@kg_fit3 Congratulations on your achievements, keeping the weight off is not something most people can do, we tend to yo-yo. I like your idea of an average, we do put a lot of emphasis on the scale number every day. Welcome to the team.0

Heading in a better direction. Holding steady, eating well and got the green light from my physio to start a run/walk program. YAY!! 😁 Even just a 1 minute jog will feel so good to get my butt moving! Trying to work in the squat / pushup / plank challenges. I just keep forgetting and getting distracted while I'm counting. I think it's too easy or boring in for me. Hope @renaegry, that you have more commitment than me! And hope you figured out the posting thing. I click on my little icon/face and it says "share something" - that's how post to my newsfeed.
So nice to see new people here! ☺️
Today is get back on track. No excuses. I have been using my house Reno as an excuse for not working out. Drinking way to much booze on the weekends. No progress what’s so ever. Going to start the squat challenge today. Need to get the legs in shape big time. Plan is no booze (like my micolob ultras and Budlight selzers) unless I have the calories for it and will allow myself one day on the long weekend to let loose. Plan to walk or jog at least 3 days this week (have a busy week but sure I can fit that in). I did figure out the posting. This new platform will take some getting used to

Knowing that I was going to be posting this info on this thread definitely helped me make at least one better choice today. This morning, not even an hour after breakfast, I started to feel a little hungry. There was no logical reason for it...I ate plenty for breakfast (500 calories, 30 grams of protein, etc). Recently, I would have given in and had a snack. But today, knowing I would post here, I decided to wait 15 minutes, drink a glass of water, and do a few chores. Sure enough...after 15 minutes I wasn't hungry anymore and was totally fine waiting until lunch to eat again. Crazy how letting some time pass can curb what we perceive to be hunger.2 -

Keeping on target for my goal of losing about 1lb a week. That's 2 days in a row! I've been a little over a 500 calorie deficit both days, so I might need to adjust and eat a little more tomorrow to avoid getting too aggressive.1 -

I've been eating my "burnout" feelings. Just exhausted, and can't afford to pay for anything to lighten the load with inflation skyrocketing in my area. [vent] Gas and food budgets have MORE than doubled, utilities are up, and we're going through a heat wave to boot....and I am apparently incapable of hearing any criticism, even jokingly here lately, as I'm already burning the candle at both ends, beating myself up for not keeping up with the house/eating/working out like I should, broke af even though I've cut out EVERYTHING I enjoy (unless the bf is paying for it, which I think he's starting to resent)....[/vent]1 -

Today was rough, but I managed to stick to it! I went to bed later than normal yesterday and boy did I feel it today. But I decided to just allow myself to be tired and sit with the discomfort rather than trying to band-aid the feeling with food. I will definitely be getting to sleep at a healthier time tonight. Here's to tomorrow!1 -

Proud to have finished in a decent calorie deficit today. My energy levels were in the gutter and yesterday was pretty tough too. So I opted to up my calories for today. Hopefully it will be a nice recharge for tomorrow.1 -

Time to engage my discipline on what I'm stuffing in my face - I've been horrible about it, using all the "reasons" which are mostly just excuses if I'm honest...1 -

Hectic day at work, but I'm happy to report I make a conscious effort to NOT eat mindlessly through it. Those days have tended to be the "ah, screw it, who cares" days for me. It just takes one to undo several days of good effort and I was determined to not allow this to be one of those days.
