories: yes
Exercise: yes- Upper body dumbbell workout
Since I got a lot of walking in over vacation I decided today had to be an upper body workout. I got my Pfizer booster shot today along with my second shingles shot. No pain from the injection because unlike the first shingles shot this person knew what they were doing. I was dreading it for the last couple of months and instead I have only a slight sore arm on the shingles side but nothing on the Pfizer side. I'm hoping that continues tomorrow.
I'm determined to be in the Winner's Circle this month. I've logged all my food today including my final snack which I'll eat in a bit. I've also pre-logged the first two meals for tomorrow with plenty of space left for dinner and at least one snack.

I had to laugh a bit this morning - was "shopping my closet" and trying on dresses and jeans to find something that fit. Apparently my Apple Watch considers that exercise. I found some dresses and jackets that I don't think I've ever worn that now fit, some even with the tags still on. I was so excited :-)7 -
Exercise: yes - dog walk and some zumba - a few free weights

@Pammy757 - No worries about the Pass Day. Thanks for showing up! I hope and pray you feel better.
@Juffelman49 - Honey, sure hope you feel better soon! *hugz*. Never heard of Pahla B Abs. I guess she’s YouTube famous!?2 -

How exciting Marisa to have your own clothes boutique to shop from 🥰 I have asked my family for an Apple Watch for Christmas so I hope to know what “closing my Apple rings” means and how it can help me. ♥️

@Jjjcat - I love “killing two birds with one stone”. In your case, walk the dog and get workout/YES!). Great job!
@Donna25trinity You are well on your way to the winner’s circle again!
@SummerSkier - What discipline! I’d like to cultivate that Pre-Log Habit, do you do it the night before or day before?
@Lesdarts180 - “...and gave myself a stern talking to last week…” THAT part made me chuckle! Oh now I know how that “donating to the gym” and you’re not going feels. Glad you showed up today. Let’s finish this month Strong!
@TerriRichardson112 - YES! Welcome to December. You’re going to do just as amazing as you did last month! Congrats on No passes in November!4 -

@Healthymumlife - From one mom to another, I love your username. Super cute!
@Mshawski- Wow! You put in work with those 5 miles. Sometimes, showing up is just half the battle. Oh and those GG finger puppets were PRETTY epic...Just sayin...
@Tahm42- Great Elliptical Work! I see @WhatMeRunning answered your question, but I wanted to add that being physically active and consistent is the goal, not necessarily the intensity. You must do what’s best for your body and everyone goes through seasons. Go for time, but you can break it (5 min or 10 min increments) if you’re ever not feeling up to it. Take care!
@Bradkcrew Your hard work IS something to smile about! Three smiles, Let’s do it again tomorrow!

@Mrs_Hoffer - Good to see you back on the saddle on the first day, even though you are not feeling 100. Hope you start feeling more like yourself soon!
@BMcC9 - Good to see you starting out in fine fashion! Way to get those steps in!
@Avvuong - Walking Around Target for Exercise? I’ve totally done that before. Super Fun. Not mad at cha!
@Dsgoingtodoit - I never heard of the Winston Churchill quote "Failure is not fatal and success is not final. It is the courage to continue that counts!" It’s such a good one. Thanks for sharing. And BTW you were winning in the exercise department today with that triple hitter of Dog walking, Zumba and Weights. Way to Go!
@Yrc_pr A dance workout video? I wonder what kind of dance? Nevertheless, “Work it!” *high 5*

@_JeffreyD_ “perfect for December so far” LOVE IT! Soak it in whenever you can. Keep it up!
@Fossil9078- Way to work and preserve those bones of yours! *see what I did there?*
@Arc2Arc- Great hike! No scenic Mountains around here in Michigan so I bet that was a sight to see!
@Enlightenme3 - Congrats on being able to go showing in YOUR OWN closet! That has to feel so good and rewarding! Keep up the good work!
@LazyBlondeChef- Looks like it was a weights day on Wednesday. Does that mean you’re doing something different on Thursday? Sometimes I like to “Groundhog” a workout if I like it and just do it again!2 -

✅Great fast hills walk & my ankle
Has been so strong I decided to do 5 100-step slow jog sections.
✅calories under weight loss cal limit
✅tracked all to the gram
I’m pretty stoked to be able to jog a few bits for the first time in years with no ankle pain or swelling (injured 1999) - hoping all this daily walking for 4+ years has somehow fixed my ankle. Time will tell.
Perhaps I’ll be able to start dancing again sometime! My dream!
Very pleased with my turnaround Nov 26. 3 days always works the trick for me. And all my exercise is paying off; I’m passing a lot of people on the trail even when sticking to walking!!
Welcome to all our newcomers! Please please please give yourself 2-3 months to get the handle of UAC!!! Time well spent!
PS
I decided a few days ago I’m gonna be a fit “old lady” & started pushing it. Holding my arms out straight from my shoulder as I walk, etc. Harder routes.
Also going to shoot for getting to low end of my maintenance range & then go down 5lb more. Being lighter should help me walk faster, etc. I figure this may take me most of 2022 to lose a total of about 10lbs, but I’m
In range, so slowly is just fine.
Best,
🌸Maddie8 -
@Mrs_Hoffer thanks for this!
I’m so happy to finally make the winners circle. I did plan on more maintenance days then in previous months but I still managed to lose a pound.
@mshawski love GG, thanks for posting the picks of GG finger puppets 😂
Hope you feel recovered from your run.
I was so tired today I nearly went off the rails. I had a stressful day yesterday and ended up having a couple glasses of wine and then I went to bed very late so didn’t get enough sleep. I still went to my yoga class but couldn’t face going to bodypump so I went home. I then ate a snickers my husband left in the car hoping it would help me feel better. Then I went to the grocery store pick up pizza and cheese twists. I also grabbed a bag of strawberry fizzy laces but as I walked around the store I realised they would only make me feel worse so I put them back.
I ate the whole box of cheese twists while a single portion of pizza was in the oven. In the end I managed to eat 1,000 calories for lunch but as I had a very light breakfast and a light dinner I managed to stay under.
Too many factors that lead to me not making the best choices but I let my ‘monkey brain’ have the 1,000 calorie indulgence and then moved on to something new. Sure I could’ve handled it better but not letting dictate how the rest of my day went is progress. Also those sweets would led to more binging so I’m glad I avoided them.

Well, I ended last month strong, but started this month weak.
Exercise - 15 minutes MommaStrong, 45 minutes walk
Tracking - Preplanned. We got a takeout Hanukkah feast from a local restaurant, and I tried to estimate what I was going to eat. But then the food came and it was so much food and we decided to save some for later and eat it differently and then the kids wanted something else added to the menu and it just go too chaotic and I gave up on tracking and then did go a bit "hog wild" after that as the feast included dessert too.
Calories -I had planned for yesterday to be my high calorie day, so I may or may not have been over. Who knows?
Pass Day 1
I have today planned and tracked already, and I will be eating lunch outside of my house (which is not usual since I work from home) and it is already packed. That is at my maintenance calorie level, which I had planned to do until Monday when I go back to my weight loss level.
I am definitely feeling eager to get back into the weight loss swing of things. I think this break has definitely re-energized me for weight loss. My body has been feeling really not great with all this stuff I have been eating!4 -
lol @jamcnewman I have twice in the past put the tree up without the cleaning (due to a herniated disk which stopped me getting about) and both years never really felt very xmasy , I am going to blame my mother for this as her house is always sparkling clean so I do it for xmas lol (i couldn't keep it like that all year2
