Whew, took my weekend this week (worked it last week) no workout but got a ton done. Cleaned my house, ran errands, and today I made treats for our Halloween party at work tomorrow. But Big NSV, I was busy running around town the first half of today, I stopped for a latte ( I only do that 1 to 2 times a month) but then I went to Wendys to get a burger and fries, but as I started to order, I ordered an Apple Pecan salad instead. The burger sounded so good, but I need to start making better choices.5

How do you force yourself to drink more water? It just tastes Blah to me lately and I noticed that I'm barely drinking more than a cup a day some days. Yesterday I had 4 cups of coffee but 1 20oz cup of water all day. I'm breast feeding still so I know waters important but Im just not feeling it right now. 🥴2

@Walela617 When I had COVID it started with the worst headache I’ve ever had in my life. For me the headache lasted a couple days and then I was left with lingering sinus pain.2

@ewilhelm2487 have you tried water enhancers? My daughter uses the drops in a little squirt bottle. Just be sure to check that they have zero sugar so you don’t end up with dental problems.2

@angmarie28 way to go making healthier choices. An apple pecan salad sounds tasty. That's great about the exercise bike and that your job keeps you active as well!

Yup- that’s right- I’m up over 8 pounds in one week!
Obviously some of this has to be water weight, but I haven’t been logging my food because I’ve been eating whatever I wanted to, without regard for nutrition or even hunger for that matter. Oh well. Today is a new day and next Friday will be better.3 -

Good morning Shape Shifters. I had another emotional week. I spent all of Tuesday at the emergency department with my eldest child, who was told at an ultrasound appointment that they had appendicitis and that we needed to go to emerg right away. Luckily it turned out not to be appendicitis and my child is fine. PHEW! I am so very relieved! However, it was only two weeks ago that I was also at the ED with my friend. The stress of it all of this is seriously kicking my butt. I was completely useless on Wed and Thurs. Not enough energy left to eat well or track anything. In fact, I stress ate a lot I went to bed early last night and started today with a jog with my pup. Going to try to get back on track with eating better, but it might be a slow bounce back and I think that's okay.

Yeah, it looks good, but-I had a colonoscopy two days ago so I’m probably still a little light, if you know what I mean! Doc found three polyps, still waiting on pathology report but nothing jumped out at him.
Garage sale went well last Friday-couldn’t have asked for better weather and we sold most of the big stuff. Nice to have a little extra room. For now.
On to redoing my daughters former room.I decided on a paint color and got the paint tinted and bought the supplies I need. I ordered a new mattress for the room but still need to order a platform to go with it. Realistically, I can only paint in the afternoons, due to my workout schedule and current PT appointments. I have exactly three weeks to complete this room transformation-wish me luck!
Oh and I have to help my son file a protest for his state tax return (I’m a retired CPA who specialized in corporate tax so it’s not a failure to adult on his part or anything like that, lol) But we have a deadline to file and of course it’s in the middle of all the fall holiday stuff, like I don’t have anything else to do!
I’m seeing some improvement with PT. My Achilles tendinitis has improved a lot in the past week, thanks to the PT using the scraping technique. Knee still needs work but I’m seeing a difference there too. Hoping to start back on my regular walking soon.
We are finally getting fall weather in Texas and I’m inspired to pull out the cool-weather recipes. I have a nice pot roast in the crockpot today.
Goals for the week, besides juggling all the above plates, is to do a better job of tracking food and drinking more water.
