Way to go on your commitment to figuring this out. β I know how it feels to not close the Apple Watch rings β and it really hits you, right? Youβve got this Marisa and Iβll be watching for your success again tomorrow. Sending encouragement to you. π·3 -

Lost 8 pounds in a month only from tacking food! Loving how I look and feel now. Hurt rotator cuff is painful but no excuse for not hitting the gym for the bicycle. On vacation from work this week, so I plan on getting steps/gym time in especially when visiting Austin.6 -

Congrats to all the March Champions!!
April 3/22. No x 3 today for me.However not all bad news; I think I shared a couple of months ago that my mantra for the month was going to be "Don't let good be the enemy of perfect!". Well I've been keeping that phrase at the forefront of my mind, and it appears to have become a habit. I can say that despite having gone through some of the more stressful few months in my job since January hit, I have controlled my binges to be almost non-existent. But if I did give in to bingeing, it was with low calorie popcorn with about 30 grams melted cheese on it. I have also been careful that even if I am not tracking what I eat, my portions and choices are most likely within Maintenance. When I'm craving sweets, I am doing a single-serving size container of low fat coconut flavoured yogurt with 1 tablespoon each of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips and nut pieces with about 3-4 tablespoons of low fat whipped cream on top (replacing the ice cream sundaes). I'm trying very hard to not overdo it while I haven't been fully committed to the diet plan. I have also been trying to get some daily exercise in (I've been averaging about 5 days per week on this). Thanks to controlling the binges and sweets & continuing to squeeze a bit of 20-minute-minimum exercise in, I have been maintaining my weight within about a 5 pound swing. This is a HUGE success for me. I've been retraining my coping strategies for a year now and some are finally starting to take hold: simply amazing for me! I know it's not the 15th yet, but with the recent stress of my husband catching Covid this weekend, it hit me that I am handling it quite well. Yesterday I did housework even - which is another new coping strategy I've been employing: it does wonders for your mental health. The cleaning replaces smoking which unfortunately I only gave up in March 2020. But it's all progress. I will say being diagnosed with anxiety and now on meds has helped considerably; but the cognitive behavioural therapy (where I'm applying the new coping mechanisms) has been just as helpful. Anyway, a long post but I contribute a lot of my working through this to the UAC so I thought I'd share. In February, 2020, I was annoyed with myself in that everyone else in this group could meet the challenges but I couldn't. It dawned on me that I was self-sabotaging. So I ordered a book on it and started working through it. I also explored CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - still lots to work on but it's a start). Thank you UAC; I've been a tough nut to crack but progress is being made! My determination to stick with this group no matter how embarrassed I may be has been the key motivator in my continuing to work on my overall health and well being (this journey has expanded beyond weight loss for me). Anyway, if you made it this far, ty for listening. I hope everyone has a wonderful month!7 -
Yes x 3. 1 pass day used for the month3
