I had a great weekend and my activity was up from the last few weeks and so is my mood. Funny how that works.
Amazing loss @LoraineGB @lauren_989 and @KellyBgetsfit

Non zero day: went for a walk around the neighborhood after work 🌞🌷4

I'm sorry for the late weigh-in. Yesterday was hectic. I actually had the page pulled up first thing yesterday and was sent on a rescue mission before I even finished my first cup of coffee. From then, it was just go-go-go.
I forgot my fitbit in the charger, so I have no steps to report on paper, but I can promise that I took a bunch.
Anyway ....

I did weight training and treadmill work at the gym. Right now, I don't even remember what days. I'm thinking it was Monday - Thursday. I know each day was 2 total hours with the last 30 minutes of treadmill walk/run intervals. I'm doing C25K on the treadmill as my "training" for a 5K next month.5 -

I had a few good non-zero things today. I ate well, gave blood, avoided triggers, and both moved and rested. I did my workout this morning, but finally made a discovery about why I tend to do my trainer-designed workout program less often than I would like. It is a well-balanced workout, connecting breathing, general dynamic movements, specific strength and mobility building, and then a good going over of the places that need fascial release and simple presence. I have been frustrated with myself for a while that I do not do these workouts as often as the more straightforward Pilates sessions or just walking, snowshoeing, and other "normal" daily activities. The workout design turns out to be very emotional for me. Every time I do it, I fall in love with it, even when it is hard. But it is not easy to start - it is such a great exploration of the body that it creates an emotional reaction that I am having more trouble stepping into. Anyone else have this kind of reaction to your movement regimens? I absolutely never regret going there, but it is sure hard to decide to do so sometimes. It is more than a number of reps of a number of exercises. This trainer really has helped me connect play, breath, spontaneity, effort, power, and all kinds of other big themes. It is intense!
No stationary bike allowed tonight though - gotta have an easy evening after giving blood!5 -
Non Zero wins today are: I drank my water and I ate to my meal plan. I didn’t want to work out and spent the day watching tv 🙆🏼♀️. So before going to bed I checked in here and saw @jugar ’s post about doing something non zero.
I reluctantly did a quick 30 minute beginner Tabata class. Not like @PlaneMonkey with weights, just a beginner mixed cardio. Now I’m laying in bed very pleased with myself and very grateful for the nudge ☺️4 -

A better loss this week than I've had for a while. I'm doing a lot of strength training, 6hrs a week, so I have a feeling that muscle gain is masking a lot of fat loss on the scale. My clothes are fitting better and I can see the muscle definition. I'm off to Portugal tomorrow so it's going to be a week of challenges in terms of sticking to a calorie deficit, but there'll be a lot of opportunity for me to get in extra activity so it'll be interesting to see what the outcome is when I get back.5 -
@jugar I can't say I've ever had an emotional response to exercise like you've just described but I'm intrigued! usually I'm just cursing my trainer based on the exercises they've decided to include (full squat thrusters I'm looking at you!)
My tabata class this week and last were cancelled as the gym wasn't available but since the spring session starts the week immediately following the winter session, to make up the missed classes, they're adding an extra 30 minutes onto the 2 sessions remaining. eeek! that'll be an hour and 45 minutes of intensity, 2 weeks in a row. I'll definitely be feeling emotional after that!
Good for you @LoraineGB for gifting tomorrow's you with that workout. Every little calorie burned counts!4 -
Sorry to be late @jugar!

The scale has been all over the place. I have been getting more exercise and am seeing results from it - increased stamina during workouts and my hike, muscle definition starting, and my waist is back!
I've worked through the fact that I will not be where I wanted to be for my trip to Australia. But I found 2 pairs of shorts to take that fit at least. The friends we are visiting are quite health conscious so I should be able to eat well and there will be walks swimming, hikes and I can do BurpeeGirl videos.
I will need a pass for April. I am traveling 20 out of 30 days across two trips. I'll check in mid month when I'm home then be back for May.5 -

There goes my green month 😫. The scale was all over the place from 214-217.
I have my 5k on Saturday, I am looking forward to that!5 -
@lauren_989 I hear you on the scale all over the place! Let's blame the March winds or something. I'm glad you're looking forward to Saturday's 5k - we'll all be rooting for you
I had a fabulous walk today - a bit over 10k (6.5-7 miles) total, including 3 round trips on our crazy hill between the house and car (about a half mile each way). The sun was super bright, and I just kept on going. Now I'm heading for the sauna. That should feel good too. I'll be driving back down to my dad's tomorrow to visit a couple more memory care/assisted living places with my step-mom. The one we visited last time is just too blasted expensive and their insurance won't cover it. Too bad - it was really nice. But these other 2 look good, and we hope to be able to decide soon. I think it is getting to the point of no return - it is too hard for her at home. So I'm glad I had good walking today, so the long hours in the car tomorrow won't be too terrible. It's going to be pouring rain, though
If I don't get back to post the Thursday people later, here it is - a very short list this week
@bowens1973 (probably excused for this week? I forgot to mark it...)

Hi everyone! My week has been crazy. Still working on all things related to selling a house. Sunday we went to see a house with our realtor. We put an offer on it and found out Monday that it was accepted! So we are also in the process of buying our home 🏡 It’s so cute. Built in 1920, sturdy home, well cared for. And guess what? It has a lovely garden including two raised beds and room for a third just waiting to be tended and loved.

Today we drove all day down to our North Carolina house to try and empty it of our stuff. Son still has no new job so he will probably have to come stay with us for a bit since he has to be out of our house so we can close on it. When I tell you this is super hard stuff, I am not kidding. He’s a hard worker with a bad break of a lay off at the worse time possible. Oh my stress. Thankfully, my stress mode is little appetite rather than shoving everything in my face.
That said I am weighing in early as I have no scale down here.

Greetings Friends!
Just a quick check in before our accountant turns up - he only comes to visit if we've been bad!
@micki48 Sending my prayers, thoughts and hugely positive vibes to you and your son to turn things around for you. For all of you! You've had such a stressful year already. "Universe - give these people a break!"
It looks like we're all super busy at the moment. I know I am. After our accountant leaves I need to prep for a meeting with a client this afternoon. I've designed a training programme for them and the meeting is a debrief. Then I need to mark the work that I set for my apprentices yesterday.
Last night was choir night and it was brilliant - well needed 2 hours of singing Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen and George Ezra. Such fun!
I've only managed one workout so far this week, but I'm hoping to either get a long walk in this afternoon, or get on my exercise bike.
Time to go!

Hi all,
Greetings from Mission BC - if you have to be away from home for work, this is one of the better places to be for sure. Calgary still has a ton of snow and I was comfortably sitting on a patio having my dinner yesterday.
Just a reminder for @jugar that I don't have access to a scale this week and need the week off. Appreciate your understanding.
Have a great rest of your week friends!

Greetings from plane #2 after a whirlwind overnight and flight back from Lloydminster for a business trip earlier today.
Meeting Brad and we will have a nice weekend away! It's supposed to be rainy but I still plan to walk as much as we can. I always feel good when I get at least 10K!3 -
CW 191.4
too bad about that hiccup last week but I'm back on track in the Green. I hope to get 4 weeks this month at least instead of all 5.
Have a great weekend Ashely and Brad!
@micki48 sending all the good vibes your way!
A friend got me hooked on a French language podcast that as I'm listening to it, they keep bringing up discussions we've had here as a group and it's really bringing me full circle on things like:
changing habits instead of going on a diet
realizing that motivation is an emotion, and discipline is part of your behaviour.
change your mindset to think of yourself as the person who does the things you want to achieve, so your sense of being won't limit you
As I listen to it (on my bus ride in the dark into the office) It makes me realize how far I have grown as a person as I shrank in size while with this group for the past 2 years.
I will be in the car for most of the day today, eating salty fast food so hopefully I don't self sabotage after all of this personal growth!! Gotta give that gift to my tomorrow self of at least one thing.
Have a great day Team!5 -

Back to my weight from the end of February, so that’s good! I definitely feel better now that I have more of an established gym routine again and our home gym area set up. We still have a lot of work to do at the house and still have boxes to unpack, but it’s getting there.
I’ve already booked my gym classes for next week, and a friend of mine wants to meet up virtually to do some yoga together.
Hope everyone has a great day!6 -
@micki48 - Thoughts are with your son. I feel for young adults trying to get their footing in the working world and how much harder it is on them. Keep us posted we are rooting for him.
@jugar - All the best this weekend with your father. Hope you are able to find the perfect place for him and give your mother in law a break. Older adults do so much work caring for their spouses. Also interesting perspective about your workout class. I do my exercise at home since COVID but really want to do a structured class but too nervous to commit to anything. Perhaps my way of avoiding going out and trying something new.
I had a great week getting up early to get my workout done and in bed early feeling refreshed the next day. It feels like I have so much more time in my day if I get it done early and have more time to focus on work, school and being a mom.
It's spring break next week for my 8 year old. Will be doing a lot around the city and meeting up with friends which I'm excited for and have a change from the usual.

Wow - that was some day. Quite the emotional rollercoaster, but all is well and we're all heading for what promises to be a great night's sleep.
But first, it is so cool that @LoraineGB is teetering on the very precipice of Onederland! Party coming next week
I'll hopefully have more time to post a bit tomorrow (not to mention do a good workout...). For now, we're all ready for the Saturday weigh-ins, plus a couple of stragglers -
