Just popping in to congratulate everyone's progress ... it looks like were are recuperating from the Holiday haze.
@coblujay - Congrats! Nice milestone
@Pupowl - Love the rocks- the mountain with night sky is my favorite. Your pictures are always great to see: I have to make a drive to get some nature scenery, so I greatly enjoy when you share.5 -
We went out to dinner last night and while I was eating I caught myself making an involuntary sigh. This is something I knew but had forgotten about. When you are full, your brain and stomach send a message indicating that you’ve had enough to eat by sighing. I put my fork down for a minute and did a self-assessment. I indeed had enough to eat. Not stuffed, just full. I boxed up the leftovers to have for lunch today. I’m committing to listening for the sigh this week. I invite everyone to try this technique!9

Hey Guys, I hope you are all doing well and off to a flying start for the new year. A very busy time for me running the year end with a few all-nighters. Caved in and ate a whole family pack of crisps at 3 am one night. At least that was the only lapse.
Started the year at 118 and down to 115 so a far start. This has got to be a better year for sure.
Keep smiling!6 -
@coblujay congratulations! That’s amazing!
Daily check-in: today was a more restful day, but I listened in on an online group session for postpartum physical therapy. All the stuff for moms was kinda pointless for me and I knew it already, but they had some nice pointers about supporting babies in their motor skills development. Did some of the pelvic floor and core muscle exercises during the session. Home improvement was lots and lots of regular daily chores, and I scrubbed the toilet.
Throughout my pregnancy and until recently husband has cooked about 90% of our dinners. He’s been growing tired of it and I’m tired of taking care of the baby 24/7, so we agreed that one of us puts the baby to bed, however long that may take, and the other makes dinner, and we switch turns every other night. It’s up to coincidence which is more time-consuming, so it probably evens out in the long run.
I bought a cookbook meant for families with babies and toddlers, and the selling point is that it’s recipes that are simple and quick enough to handle with a baby, make minimal mess, and all recipes are designed so a baby learning to eat solids can eat the same stuff as parents. All the recipes have instructions for when to take out the baby’s portion for pureeing or chopping or whatever, and what modifications are needed. Our baby won’t start solids for a few months, but the recipes looked really good so I’m trying a couple this week.
Tomorrow: go on a walk with baby and pick up her new snowsuit from the post office, and make dinner.3 -

Wednesday Weigh-in
PW- 201.0
CW- 199.6!!!
Bouncing back and forth since Christmas, but finally below 200. I swam yesterday and got all my water in. I'm sure I'll be bouncing a bit up and down but will solidly be in the 190's in the next few weeks and then it's on to the 180's.
Congrats!!! You Rock!4 -

Ramblings of the day
Good morning Shape Shifters. My mom went home again on Wednesday. It was really foggy and grey in the morning, so we worked on painting stones and just chatted until her partner came to pick her up again. I was really tired and didn't get a lot of steps in during the day. By the evening, I was only at 6k so I had to step in my livingroom for around 50 minutes to hit my goal. Today will also be a rest day and tomorrow I hope to go out for a walk again.
Happy Thursday everyone

Today feels like a good day!3 -
Fitness action of the day: took a slight detour on my way to the post office. It was gorgeously sunny, but it's so warm everything is melting into wet, slippery slush. May or may not have bought a chocolate bar while there (it's connected to a grocery store).
Home improvement action of the day: plenty of chores, including two rounds of laundry, but managed to clean the microwave oven on top of everything else.
I was really, really touched today - a colleague texted that they're reviving an internal information bot at work and asked permission if they could name it after me since "everyone is already used to asking Hipari about everything". At the same time, they are literally replacing me with a robot, I'm so touched I cried a little, and I really want to know what's happening there and who is so frustrated and overwhelmed with having to do my old job they're automating the whole thing. This is a part of my job that I was pretty frustrated with, so at the same time I'm happy they're dealing with it, but annoyed they didn't take it seriously when I was the one doing it and complaining about the mental load.
Tomorrow: a walk with some other moms, and putting away some jackets and coats that have been on the floor for almost a month now. Yes, my house is a mess.6 -

So... i brought in the mini-stepper to work. I tried 8 min on it and was out of breath. Hoping 2 incorporate a few sessions throughout my workday 😊 I'll add a pic soon - not able to add an image via my phone for some reason.

Ramblings of the day
Good morning Shape Shifters. Despite the day starting off foggy as hell and grey, I started getting really restless and feeling lazy just sitting at home. So I went out for a walk at the end of the morning anyway. I went to the spot I found some nice stones with my mom and I managed to scavenge a few more to paint at some point. It was a bit wetter than I thought, and I didn't take my camera so no pictures this time. It was nice to get some fresh air though. They are holding another press conference here today and it looks like the gyms are allowed to open again, so maybe I can get a routine going next week.
Happy Friday everyone5 -
Great job everyone 😂🙂 way to knock a home run right outta the park yeeeeeeeeees woo woo4
