Who is your favorite YouTube Keto Influencer?

Hello! Glad I found an active (or semi-active 🤷🏻♀️) group on Keto. It’s been years since my last MFP adventure. Never tried keto before but it seems full of health benefits. Today is day 4. I’ve been so addicted to sugar and thinking I’ve become insulin resistant. Need to learn as much as I can. Who is your favorite keto influencer on YouTube?

Not a YouTube influencer but a pioneer on the subject Maria Emmerich.

Pretty much anyone who is presenting peer reviewed scientific studies based on empirical data, but only if they are not pushing a sponsor, book, or some kind of service. Academics with an axe to grind are OK with me as long as they aren't trying to make a living by promoting themselves, products or services.
YouTube has some real gems, but it also has a lot of influencers who will say anything they think their audience will keep coming back for. Those YouTubers make a living off confirming their viewer's biases. You don't need to have anyone telling you are insulin resistant/carb sensitive. You can test it yourself by cutting your net carbs to 20g/day and replacing those calories with healthy fats and protein for a few weeks. Its not easy at first, but its not going to hurt you either. If those carb (sugar) cravings go away you can experiment by slowly increasing net carbs until you find out what your body can tolerate.
When I started keto, I was shocked to find that what I had thought all my life was hunger throughout the day was really my body craving more sugars via carbohydrates. As my insulin spikes went away, so did those sharp, uncontrollable cravings. The real hunger was so minor it was too easy to ignore and found I was having to force myself to eat enough calories each day.
Good luck with your journey.7 -
Jimmy Moore was the first person i ever heard talk about Keto. He has been doing podcasting about keto since 2008.2

Dr. Cywes (The Carb Addiction Doc) is a good resource that helped me get to the root of my issues with junk food. Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Shawn Baker have some good videos as well. I listen to the Low Carb MD podcast from time to time as well.4

YouTuber Channel serious Keto. Steve does a great job at showing his Keto Journey. he shows pictures of before and after and tests a lot of the keto foods that you can buy recipes. And discussions.he does a real good job and very professional looking. Of course he was a facilitator and did seminars in his past career so that helps a lot to look professional on camera. he also shows ketone testing blood testing and he also does the continuous glucose monitoring and actually showed how that goes on your arm and works with your smartphone.of course some of these things he's showing kind of get up there in price especially the continuous glucose monitor but he also does it with a finger stick. Watching his videos taught me that monitoring your ketone is the key to being successful. He also talks about intermittent fasting a little bit.
